We took our dog for their puppy Einstein class as well and we really benefited from it. A wonderful place full of wonderful people that really care. In fact, after we moved, we had some behavioral issues pop up that we didn't really know how to handle, so we send an email over to Heather (the owner) and she gave us some great tips and since she knew our dog, it was more personalized. He was with them a week and then on the second week I had a 2 hour training session with Ace & Makayla. Wow, I could hardly believe how much he had improved! 3rd week I had another training session - they needed to train ME to do the correct things. After I picked him up at the end of week 3 he was so much improved. He knew "place, off, heel, sit, down, stay, come, etc. He still needed reinforcement as he is high energy & needs to have his reset button pushed. Since then Ace has gone to "Beyond Daycare" at Barks & Rec. I try to get him in twice a week. I call it B&C. It's more than just playing with other dogs. It's structured with training & they work on his basic commands. Recently he wasn't able to go for almost 2 weeks due to circumstances beyond our control. He went back yesterday & one of the employees, Rachel; said he had a wonderful time & was the bestest boy! I know he missed being there! If you have a high energy dog, consider checking into Barks & Rec Beyond Daycare - I hesitate to give this glowing review only because their spots are limited & I might not to get my boy in if their Beyond Daycare fills up!!

This "obedience" school was a complete waste of time and more so, our money. It took a week for us to finally get them to write us daily progress reports (they normally don't give them until the end we were told! REALLY?!) Now we know why. Our dogs got worse after the classes, and none of what we asked for was at all accomplished! All we heard was, "they had so much fun interacting with other dogs, and playing, and running on the treadmill." We never asked for them to be trained on a damn treadmill and to play with other dogs. I came in one morning and found a dog UNATTENDED and leashed on the tread mill! If it had fallen there's no telling how bad it would have been hurt!! The excuse was it was one of the staff's dogs. So that makes it ok to leave it unattended?! Good thing it wasn't one of mine! One afternoon I had to take them home WET in the car because they were in the pool. No one bothered to dry them, so our car got all wet. We live on a lake. We didn't send our dogs to an expensive obedience school to play with other dogs and in a freakin' pool!They are full of excuses and justifications why our dogs are now WORSE when they get home than when they went. This is NOT an obedience school. This is a scam to take your money, placate and patronize you about how well your dog is learning. They want us to use shock collars with big dangerous probes tights against their necks because they can't do their jobs and train them. Now they don't come when they're called, won't get down when they jump up, won't stop dragging you on their leashes, and don't hardly even remember their names when we call them anymore. They were far more obedient before we sent them to this high priced (dis)obedience school. We paid for them to play everyday for two weeks!Hope I'm not too vague, but I am really pissed off to be taken advantage off by these unqualified scammers!

There aren't many 1-vet clinics that would do that, especially when the error was my fault I'm sure. Just when I thought I could not love Dr. Margaret and her staff anymore, they prove me wrong. People ask me why I drive 90 minutes for a vet. Beyond the fact they are very knowledgeable, professional and caring, they are like family! Thank you once again for what you do for my dogs! I cannot believe how little Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital cares about animals…read more My 8-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy was seriously ill -- severe diarrhea, and his injured leg was completely non-weight-bearing. He was struggling to walk, and I was rushed and worried, doing my best to get him safely from his cage into the car. And let me be clear: it is not easy to lift and move an 80-pound injured puppy from a cage into a vehicle without causing more pain. That alone took time and care, but I still managed to get him there. When I arrived, I parked in the closest spot I saw in my panic, only to realize the entrance was down the hill. Even with all of that, I still walked in just two minutes past their "10-minute grace period." I understand having policies -- but where is the grace when it comes to a sick, injured puppy? Instead of compassion, Oakwood coldly turned him away. No flexibility. No care. Nothing. I then had to carry my 80-pound Great Pyrenees puppy back up the hill, in obvious pain, because they refused to let him see a veterinarian. What makes this even worse is that when we first set up this appointment, Oakwood specifically told us we wouldn't need to treat this as an urgent care or emergency visit unless it got worse. That assurance is the only reason we trusted them and went forward with the appointment. And when it mattered most, they abandoned us over a matter of two minutes. This is supposed to be an animal hospital. A true animal hospital would prioritize the health of animals over the clock. Oakwood has shown the opposite: their rules and image matter more than compassion, or the lives of the pets entrusted to them. If you love your animals, think twice before coming here. Oakwood Animal Hospital has proven to me -- painfully -- that they do not care about animals. And Oakwood -- please do not attempt to "reach out" to make this right. I have no interest in further communication with your clinic.

Their supply for rocks & conditioner was very limited & only had 1 brand that I've never heard of so I purchased them. The rock instructions mentioned to soak them for 48 hours but out of all my years of having a fish I've never had a problem with inserting rocks with water conditioner. However I'm very disappointed in this place for even selling this type of fish rocks... They are filled with chlorine & killed my fish within an hour of placing him in his newly cleaned tank. What Fish Store Sells Chlorine Covered Rocks???? They also didn't have any automatic fish feeders except for 1 that was way over priced. Very disappointed in this locally owned store.
