Finally got to stop by after watching Facebook for a year and moving to Florida. We came in on a time crunch and the the ladies were very friendly. We browsed briefly and they let us make an ornament. I was thrilled as I had never made one. I will be sure to allow more time next time we are in Virginia.

I was excited to see they carried Everyday Explorers stickers and stamps. They also carry greeting cards, stickers, Travelers Notebook products, stamps, a few fountain pens, and inks, washi tape, Field Notes notebooks, and many other items. If you're a stationery fan and local to the area, I'd recommend giving this shop a visit.

Along Georgetown's commercial Wisconsin Avenue NW is the city's go-to local paper goods shop. After…read moreworking in media, the owner achieved his lifelong dream of opening a stationary store. Here's why you should visit: 1) Goods: Unlike other stores that have a paper section but expand into other home products, Duly Noted doesn't stray far from their mission. They sell journals, planners, greetings cards, stickers and more. They have a few goods outside of paper products like mugs and a few local food items, but the majority of the store focuses on paper products. A few standouts: Letterpress cards. The owner sources it from local and regional companies. Appointed journals. This D.C.-based, woman-owned company uses Duly Noted as a drop location for their custom journals and planners. 2) Price: Compared to other shops, the prices aren't bad. A quality, local greeting card is around $5. 3) Location: It's next to a large Compass Coffee and many other shops are nearby along Wisconsin Avenue and M Street NW. 4) Space: It's in an inviting space and the products are organized well. It's a full shop but doesn't feel cluttered or overwhelming. 5) Passion: The owner is passionate about paper goods, attentive and answers any questions you may have. 6) Safety: Masks are required and a small table greets you when you walk in with hand sanitizer and extra masks.

This Walmart annoys me for several reasons. First, the personal shoppers are ALWAYS…read moreunapologetically in the way. They'll park their cart in the middle of everything or cut right in front of you. They couldn't care less. Customers in the store are absolutely last. Second, it ALWAYS takes forever to check out. The stupid self-checkout lines are always packed, and despite having a long row of registers, at best only one or two will be open and it will be manned by a geriatric or autistic person who functions only in slow motion. Carts are often broken, and usually disgusting. The store manger always walks around, never wearing anything identifying himself as the manger, and never helping anyone. Pushy gypsies will often approach shoppers and store management does nothing to stop the harassment. Parking lot security is poor, as demonstrated by the fact a guy towing a boat ripped of the bumper of my less than one week old car and Walmart said they had zero footage despite camera everywhere. As usual - customers last. BUT, the shelves tend to be well stocked and there is a better selection than other Walmarts. The pharmacy is the gem in this building with competent and helpful employees, though the hour long break in the middle of the day rather than staggering lunch times between employees to keep customers moving seems dumb.

If you're going to lock something up, at least have the decency to have an employee in that location readily available to 'help'! I can't stress enough how poorly managed and staffed Walmart is - every.single.location. Their 'rollback' pricing is a joke and so false - I've purchased enough items over the years to know exactly how much something is and when they claim 'rollback' they're just plain out lying. Unfortunately in order to stretch my food budget, I'm stuck with them. No other place is affordable for this family.
