I sensed he was struggling to do as I ask but when he started trimming my top, I said something. He tried to justify it by saying he was blending but why does getting hair off my neck and ears require blending my hair on top of my head? He took as much as 2 inches in some areas. I am now stuck trying to keep my short hair out of my face for the next 5 weeks, even with hair product. Despite my last name, I'm not a professional Barber, but I've been getting this head of mine cut for over 67 years and know when I'm not getting what I ask for. This time the same happened, exept the lady didn't dry it, told me since it was suspected she couldn't cut my hair, and said to wash it with tea tree shampoo and mint, which I already do twice when washing. She was really snappy with her coworker as well. Turns out, it was just dandruff. Also, every single time I have ever gone here, they give me an awful haircut. I show them what I want, and they give me a bowl cut. Every. Single. Time. It's like they aren't even trained to do haircuts. The staff is almost always awful as well, very few are decent. I'm not even trained and I could do something better than this. It isn't even decent.

I have before and after photos as well as what it looks like currently. I found Stephanie through Pulp Riot's site. My appointment was on July 17 (today is October 18). I told her what I wanted and what my budget was and she made it happen. Everyone else was wanting to charge me double or triple what her price was. It's expensive being a mermaid! She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my hair. The photos she took of me afterward were so pretty that I still use one of them as a FB profile pic to this day! I don't know what it's called but she left a tiny bit of my natural hair color at the top and faded the teal into blue into my actual hair color. She told me this would really help when it starts to grow out. HOLY CRAP she was right. This would normally be the time I go throw down a few bills and get my hur did but it looks good the way it is! I will also forever be thankful for her for telling me about celebrity shampoo omg omg omg omg omg. Total game changer for anyone with crazy hair. Came for a simple perm for my husband. We came back for her to do the perm again and fix the issue just for it now to completely fall out after a week. His hair is back to being bone straight. I spoke with a manager and was told I would be refunded to then get a whole $23 back. Never recommending this place or coming again. DO NOT go here for perms, coloring or any chemical treatments. Now we have to find another salon to completely redo his hair and pay all over again.

Lovely atmosphere and amiable staff. But I simply did not get the haircut I requested…read more I went in with medium/long hair asking for a simple trim of an inch off the back and another inch off of the top. I wanted maintenance and the bangs out of my eyes. But, I left with a totally different drastically shorter hairstyle that I didn't request. I even specifically told the stylist not to cut the sides since the stiffness of my hair causes it to stick out unless it's long enough to comb back. As you can see from the pic - the sides were cut and now stick-out. The pic also shows that the back is also awkwardly squared-off. So, I'm forced to find another stylist to fix what was done (which will sadly cause me to have an even shorter cut). I estimate it will take 3-4 months to grow back the damage done. My guess is that if you have very short hair that needs periodic maintenance, or, if you want that luxurious barbershop shave and men's spa vibe. This might be a great spot for you. They also have an entire section for mani/pedis that look super comfortable for dudes. So there's that too. But, I can't say it's a place where you'll get the cut you ask for.
