Can we rate 10 stars?!?! We were very cautious of giving money to someone we met on craigslist but we were very happy we did! Michael had the best work of anyone we had checked out. He also had the most reasonable price. We are very glad we hired him for our March wedding at the holiday inn martz plaza. He was professional, friendly, approachable and courteous. He really tried hard to capture our day the way we wanted and invited any ideas. We all had fun during our photo session over the Chicago river and during the wedding and reception his presence was barely noticeable. We got a ton of pictures and the edited shots were absolutely beautiful. He captured our special day perfectly and each time we look at our piggies, it's like reliving our fantasy day. I hired Michael as a photographer for my engagement party and I was more than happy with the pictures! Michael is fantastic to work with and takes direction really well. He is easy to communicate with and did not worry me at all with what he was doing. He is professional, creative, and trustworthy! I was referred to him from my family friend who used him at her niece's birthday party the weekend prior to my event in the same venue. She was very pleased with him too! Mike is great, he is professional but has character and it all shows in his work. We hired Mike for our wedding and we are so glad we did. Choosing a photographer can be scary because you can't do it twice so it takes a lot of trust. I would hire Mike again in an instant, he truly delivered. I was really excited to work with Mike for our wedding. We met him and his work was phenomenal, he has a great personality, and you can tell he really takes his craft seriously. Unfortunately, after we had agreed on terms for shooting our wedding, confirmed he was available, and requested the contract Mike informed us a few days later he had double booked himself. After looking for photographers for a while it was pretty upsetting but Mike offered to have one of his associates do the shooting for our ceremony at a discounted price. While this was not optimal, we agreed with have a meeting with his associate. We requested some of the work from his associate and were greeted with a very rude message saying that she doesn't think she can provide what we want. This assessment came without ever meeting us or speaking to us. If Mike was going to have one of his associates step in, it would seem like he would have asked that associate before giving us her contact information. It was very unprofessional on his and her part. When brought to his attention he apologized, and attempted to offer a free shoot which we didn't need. Needless to say, after this experience we put our photographer search on hold. I wish that Mike would have better communicated with us and his associate so there would have been a more positive resolution than simply "Here is a free engagement shoot" (which he already knew we didn't need.) *****Update****** Since posting this review Mike has continued to contact and harass my fiance and I about the negative review. Since I have posted this review Mike has contacting us no less than five times via Yelp and email (with the most recent being 5/29/16). Mike has continued to show a complete lack of professionalism throughout this process , I understand this might "hurt" his company but this was an honest experience I had with him. Instead of attempting to intimidate us it would be better to use his energy to focus on providing a better level of customer service and support. read more

Mike was absolutely amazing and by far the best decision we made for our wedding. He shot our engagement session along with our September wedding. To say he did a fantastic job in a HUGE understatement. Mike did an incredible job and our pictures for both our engagement session and wedding turned out better than we could have ever imagined. He was professional, funny, friendly and extremely responsive. We sat down and had multiple meetings with him explaining what our "style" of photography was and it took almost no time at all for Mike to realize what we were looking for. He completely hit the nail on the head with everything. He is also a great value for the amount of time and work he puts into everything. His attention to detail is meticulous. The pictures he took for our engagement session were gorgeous and as soon as he showed us a preview of them we knew he was going to be exactly what we were looking for. On the day of our wedding he arrived early with his assistant and told us exactly what he thought would look perfect...and boy was he right. He worked so hard the whole entire day and that definitely was evident in the pictures. Our wedding pictures blew us out of the water and captured our day so perfectly. Every single picture was absolutely breathtaking. We have received numerous compliments on the photos from friends and family. He provided us with memories that will last a lifetime and we will forever be indebted to him for that. Do yourself a favor and book Mike for your wedding...you will not be disappointed. Michael did a great job on our wedding reception photo's! We weren't interested in a ton of boring, posed wedding photo's to remember our day by. We wanted something more natural and candid..photo's that would tell a story and capture all the special moments we might have missed or otherwise forgotten. Michael definitely has a true gift for capturing the moment as well as the overall feeling of the entire day. The photo's are beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for. Michael was such a sweetheart and such a pleasure to work with. Our pictures were ready very soon after the wedding, but he still contacted us several times during the waiting period to update us on the progress and even sent us a couple sample photo's to peak at in the mean time. He really went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our photo's and to say they we were would be an understatement. We are ecstatic. I contacted Michael about photographing an event my catering business was providing for a client in order to get some content for my website and he did not disappoint! He remained flexible and patient as I had some changes on timing leading up to the event day and was professional throughout the event. I hired Mike to do the photography for my kids' birthday party. I found him on Craig's List, so I was a bit skeptical at first. I checked out his website before I sent an initial e-mail to him to request a price quote. The photos on his website were amazing! The colors were so bold and clear, and I loved his approach. I decided to move forward and send him an e-mail to request a price quote. The e-mail communication was great, and we were able to agree upon a price. He arrived early on the day of the party so we could take some set-up shots before the guests arrived. During the party, he took photos in an unobtrusive way. I loved this because I wanted tons of photos that captured the spirit of the party. I was able to review the photos through the InstaPrints Facebook account, and I received a disc containing the photos in a timely fashion. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the photos and the customer service I received.
