He constantly bragged to EVERYONE about how he was going to win my sexual assault case and he LOST it. (Why is an attorney bragging to anyone about a case. Hasn't he heard of lawyer-client confidentiality?) Not only did he lose my case, he almost got himself disbarred. The judge sanctioned him multiple times because he didn't know how to follow the simplest of instructions. And his actions caused the opposing attorneys to ARREST me in order to discredit me and McGovern charged me for the criminal defense attorney he had to provide. McGovern should have sued the other attorney for getting me arrested because she used her husband's connections and my confidential medical records to have me arrested. I did nothing wrong. The thing I got arrested for was a bureaucratic error involving a medicine prescription. Finally, McGovern accepted my case on contingency, but he racked up over $100K in expenses while working on my case. When he lost, he manipulated me into selling my house (which had recently caught on fire and was uninhabitable) so that he could collect and recoup some of the money he had spent on my case. If my house hadn't caught on fire, he would not have collected anything. If you have a matter that you need an attorney for, please RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS MAN!!!
