My wife, my toddler, my sister-in-law, and I all stopped into the Blueberry Tearoom for lunch. Everything was great. They greeted my son with toys for him to play with, which was very nice, and were all around great with him. Service was very good in every other respect, too. I got their panini with chicken and bbq sauce. It was a good sandwich. Often, when you get cut up chicken on a sandwich, the chicken is very dry. Theirs wasn't. It was as moist as you'd expect from any well prepared whole chicken breast. We got baked goods to go. My wife got their famous (it's mentioned in at least a couple of travel guides) steamed chocolate pudding, which didn't disappoint. Smooth, rich, decadent. I went a different route, and after the person two people ahead of us ordered the last of my first choice dessert, I ordered the Biscoff rocky road bar. I'm so glad I did. While it may be a simple-ish dessert, I'd never actually tried one before, and it's entered my top tier of foods I like. But, since having it there, I've ordered it every place else I've been that sells it, which has been about five places (and I've started reviewing recipes to make at home), and while all the others have been good, none have executed it as well as Blueberry Tearoom. It's not fancy or anything, but if you're looking for a casual bite to eat, some baked goods, or maybe a cup of tea, they do everything you're looking for as well as anyone.

Loved it. Great atmosphere, great service, outstanding food. I had the tiny breakfast which wasn't tiny. Eggs, potatoes and bacon. I also had a scone (fresh from the oven) and toast. one of us had the French toast and another the Bap. All were satisfied.

Stopped in for breakfast based off of Yelp reviews. We were NOT disappointed. I had the avocado toast that included a salad. It was DELICIOUS! My husband had a fruit scone and my son had the pancakes with strawberries and blueberries. Each meal was fantastic. My eggs were perfectly cooked and the salad accompanying the toast was so refreshing. My son LOVED his pancakes and the fruit was so fresh and tasty. The ambiance is fun with clocks all over the walls and wallpaper with teacups. The staff was quite lovely and attentive. Make this a stop on your visit. Oh the tea was amazing too!

Fabulous little restaurant in Donegal Town, steps from the Castle and in the middle of the action. Had potato leek soup, rich and temperature hot, with chunks of potato and leek. Brown bread is served on the side. Together a full lunch. They offer a half club sandwich with fries, perfect for a 12 yr old. The rigatoni special with bacon and asparagus was rich and delicious. Can't go wrong here.

We discovered this lovely cafe on yelp and I have to say we had such a great experience! The owner welcomed us with a warm Irish smile and we immediately felt like family! It has a great atmosphere and it's always packed, which adds to the energy of this wonderful restaurant! I highly recommend this to anyone coming to Donegal!

Walked by one day and said "This looks cute. I'm going there tomorrow for breakfast." So I did. ;) I stopped in for just a take away coffee and went on to tour the Castle that is just around the corner. And then I came back an hour later for a scone and they sweetly remembered me. The Blueberry has both sit down and take away - it is actually the most coffee-shop-like coffee shop I've seen yet in Ireland. My parent's eventually joined me and my mom had a piece of apple pie and my dad enjoyed an Americano. Everything was really good and the service was friendly.

We got the fish cakes and Caesar salad for apps and the seafood pie and Chicken Eirann for entrees. Everything was done perfectly from the pleasantly surprising mango curry sauce with the fish cakes to the savory and delightful sauce on the chicken Eirann. Normally I avoid chicken dishes because they can be kinda boring but the server and some Yelp pictures steered me towards the chicken Eirann and I'm so glad because it was amazing. My husband really enjoyed the fish pie with a Smithwicks to wash it down.

They don't really have a hostess, so it was awkward putting our name in, one of the waitresses acknowledged us and we waited by the front door. We were seated after 10 minutes and we ordered drinks and food. We assumed they would be trying to close after 9 as soon as they could, but it took a good 30 minutes to get our food. 2 of us had fish and chips, the other a bacon cheeseburger. The fish was very crispy, it tasted good, although I could not detect the freshness of the fish compared to the other places in Ireland. Turns out I like mushy peas, tastes just like split pea soup. The bacon cheeseburger was excellent. The menu closely resembled the menu from Quay west about 2 doors down, so I would avoid steaks and pastas. It took a while to get my second drink, and then a good 20 minutes before we could pay our bill. So it took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to have a pretty basic meal. Seating is upstairs and downstairs with a solid nautical theme throughout.
