BMW is an absolute disaster. Of note: - Poor communication - interminable delays - Inability to fix the issue with my car. it was diagnosis by replacement, I. e. keep changing out parts until you are lucky enough to find the issue. - Problem, clutch , ultimately not repaired/resolved. read more

I brought my Audi TT in for a timing chain replacement. The car was at the shop for 2 weeks and only one call to keep me updated. Every time I called I was told the parts would be in the next day. I understand the difficulty of getting the parts but keeping the customer informed would be nice. Once the work was finally completed I picked up my car only to find that the idle was very rough. There was also a clamp that was not put back in place and bungee cord left inside my engine compartment. It drove nice and smooth when it arrived and this was only brought in for maintenance. Being a German repair shop I assumed all German cars could be brought here but the excuse was that these cars need everything to be very precise. Back and forth three times, taking off time from work, and it's still has a rough idle. I am taking it to another shop to see what they can find. Had an appointment,. Had to get a rental car for the day...I though. 5 days later 650.00 in rental fees. They gave me an estimate that was 7 times that of my other two estimates Had I not continued calling to check on it they would have kept it even longer. Unorganized, think they are better than they are,. Rude when I called and after pricing the parts they said I needed, even the most expensive one I found was 4 times less than what they had priced. read more

I'm new in town from FL. I spent $84 on diagnostics and $1610 on repairs/maintenance and my Mini's engine light was on again within a day. They estimated another $1134 repair to replace a camshaft magnet. They indicated that would be a seven hour job?! Feeling discouraged and cannot recommend for repairs. We brought our Mini Cooper in for regular service. They found several expensive issues, but as we were under new car warrantee, were able to get repairs done at dealer for nada. Very good experience. I recently had my Mercedes at the local dealer for three items to repair. Their estimate was off the charts. After taking my car to this company I was highly disappointed. I paid 300 dollars for a oil change and diagnostics for them to decline on performing the work! I went to 3 other dealers and they told me exactly what was wrong and did not even charge me. I did not receive a call back after they told me they would I had to call them back a week later for them to say " oh yea we found out today" do not go here I repeat do not do business with them you will be highly disappointed. I recommend going to NTB or Total auto service. They both are kind they do great work and cost effective. You know a company is way to high when you're waiting in the waiting room and you over hear a customer on the phone asking a breakdown of why the price is so high. I should of ran when I heard that. Was on the schedule to have my car worked on October 28. I called to see if work had been started, was told the guy was out, would be back the next day. Called the next day. Was told he was out due to COVID exposure would be another 2 weeks. Two weeks later, I call, guy still not back but was told he'd be back the next day. This went on for 3 more days. Finally got my car back on November 27. Driving home check engine light came on. Put oil in it myself because it was the weekend, light went out. Had someone look at it who said there was no oil in it. Monday took it back because light had come back on. Blue Ridge said there was oil in it so they looked at it again, did something, light went out. Maybe put oil in it? Then the heat stopped working. Wanted to charge me $300 for the part. Went to another shop who charged me less than $300 for the part and labor. Was given the run around for a month, very frustrating, do not recommend. read more

I asked about Blue Ridge from a few friends of mine locally and they had nothing but good things to report, so I gave them a shot. 20 years in business, specializing in BMW, Audi, etc, had to be a reason for it. I requested they do a brake fluid flush, and they did the job wonderfully, had all the required certifications you want to see t a specialty shop, and the folks were GREAT at customer service. That all mentioned, I should also say they saved me 50 dollars versus the dealership, and saved me a load of time. Additionally they took the time to quote me on some parts I wanted to replace, and I assumed that is where "they are getting me", BUT NOPE! I did my own research online, and their quote on parts was only a few (literally 2-3 dollars) more than the cost online, and that could easily been reduced with shipping considered. They were recommended by my friend who owns an auto repair shop in town. My friends shop wasn't set up to work on European automobiles. I have a 2008 Mini Cooper. With a TBI problem. I asked them to fix that and a few other minor repairs (back hatch won't stay locked, rotted roof antenna, side windows that would not close all the way when you close the door). They did an excellent job at a reasonable price. The second time a year and half later, the check engine light came on. They diagnosed DMTL, minor leak in gas filler cap. Also asked them to check out the whole car again. Valve cover gasket was leaking oil, TPMS front passenger was not working, replaced the serpentine belt, oil change. I knew these problems existed before I took the car in. They did an great job and again price was very fair. Other reviewers complain about the price, they are wrong German automobiles are expensive to maintain and the part prices are outrageous. These guys charge half of what the dealers would charge and they did a great job and they are professional. You buy an expensive car that depreciated to almost nothing, you are going to pay for it through up keep. read more
