Green Tree is an antique shop and tea room in a historic district of Lexington that offers a noon luncheon Wednesday through Saturday. On the day we visited, they were packed with parties of all sizes from duos to a group of 13. Everyone has the same menu which changes each month and is published on their website. The tables were covered in crisp linens and accented with fresh flowers and pretty flatware and dishes. For $19.95, you get a soup, a homemade scone, a specialty entree (petite portion), finger sandwiches, and sweets. And, there's a seasonal, hot tea. May's menu started with a delicious, cold strawberry soup. It was like strawberries and cream in a bowl. Next was a fresh from the oven, cream scone with lemon curd and Lafayette cream. I had high expectations for the asparagus crepe with moray sauce after thirst two dishes. Sadly, the crepe contained room temperature rice and veg. The moray was excellent but the entree would have been better warm. The finger sandwiches served in a buffet included shrimp toast, cucumber rounds, and egg salad sandwiches. All were delicious. The desserts - dark chocolate mousse, strawberry wafer cookies, and mini coconut cupcakes were a terrific finale.

Everything was well organized, reasonably priced, and just so much fun. The selection is honeslty a bit difficult to describe but truly contained such a variety of items, from specialty origami papers to fun matchboxes, decor, and various trinkets. One thing that stood out though was their incredible boom selection. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would likely return, not only for gifts but to get myself a few items.

Sqecial Media is a popular store located right off U.K. campus. First, you must call to set up an appointment to shop. The store is small so they only allow a certain amount of people inside. They have different hours as well. Upon entering, they require a face mask and hand sanitizer before browsing the store. The location is literally right off campus. Parking can be annoying in this area. There is street parking in front or a small parking lot behind the store. Keep this in mind when visiting. There are a couple of other businesses located in the same building: a Korean restaurant (delicious) and a music store downstairs. If you're looking for a fun and unique store, definitely visit!

I ended up impulse buying tons of Coke and Pepsi products from other countries and ended up spending up to $40! I think it was well worth it since I probably will never see the flavors of Coke or Pepsi that they have in other countries, unless they decide to release them in the U.S. Few issues I found (which I find in a lot of stores) are half drunk beverage cups with straws just left on shelves, items that are in the wrong aisle, and price labels not under the right product. I tried my best to do what I could with putting certain items where I saw the same of that item, but this is inexcusable. When associates restock shelves, do they ever quality assurance the store? I think it would be a good idea. But since this store had what I was looking for and new things, I will not review too harshly.

There was also a room which was clearly the "rare" books all enclosed in glass, so if you're looking for that sort of thing, this would be a good stop. Gentleman inside was very nice and chatted a bit about their book selection, gave me a solid price on one of their unpriced new arrivals.
