If you have an hour to kill in this beautiful little town, you do not want to miss this place. Every item in their bakery shelf looks amazing, and like someone's grandmother made it at four in the morning! Also, the coffee is extraordinary. No idea where in the world they're getting their beans, but the cappuccino is world class. Friendly, kind service in the face of a deluge from our cruise ship.

A full Irish breakfast and then a sandwich to go for lunch. Delicious. And life is good.

Fantastic coffee and espresso and solid selections from the bakery case in a great spot to get out of the rain.

Excellent coffee and granola!! The quiche wasn't the best but the mini breakfast was perfectly portioned.

Expect plentiful seating and table service. Most of our party of six ordered fish and chips. Two others ordered burgers and chips. Everything arrived hot and fresh. The fish looked huge and the chips were abundant. Unfortunately, as the hungry souls started to down their portions, they noticed that the batter didn't seem to be thoroughly cooked, or the fish contributed to the soft coating. The chips, however, were perfect! I chose the 6 oz burger with slaw and iceberg lettuce and no pink sauce (ketchup and mayo combined) and curry chips. The curry sauce brought a nice heat. The burger was pretty plain, even with the slaw and toasted sesame bun. I dressed it up with ketchup. They didn't have any mustard. Our server was friendly and helpful at the beginning, but she never stopped by again. Someone else delivered the meals and we didn't see her again. Maybe this is how service works in Ireland? Disappointing. But, maybe we caught them at a bad time and our party of six was too difficult to manage. We will never know.

I had a hankering for some chowder or some fish n chips. We saw a plate of fish and chips being brought to the table behind us and boy, was it big. About 12 euros and we decided to split it (even that was probably enough for 3 people). Friendly staff and great food

Fresh and healthy superfood salads, juices, dairy free sweet treats, daily hot specials, 3fe coffee and teas - all offered with dairy free milk options. I had the superfood salad of massaged kale, chickpeas, and spiced cous cous (with cranberries, pomegranate and pesto) for lunch. For €7.50 it filled me up for the day and is far more exciting then the dull packaged leaves and uninspiring dash of olive oil salads you get in other establishments. These salads ARE the dish, not just a bit of green on the side - they demand your attention and don't disappoint on taste! Less than a 5 minute stroll from O'Connell St, in the summer it'd be lovely to get a salad to go at lunch time and eat it along the riverside. I imagine the menu will expand as the business does, as chef-cum-proprietor Carolanne is Ballymaloe trained and well travelled! They maintain an active social media presence @sweetbeatsligo and already have a loyal following of customers - including me! Watch this space, as it expands into something brilliant, its thrilling to see young businesses like this bringing the heart back into Sligo town.
