I have a new construction home and one of my first projects was networking/cabling. I wanted two Ubiquiti APs (one on each floor), several Ubiquiti PoE security cameras, and two CAT6 drops into bedrooms which the builder didn't add. Starlight Tech was able to take care of all of this and the best part was minimal holes in the drywall. There were some small holes that Mike told me about ahead of time, but they were small enough to be covered by standard wall plates. On the day of the install, Starlight Tech was here on time, worked together to make sure everything was done in a clean and neat manner, and made sure everything was fully up and running before leaving. They even came back on a second occasion because I was still waiting to order a final security camera. I've recommended Starlight Tech to my neighbors and highly recommend them for any networking or cabling job needed. They are extremely detailed and are excellent at problem solving. The price I paid was very fair for all the work they did. Thank you Mike, Javad, and the Starlight Tech team!!

I figure things happen and take time so I didn't call until 2:30 pm or so to check on where the technician was. I was told that my job had "not been added to the schedule" but they would see when a tech could be there. I was then told 3:45-4:00pm. No one arrived. I called at 4:15 pm and was told they were 25 minutes away. I called at 5:01 and the voicemail said the office was CLOSED and here it is 5:15 and no one EVER ARRIVED. I realize compared to other jobs this company has, my job was small and not worth a lot of money. However, the measure of a great business is to treat small customers as well as your big customers. If you don't show up when scheduled, fail to add a job to your schedule, and keep lying to your customer about the arrival time of your tech who NEVER shows up at all...why would I trust this company with my larger corporate work? How you treat people matters, whether the job is big or small. This was unacceptable today and I did not appreciate that I had to keep calling YOUR business to find out what was going on, what happened to the tech, etc. Why aren't YOUR people communicating with customers? Why didn't anyone apologize? Why didn't anyone call before close of business to say, "Hey, we're not coming!" I was extremely unhappy because no one cared that I had taken time off work to meet the tech and no one cared enough to even CALL me and let me know what was going on. You guys dropped the ball big time here and were incredibly thoughtless and rude. Update: They just arrived at 5:36 pm. The techs themselves were GREAT and were able to do the work and complete the job. However, I wanted someone to know about the lack of transparency and communication today as it was very upsetting to me. The quality of work and the people you hired to do the actual technical job were terrific, knowledgeable and qualified. I realized it was not THEIR fault today, but I think it's important for people to know about the communication problems. I updated my review from 1 star to 3 because of the actual techs and their skills.

    Very poor service request handling. Our fire panel has had an error(s) message for months and they…read morenever resolved or cleared the issue. We had also advised that some interior alarms did not announce in several units during an event and asked for them to come up with a solution to repair the issue. Nothing was ever resolved with nor did they provide any follow up response / solution. Also, they're unaware of the password for the panel to even work on it. So their only solution is to replace their panel with a new one. It is not recommend to use this particular location or even the company if this is how they handle a multi unit complex. We have no confidence at all and if zero stars could be given, then that would be their rating.

    1 Star - Extremely Frustrating Experience…read more I've had a very disappointing experience with Bay Alarm. I was only in Suite F during 2025, and never used Suite E. When I moved from Suite E to Suite F, I was told by their representative that my account would be transferred. At no point was I informed that Suite E would remain active. Then in December 2025, I called to cancel my service for Suite F. I was told it was canceled and that I would receive a confirmation email. That confirmation never came at the time. Now I'm being charged again, including for Suite E (which I never used in 2025) and for 2026 service that I never agreed to continue. This makes absolutely no sense: * Why was Suite E never closed when I moved? * Why would I be billed for TWO alarm accounts when I only occupied one space? * Why was my cancellation not properly processed? It feels like a complete breakdown in communication and account management on their end, and now I'm being asked to pay for their mistakes. I've tried resolving this multiple times and keep having to repeat myself with no clear resolution. I was actually planning to use Bay Alarm again for a new location, but after this experience, I've completely lost trust in the company. If this isn't resolved, I will not only refuse payment for incorrect charges but will continue sharing my experience. Be very careful when working with this company -- make sure EVERYTHING is confirmed in writing.

    Brought Matt back for 2nd time and spent thousands. He left…read moremy job after getting paid knowing that he needed to put covers for his wires he left exposed. Long story short, these covers don't exist because he encased my wires in a camera port that has no covers, therefore my wires stay exposed. After many texts and calls, finally got him on the phone, said he would come next day. Never showed, no response He even during the job needed me to fund money in advance! However, while closing…read moremy office in the area, I contacted Matt and asked him to discontinue my monthly service and the associated charges. He said "no problem", he would cancel my ongoing automatic payment, and I thought all was well. Well, 5 months later I see that the charges have continued and NUMEROUS calls and emails to him have gone unanswered. Granted, I should have noticed the charges on my bill sooner but at this point I can only assume one of two things, either Matt has passed away and is unable to return calls or he is intentionally avoiding returning my calls in an attempt to accrue as many erroneous payments as possible. I have no proof of this but my suspicion is that this is a side hustle for Matt and he just hopes to accumulate customers who pay a monthly fee (which he gets a percentage of) without having to actually do much ongoing customer service. At this point, my only options are to dispute the charges with the credit card company, post my bad experience with Matt and Patriot on social media, and possibly take him to small claims court. I would have much preferred Matt just call me back and handle the situation like a professional and a gentleman. Too bad.
