    Modern Event Productions

Very pleased with the level of professional service modern events has to offer…read more After experiencing terrible weather the other day, the power went down at the events hall we were having an engagement party at. It was one of those worse case situations and I was at a loss for what to do. As guests began to arrive, we all sat in the dark worrying that the lights and music would never be able to turn on. It was a nightmare. The Hall had no answers for us and just basically told us we would have to wait and see what would happen. I decided to take matters into my own hands and try and find someone that would help. Let me tell you that after just speaking with the gentlemen at modern events productions for 5minutes on the phone, he told me don't worry, we will do whatever we can do to help you out. Fast forward 5 more minutes, he called me back stating that he found wireless lights and sound systems that would be perfect for getting our party started and someone could bring them to us within the next half hour. Talk about a last minute LIFE SAVER! In the end, the power came back on , but I can not stop but feel blessed to know that there are still people that are willing to drop everything to help people in need. People they dnt know and understand that they are in a tough situation. I would highly recommend modern events productions to anyone looking to do business with good, hard working people who are not afraid of a little challenge. They definitely have all of your future events covered!! Thanks again to these wonderful people!!!

Planning a wedding in 2 months is not what most folks recommend, but we did it anyway. Our wedding…read morewas 10/16/2021, and I found my venue in August. Ferris Steakhouse, Rocky River, OH. See my review of it. Mary Jane Ferris, wedding and event coodinator extrodinaire, sent me to Ferris Steakhouse for a venue. Then she connected me with Brenda, SociallyArtistic for all my flowers and decor. OMG Brenda is unbelievable! She worked with me and completely understood my personal, crazy situation of family etc. My daughter decided the colors for the wedding because she is a busy doctor and hates shopping. Brenda was so understanding and let me wait until my daughter told me the color of the dress she chose before we decided on our pallet. So cool. Socially Artistic delivered all the bouquets and boutonnieres to the church for the ceremony. She was there when we all arrived and pinned the flowers to the men and made sure all the ladies had their bouquets and corsages. It was a little hectic bug Brenda was like a rock in the torrent. I also got a wrist corsage for my mother-in-law. It was exquisite and perfect. My mother-in-law spent a lot of money on her gorgeous dress so I did not want to stick a pin in it. She loved her flowers. In fact, she has not had one word of criticism for the entire wedding and I've been her daughter-in-law for almost a week! I am just getting to the reception. Brenda and her team turned the party room at Ferris Steakhouse into a fairytale scene! Glorious hydrangeas an roses of every pink hue everywhere. And lovely candlelight at multple heights all around the room. There were candlelit flower garlands on the fireplace mantle and over the doorway to the party room. Every table was laden with small and large arrangements. Unbelievably charming!!! There was a topiary on the appetizer table that was magnificent. I told Brenda that I wanted twinkle lights and she delivered! Our reception was magical, thanks to Socially Artistic and Brenda's magic. Now I will tell you how easy Brenda made the whole thing. Really easy. Whether your wedding is in 2 months, or a year or more, call Brenda. You will be so happy you did.

The first time I spoke with her she invited me to meet with her in person and made me feel at ease to choose her as my coordinator. About a month before the wedding, we met again to go over all the final details. She was extremely helpful in polishing up the last minute details, such as how to add some time to the ceremony. Any uncertainty I had, she had a solution, and a good one! She was very responsive to me during those days leading up to the wedding. The wedding was so well put together the day of. She helped coordinate and communicated our bridal party schedules. She was calm and comforting during what could have been a stressful time. She set up all of my décor in a perfect way. Everything was just perfectly coordinated. I highly recommend Brenda for your wedding. Although we didn't hire her for her full planning package, I am certain she would do a fabulous job on that as well. Thanks again Brenda for everything you did to make sure our wedding was perfection!

I am not a member of this club, but I was asked to come to dinner with two members of this club. I don't know what the membership includes, but I would certainly never pay a membership fee to eat here. Service was lousy, and they weren't very busy. It took us about 20 minutes to get menus and another 20 minutes for our orders to be taken after we had made our selection. As a former waitress when I was in college, I know that when your table is looking around and no longer looking at menus, they are ready to order, and a good waitress will notice that and take your order when you are obviously ready to order. No one seem to care here. The entrées we wanted we're not available because they were allegedly sold out, but it was very early in the day so I find that hard to believe. Poor restaurant managing perhaps? When the food arrived, nothing was very good. We all had three different meals but none of us would ever order these meals again here. But then again, I would never eat here again even if a member asked me to come with them. I had heard this place had very good food, but that was not the case when I was here. Not sure if there are new cooks or what the case is, but I would not recommend this place.

After working there for years I'd like to leave an honest review for everyone from someone who…read moreknows all the insides and outs. The skates aren't bad, sure there's some minor wear on a decent few, but they are constantly being repaired and the company has also recently replaced half their stock. If you do honestly have any issues with the skates, you can go back to the counter at any time and request a new pair. Same with if you have any issues with personal skates your brought, typically the staff will try their best to help you fix your skates. It should be known however that sometimes they can't as not all of them carry their own personal tools after they got stolen numerous times. The food itself isn't bad, not a fan of the pizza but I do recommend the popcorn and when they have it the chicken strips. The drinks aren't really the best and I never agreed with the prices for how small they are, but there is the vending machines that people rarely use. It's only $2-$3 for a bottled drink and it's the best option there drink wise. The skate floor itself I'll give high praise to. There is yearly repairs and polishes, and it's swept and mopped before each day. Music isn't bad, there's a few different DJ's so the music isn't the same every day, and most of them take requests and will play the music as long as they have it and it's appropriate for the crowd. It should be known however that they don't stream off the internet, so they don't have unlimited options, if they say they don't have it, they genuinely don't have it, they aren't just trying to make you go away. The staff as a whole is pretty good. The floor guards are some of the nicest people as long as you just follow the rules, many negative reviews I've seen I was there for, and those people tend to conveniently leave out the numerous rules they were breaking. The rules themselves are posted in multiple locations and essentially all you have to do is not cause issues for everyone else. The management could be better. There is times that there's issues that they don't really put effort into fixing, but if you talk with other staff members they'll usually do better than them. Management usually only gets involved for bigger issues such as fights, but they do keep a cop on duty for the busy sessions so you don't have to worry about any fights. Parties are reasonably priced and I do highly recommend the private ones if you're doing 20+ guests. You'll get the entire rink for like 3 hours with music, skates, etc. The public ones aren't bad either but many people seem to underestimate how many people will be there since those happen during public sessions. So if you're doing under 20 guests, public is a good option, but anything over that I'd just pay the extra for a private one, it'll be well worth your money. Only real issue I'd say everyone has to face is the rising entrance fee. The head management keeps raising it for inflation, and honestly to some extent it feels unnecessary with some of the price increases. My best advice is check the hours online so you're getting your moneys worth. Tons of people will pay to get in, but they complain about the price after they chose to show up with only 45 minutes left in a skate session. $10 isn't the most unreasonable price when you are getting the full 3+ hours, just plan accordingly. Overall I'd rate the place at a 3.8 to 4. Prices can be steep but if you plan ahead then you'll be fine. Just actually follow the rules that are for everyone's safety and you'll have no issues.
