We asked if we wanted to try the shay butter they import from Ghana. The butter made my hands super slippery as I don't use creams as my skin is naturally awesome. He then said he has black soap. So my mind went to charcoal soap. Of course I was interested. He explained he makes his own black soap with essential oils and shay butter. The soap be stated lasts 2 months a bar approximately. We bought 2 soaps and are excited to try it. He even demonstrated the lather he got from a small amount of wiping soap on his hand.

They are all unscented. I really like the Shea butter I got, very moisturizing. The only minor issue I had was I felt really uncomfortable in the shop, like the girl working behind the counter didn't want us there. IDK, maybe I am wrong and she is just shy and prefers talking to her people (who were already in the store). It was so weird I left as my mom was buying other stuff as I just felt so umcomfy, like she didn't want to make small talk with us or anything even though we tried. Haley, Dani, and Whitney were also very helpful; the entire staff were patient with us. There are so many scents to choose from on the perfume organ. At the end of our time, they bottled our fragrance in the container of our choice; upgrades to fancy bottles are available. We received a complimentary fragrance of our choice and a few other goodies in a gift bag. They also have many local and specialty items for sale. Although I now hate the fragrance I built (LOL), I would definitely try again! The only "con" I have is the fact that it's located on King Street where parking can be difficult to find.

They differentiated well to make sure everyone had what they needed. After, blending our scents we were able to bottle and name them. We went through and smelled pretty much everything in the store and finally narrowed it down. Once instructed on how to mix the scents, she helped fill the diffuser and the refill bottle. The space itself is very cute, with plenty of options to choose from. It is probably $20-$50/per item, but the experience make it so fun. It won't be something I do every week, but it's definitely something everyone could enjoy. They highly recommend appointments, but can accommodate walk-ins if able.
