This is one of those strip malls that's anchored by one store, which is a supermarket. The smaller retail units make up the remainder of this strip mall. This strip mall is anchored by Shop-Rite (reviewed separately). Notable tenants include Pet Valu, Hallmark, H&R Block, a Mailbox Business Center, Dollar (Plus) store, and Edible Arrangements. Other tenants include, but not limited to, a dry cleaner, a laundromat, florist, and a mixture of eateries. Of course there are some vacant units here, too. I've come here to patronize Shop-Rite and Starbucks (reviewed separately). I didn't have any issues finding a parking spot, unless it's because of the fact that I come here on weekday mornings when necessary. I also didn't run into any issues when entering or leaving the parking area either. I also walked from one end of the strip mall to the other. It was a pretty good walk. The strip mall appeared to be old, but in an okay condition. The roof top was brown, and the color around the signage appeared to be white. Triangular-shaped rooftops were visible on some parts of this strip mall. But what really matters is whether or not this strip mall has the place that you need to patronize at. Overall I'd say this is a very good strip mall.

Nail salon, a supermarket (overpriced, UPS store, Baskin Robbins, and a deli. It's all in one strip so its very easy to get one place to the next. There really isn't anywhere in terms of shopping, but if you need to get any other errands done, this shopping center is probably the best bet!

Ahh, this strip mall has been around for a really long time, even longer before I was born in the…read moreextreme early 90s. When I was a little toddler in Garwood, my dad would take me out here just to walk around. There was an "open space" area with visible steel structures where I used to just run around briefly during those times. Today, that "open space" is still there. This strip mall has two anchor stores. Since the early 90s, those anchor stores were Walgreens and Kings. During the 90s, they had some other notable stores that I remember either going into or passed by when I was little. Those stores included Radio Shack, Encore Books (I bet a lot of you during those times remember this store!), Dress Barn, an Eye DR place, a liquor store, and a laundromat. The roof tops on the strip mall were green, and some green circles were visible on some parts of the strip mall as well. The parking lot is huge, and reasonably sized for all of the patrons here. The parking lot is also for patrons only, since they don't like commuters parking for the purpose of boarding trains. In the 90s, the parking area revealed a lot of old, faded parking stripes and designs, which proved that the parking layout was different long before I existed. But fast forward to today, the old parking decals are long gone, and the lot itself is quite smoother than before. Today, the stores that are still in business since the 90s include Kings, Dress Barn, an Eye Dr place (with different name), and a laundromat. Encore Books was gone and the space was probably taken over by Pet Valu. Walgreens moved further down the road, and Crunch Fitness took their former spot, thus making them an anchor. The liquor store got replaced by GNC. The steel structures were covered up in the "open space" area. The roof tops are still green today, as well as the circles, except for the one circle on top of Investors Bank. Not sure why that was painted with a different color. Overall, this strip mall serves the purpose of catering to the patrons in a very small town. I've never had an issue with parking here at all. Walking from one end of the strip mall to the other is pleasant. But be patient when trying to make a left turn into the strip mall from South Avenue as the opposing traffic can be very hectic at times. Cheers!

Had lunch at G-Pot (Used to be Ruby Tuesday), Barns & Nobel and so many good stores here. ShopRite (formerly Pathmark). It's next to Rt 22; there is Starbucks and Best Buy here as well. Many other errands came be completed here as the plaza includes a couple places to eat, Marshalls for clothes and household, Great Clips for haircuts, Best Buy for Electronics, Thrift Store for deals, Dollar Tree for the cheap needs and more. If you can't find what you need, Route 22 awaits where everything else you could want is out there. Of course beware of weekends as everyone comes out. Best thing about this shopping center is also the back access from Liberty Ave./Morris Ave. so Route 22 isn't even necessary as that itself is often filled with traffic. Yup Union Plaza is great.

There's actually a variety of stores, gyms/health businesses, and restaurants/eateries there that are thriving. I've only parked in one of the outside lot spots, and not in the deck (see Howard's review - is that still the case in the garage?). Knock on wood, I haven't had an issue/situation so far. I remember what that corner of S. Livingston Ave and Mount Pleasant used to look like before the town center. It's nice to see that area evolve and grow over the years.

They need to enforce the drivers and empty cars to move that are all stopped down the side of the…read moreroad to enter and exit these establishments. You cannot drive on the road unless you play chicken with oncoming cars. You cannot walk out of the coffee shop or store without weaving between the vehicles because they're in front of the doors. No one enforces anything until someone gets hit. And I have seen a lot of near misses. The stores pay a lot to be there . And they get no safety for their patrons. IT iS RIDICULOUS. And I'm there often unfortunately.
