STAY AWAY FROM THIS PAWN SHOP - THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN AND THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW BETTER. My wife recently visited this pawn shop and dealt directly with the owner -- a lowlife scammer who preys on people, especially women. She brought in two solid 18k gold rings, each valued at over $400, with a combined value of more than $800. She only needed a small loan of $200. Life got busy, and she was just one day late on a renewal payment. She even called, asking -- practically begging -- to either extend the loan or pay it off in full to retrieve her rings. But by then, the price of gold had climbed, and now her rings are worth over $1,000. There was no way this greedy owner was going to let her get them back. But here's the real issue: even at the time of the transaction, one of the rings alone was worth more than $400 -- more than enough to cover the $200 loan. A decent, honest person would have told her that one ring was enough. Instead, this scumbag knowingly took both rings, fully aware he was taking advantage of her. When I called to confront him and asked why he didn't speak up and tell my wife she didn't need to pawn both rings, his response was simply, "I don't do that." Shaking my head -- that alone proves this man is a lowlife and an indecent human being who has no problem preying on others for a quick buck. Stay far away from this place. Unfortunately recentlyI bought a Milwaukee rotary drill some months back and haven't touched it until I needed it on a job today, turns out it doesn't even work. I bought a gun that had firing issues. I asked while in process of sale, "Can I bring it backfor refund if it has any issues?: "YES" Was the salesman's reply. So 35 mins after buying the gun I shot the gun, had serious issues. I called them immediately, they said "Okay bring it back so we can see whats going on." So I came back to the store, knowing the gun was not going to miraculously start working properly, I told the owner "I just want to exchange it for something else." He said "HOW MUCH WILL YOU TAKE FOR IT?" I said "WHAT I PAID FOR IT." He said, thats not how it works, we arent giving you what you paid for it " So he gave me a lower amount, didnt refund me the cost for leftover box of bullets either. Im stuck with $40 box of bullets, and he took $40 from me from my refund plus the tax i paid, im out $100 or more dollars. He's a rude thief. He sells broken guns, and when you bring it back he profits on selling you that broken gun, robs you of your own money you paid. Dont buy anything here, you'll be terribly sorry like I am. Theyre very dishonest, its a trap, they sell broken stuff probably over and over because they make a profit when you return it. My friend told me the owner underappraised her jewelry item, , took $1000 from her during a jewelry sale, told her her item was only worth $1000 tops, when she afterward found out it was worth $2k. read more

Its not really a pawn shop so to speak. Its more of a hole in the wall gun shop (packed with guns, hundreds of them) that occasionally sells a DVD or flat screen TV. Its really a gun shop more than anything else. They want over suggested retail on Hi Point, Jimenez, and Cobra firearms. No one pays retail on guns anymore, so they certainly shouldn't be paying OVER retail on guns. It might just be uneducated consumers that waltz in there and pay over $200 for a Hi Point. Crappy used guns (I mean guns that sucked from square 1) are priced high, but they must sell. They had an RG Rohm in 22 Short there for $139 and a Clerke First for about the same money. If you know what you're looking for and know what its worth, you can get a deal there. They worked on the price for me when I went in there to buy a gun. If you plan to dicker on the price, bring cash. Money talks at any and all pawn shops. The guy who owns/runs it isn't exactly Mr. Personality. Most people don't deal with him though, they usually talk to whoever is working with him that day. He's had a couple of assistants over the years that are reasonably knowledgeable. The people working there are safe in the way they handle firearms, not pointing them at people and checking chambers before handing them to customers. Its refreshing to see safety, so they get major brownie points there. Don't try to sell anything to them unless you're prepared to get insulted. I know they're in the business of turning something around and making money on it, but their offers to me were just too low. This shop is out there to pay as little as they can for used guns so they can turn them around and make a hefty profit. Its a good business strategy, as long as you're not the one trying to sell a gun to them. HUGE selection, some weird stuff there for sale. They must have 15 single shot H&R shotguns, easily 10 custom Swedish Masuer rifles, and a dozen .30-30 levers. Lots to pick and chose from. Its worth the stop if you already happen to be in Fredericksburg, but its not worth it if you're traveling a long distance. read more
