Most of the staff at Nanny's have worked there for over 5 years and some have made it their career. What is really special is the facility as well as the staff. With their very own cafeteria it teaches children to line up and prepares them for how they will have to behave when it is time for them to go to school. They have plenty of extracurricular activities to keep the children busy and even offer swim lessons across the road at the Ft. Sanders gym complex. This was great for us since we didn't really know where to send our boys for swim lessons. The teachers go with the children so we know they are safe and they get to learn valuable things like swimming, soccer, gymnastics, music, and ballet. They were also rated #1 for daycare facilities in Knoxville. How great is that. So if you are thinking of where to go for daycare and you have not made up your mind or you are just starting the journey, go take a tour of the facility. You will not be disappointed.

They do pick up from about 5 or 6 schools around West Knoxville and my daughters happened to go to one of those so that is very convenient. They have a specifically labeled bus. They also have a pretty cool summer program for kindergarteners and above filled with field trips and educational items. It is conveniently located and off the street of Kingston Pike in the Farragut area so anyone in West Knoxville will be happy. I definitely recommend this to any parent looking for a place but I know they are rarely free and always filled up which I suppose is a good thing. Kids won't stop and neither will this staff. The head director is pretty involved and asks me what we are doing daily and I know you don't always get that from staff at a childcare location. Highly recommend

My son has attended Kindercare Learning Center Cedar Bluff for 2 years now and it was his very…read morefirst daycare he attended since he was an infant in the infant room and now he is an healthy 3 year old little boy. At first I loved the center but the last few months have changed at this location in management and center wise. I have had my child come home with several bite marks where it broke skin and management has not done anything about it. I also personally saw while dropping off and picking up my child from childcare that cellphone usage has become the number one priority in the center some of the teachers are more on their phones than watching the children. Just recently I have witnessed picking my child up early from child care that a teacher left a 3 year old little girl from my Child's class outside by herself for 10 minutes with no supervision at all and the teacher was already in the classroom not knowing where the child was or even that she was outside by herself. As a parent I see that it is irresponsible and if you can't watch children and make sure they are safe then they shouldn't be teachers watching children. I did mention it to the management team in their office when I was leaving with my child. When I went to drop off my child at daycare the next day I noticed the teacher was still working at the location, as a parent if a child is left outside with no adult supervision I feel the teacher should not be working there anymore and also there are times when management is not even there at the school and leaving other teachers in charge to take their place that has no idea what is going on in the center. I feel like it makes parents specially myself as a parent to think twice about having or leaving their children in childcare again. As a parent we should always feel that our children are safe and being well taken care of while in childcare considering we pay lots of money to have them in the centers. I feel like this childcare center really needs to be looked into and things need to change at this child care center before somebody seriously gets hurt and I don't want to see that happen to any child at all.

I've had the good fortune of getting to know a couple of them personally and I have found them to be some of the most upstanding people I've met since I've moved to Knoxville. The facilities are clean, the kids have a structured routine of daily activities geared towards their specific age group (each age group is separated into their own rooms), and they get plenty of time to run around outside (or in the gym if it's cold/rainy). They offer a weekly Music 'n' Motion class you can sign your child up for and they often have parties for the kids to celebrate birthdays or the holidays. They also recently participated in the Fantasy of Trees parade down at the convention center. My only complaint is that the daily reports communicating to the parent(s) what their child did and how they behaved is a little inconsistent. However, the teachers are always willing to talk to you personally about how your child is doing. All in all, I'm thankful to have found such a great place for my son to be while I work and go to school.

This is the only facility with hydro rider- a spin class in the pool. It fills up fast, so call and reserve a bike, and bring your own towel. Cansler is a great facility and the Y staff is very friendly. On my visits, it was not as crowded as my usual Y and parking was not a problem. It's a shared lot with O'Connor Senior Center and there's an overflow lot across Jessamine. Just remember to bring your towel as they don't have towels. I highly recommend Cansler if you are looking for a fitness canter
