3 weeks ago my property/home was damaged due to a insured driver of BlueFire running though my homes security wall. A claim was opened and it took MINIMUM 6 phone calls to get the adjuster. Was given the "we're getting the police report" stall/excuse, even though the driver already admitted fault and in my state, police reports are made available almost immediately. 3 weeks have passed, I've called no less than 15 times and sent 6 emails. Each email contained photos of the damage, the police report, and a licensed contractors estimate for repair. BlueFire has ignored all communication and has not given a simple counter-offer or adjuster estimate of repair. I will give them one more week (30 days since incident), then be filing a DOI with the State Insurance Board and unfortunately, civilly suing the driver. Bluelight lives up to every single review they have. Ignored calls, run-around responses, no direct valuation, no direct acceptance of at-fault accidents, complete unprofessionalism. I canceled my policy to go with another company that provided a more competitive rate for more coverage. When speaking to the rep on the phone, I requested that a refund be issued via ETF given they had my account info. He submitted the request yet when I followed up 8 days later, I was told the only way I could receive a refund was to be issued a check which would be mailed out within 3 weeks. Not only that, I was told that I was charged a cancellation fee. I do not consent to having my money withheld from me for nearly a month when I am no longer receiving service let alone being punished for choosing to go with another provider. As a consumer, it is my choice to determine what company I will transact with for goods and services in exchange for my hard-earned money. I will not be charged a fee for choosing to opt out of service. After spending over an hour on the phone during the follow up call, I was left with no other option than to dispute the transaction with my bank. My time is valuable. I got nowhere with my hour of time after being transferred to two other reps who refused to transfer to me anyone of higher authority. I do not spend my time in vain with nothing to show for it, so now I am taking a little extra time to share my experience regarding the lack of care provided to me by a company that I gave nearly $2,000 of my hard-earned money to. It literally took them 65 days to approve repairs and I still have parts that were not fixed because they wanted to pick and choose what they felt like. I was struck at a red light by a Bluefire customer and getting hit by a Bluefire customer is like getting hit by someone with no insurance at all. I deeply regret going through Bluefire and not my own insurance and let them deal with Bluefire. The adjuster Carmeilya never returns calls I had to go to her supervisor Douglas to get any action at all. Horrible, Had them for 5 years on auto-pay so no issues with payment. I moved and notified them that I moved. They asked me if they could put me on a recorded line about the accident. I said yes. One of the questions they asked me was if I had anyone living with me. I told them my in-laws live with me. The have there own cars with there own insurance and they we not in the car when the accident took place. They said that the was a clause on page 5 of a 35 page document that states "if anybody over the age of 14 lives in your house you have to notify them". So they are denying my claim. This was a sentence in a 35 page documents that I signed 5 years ago. I hired an attorney and he was doing some research and they are in a class action law suit for doing the exact same things to other people. I made the mistake of try to save money and use them due to the fact of some major health issues and cancer. When I got setup with bluefire it was great easy process, till about six months later when a horrible storm came through and unfortunately my vehicle was hit with a major hail and debris. I made a claim and spoke with the person that took the claim and three days later all hell broke lose. they sent out the adjuster he looked at my truck and was like wow this truck was immaculate before the storm he was shocked at how well my interior was and the fact that my truck only had 29,000 miles for being a 2021 model Got my truck to the body shop a week later they sent the actual price that it was gonna take to repair my truck and all of a sudden the adjuster Cordell that came out and said my truck was trash. It was disgusting and to total my truck out because my truck before the storm was only worth $13,000. My in fact was worth twice that amount I paid $65,000 for my truck brand new with 12 miles on it I drive my truck less than 5000 miles a year. And then all of a sudden he wanted to total my truck out because he didn't wanna pay $17,000 in repairs. Where it gets really good is they tried sending a tow truck to the body shop to take my truck without my permission with all my belongings in it. I spent a full month arguing with three different people with blue fire before they finally agreed to fix my truck by this time two months had already gone by. It took almost 6 months for them to cut a check to the body shop and repair my truck they are crooks. They treated me like I was trash they tried taking advantage of me and my health issues and that I ask questions several times because I was in a coma also and sometimes it takes a few times for something to make sense. After paying $200 in brokerage fees just to get this miniscule insurance plan, I have always received less than mediocre customer service. The adjuster that claimed was over my case has been out for two weeks. Just to speak to Dustin the supervisor over the adjusters. Each time I talked to him he would be so rude and yell at me. I was told he has no boss over him, that I could inform. At the end he said it was my fault and would not take liability. The police report states the truck driver was at fault. He was going out of an entrance area taking both sides did not yield and hit the passenger side of my car. I can't open my front door. It will cost over 9,000 dollars to fix. We just filed a claim with this insurance company. They give out fraudulent phone numbers to claim adjusters. They hide behind protocol to escalate to a supervisor to address and follow up with the status of a claim. Adjusters do not call back with customers nor they are very aware of the policy declarations. Instead of asking the insurance adjusters to come out to assess the vehicle, they ask their customers to take pictures and send them pictures. They claim they cannot reach their insured for a statement, they shouldn't even need their statement since there was a police incident report stating both parties agreed their insured was at fault. I spoke to their insured personally and they are 100% willing to cooperate. We both tried calling blue fire the same day next to each other but the adjuster could not be reached. They are a scam. If you are insured by them cancel the policy now. If you were struck by one of their insured, go through your own insurance and have them subrogate blue fire. They took 2 weeks to get my car off my driveway to a shop for an appraisal. They tried to use aftermarket parts on a car to be able to repair it. Since I knew the shop well, I told them to make sure they don't use aftermarket parts, or it should be totaled. 2 weeks later the finally said it too much to repair. Like I said in the beginning. Now I've had to pay out of packet for a car rental for this time. They took another month to send me a check for only 1/2 of the amount till they received the title by mail.
