I slay dragons and rescue princesses from danger. I fear no evil and I laugh in the face of danger. But, if I was honest with you all, I would tell you that I was very nervous and anxious about having this procedure done. I put it off and suffered for three months and tried to make myself believe that if I just wished upon a falling star that eventually it would just would be all better. That falling star stuff is all B.S. In case you mother never filled you in on that. Anyways, my fears were for nothing. Thanks to Dr. Selden and a little thing I learned about called Nitrous Oxide. Wish I would have learned about this earlier in life. Life lesson #342 Anyways, I would highly recommend Dr. Selden and his staff. PS. There are no pics attached to this review. However, when my daughter was in pain and needed a root canal Dr. Seldan had retired. I remembered Dr. Mize had been my original referral, so I called him. They got her right in and took such wonderful care of her! She has some learning disabilities, so I don't trust her care to simply anyone! He was SO tender and caring, she simply loved him, the office and ALL his staff! His staff is friendly, and EXTREMELY efficient, which; lets just be honest, it's hard to find these days! So I said ok. A week later, it didn't hurt but the x-ray showed the truth. He started the root canal right then. It was planned from the prior week. While it presented challenges, he completed it quickly. The staff gave me precise instructions both verbal & written. I appreciated the written because.... I forgot. There is a reason why they require you to pre-authorize and sign off on the CT scan, x-rays, and treatment-prior to treatment is because techs WILL do the CT scan and multiple x-rays BEFORE you see the doctor (whether or not it is needed). It will be done as a first step prior to seeing the endodontist and prior to receiving a diagnosis or discussing it with the doctor. Originally, I thought it would be $125 for an exam. Amber called on my way to the appointment and said Exam $70 X-ray pa $21 x bc 2 Pulp $84-Nerve test CT scan-$200-Fractures to roots or not $354 total WORST CASE SCENARIO (And it will be the worst case) So, how do you prevent this??? One, you could ask to see doctor prior to ct scan. Save $200. You will need to be strong. You could ask to wait on the ct scan until after you see the doctor if it's needed. Good news-he did a cold test and believes no root canal is needed. So, in this manner he was honest.

It was on my Dental Insurance...yea! Unfortunately, I'd just had a cleaning at my former dentist. So it would be awhile before I saw them. But stuff happens. A new implant's plug that covers the screw fell out. Argh! So, I called Muzny & they were very nice. Got me in quickly. The office is very nice. The people are personable & open. I was seen quickly. I like that a lot. My issue was checked & the solution shown to me. I was happy with it. Just a note: you pay for what you get. I was in & out in 30 min! I'm looking forward to my first real appointment. I'm expecting great results based on the superb handling of this emergency. I definitely picked the right dentist!! *********** Update: I had recommended Muzny's practice to a close friend. However, in spite of them checking her insurance, they set an appointment before she was due. My friends first clue was a bill from the practice. Even though Muzny made the mistake, its my friend who has to pay. This does not define a professional practice to me.
