I notified Jeff Knapp of the situation a month ago. He asked me to send photos, which I did and have not heard back from him at all. From the very beginning of this project Jeff has shown an unprofessional attitude toward my project. He thought it was not necessary to come and view the site where the lanai was to be extended. This decision cost the project 3 weeks when the equipment arrived months later and found they could not get to the site because the equipment was too big and the access too small. He gave me a completion date of October. At the end of December the project was completed. One week before I returned with my family. He did not even meet the time frame. After the job was completed and we had the first big rain, my new lanai flooded because there were no weep holes. When I called him to come over, he tried to say it was my fault because I had the floor painted. He tried to say he would not take responsibility if he drilled the weep holes. Now the concrete slab is cracked after only 17 months and he is showing the same indifference that he always shows. He had an attitude when I asked for the garbage left by his workers be removed. There were boards with nails sticking out. It took days before someone came. I paid $9,000 for this job which may be chump change to Jeff but I am a widow and this project was so that my family could come and enjoy their visits. I asked Jeff Knapp to give me the name of the construction company and I would deal with them directly but he has ignored my request. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will also contact the Chamber of Commerce and will post a complaint on every site I can find. Dealing with this company is the worst. Every time I hear him on the radio I turn him off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

During the whole project we have been threatened, insulted, harassed, and even blackmailed; he reported us to the city for doing a reno without permit and now he is threatening me to release a video of me, which was illegally recorded. MY pool was a disaster after paying him over $127k (original price was 120k). It is finally fixed but it was a nightmare. He didn't take responsibility for any mistakes; and demands extra payments to fix all his mistakes. The original price we agreed on was $120k; we ended up paying $128 and the pool was completed two months after the agreement. We lost thousands on rental income (summertime) because this is a vacation rental. Among other extras were 6k because he "forgot" to add the travertine deck (already in the plans} and another 1k to fix a sun-shelf he built 2 feet shorter (without my knowledge or approval). He blamed it on me because I signed the plans without noticing he had changed the dimension. He refused to provide contractor/vendor invoices; the actual prices were 3 times less than what he was charging. The plaster was a total disaster (pictures attached). He refused to fix it before paying him the final 5% balance. We finally agreed to pay AT FRONT if he signed a Notice to Cure"; he REFUSED. We asked him to write an addendum with the scope of the work; he REFUSED. He was planing to cut corners by resurfacing the pool instead of removing the existing damaged plaster and installing a new one. He also refused to provide his COI. His contractors also damaged the new grass after we replaced it and he refused to fix it. Also, due to his disability, he will NEVER show at your property to check the quality of the work. Nor he has a PM. He relies on contractors pictures. I had to be supervising the entire project. This is the second pool I built with this company. On my first review I gave him 5 stars. He made some big mistakes but he took responsibility and fixed the problems. Even though I had to share the cost. This time he is cutting corners and hiring new cheaper subcontractors who are not delivering the same quality craftsmanship as the ones he had a couple of years ago. Everything out of his mouth is a lie. He even accused me of saying things I NEVER SAID! He will deny everything; but I have everything documented. At some point i was under such stress I had to step aside and let my husband dealing with him. It went well for a while but he ended up receiving the same insults I did. Please do your research
