I scheduled a hair and lash appointment for 10:00 am on a Wednesday morning. When I arrived at the salon, the door was locked. I returned to my vehicle and waited 10-20 min to see if anyone would arrive. I called the salon at 10:20 am to inquire about my appointment and the person I spoke with told me she unaware of anything that was happening at the salon that morning and that she would call me back. They called me back at 10:30 to let me know that my hair appointment had been canceled and that my lash appointment had been "pushed back" to 11:00. There had been no previous attempt to contact me regarding these changes. As someone who has recently relocated to the Valley, I was looking forward to establishing a local hair salon, but I left Blush extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and professionalism. read more

This place was disgusting, when we got there the owner had no clue we had an appointment scheduled. When I laid on the table it was covered in hair. She did everything horribly and it was quite disgusting. She did a horrible job. I don't suggest going here unless you wanna come out with an infection. read more

This was the worst salon I have ever been to. I asked for a color, cut & style. They put me in the chair and the girl couldn't even speak a word of English. Someone had to constantly come over and explain what to do. Then when she washed my hair out, it was Very orange and the interpreter came over and said well it will look different once it's dry. I almost came out of my chair and told them I'm not leaving here looking like a bozo, FIX it. They started mixing some ash colors to get the red color out which helped a little. I'll never go back there. the owner is never there it's playtime for the employees when she's gone and even when she's there they just talk and laugh. She knew I wasn't happy with the girl that couldn't speak English, but all she wanted is her money. Very unprofessional. read more

I posted this yesterday::: OMG I'm so angry right now!!! Went in for a root & color...and they completely messed it up! First my appointment was at 2:15, and got started at 2:30...no big deal. She starts preping the stuff but keeps asking the other girl which product she should use, ok fine. Second bleaching of my roots happens, ok 30mins later the color. She begins to put it on my hair... And all over the sides of my hair, ears and neck shoot I even got some splashed on my hands!!! So she lets me know she will be leaving on for 30mins. Cool! She walks away to clean the bowl, while there's still paint all over my face! So I grabbed a towel and try to clean most of it of...30mins passed and nothing happens and hour passes and finally she comes to check my hair and says its ready. Great! Cause my scalp was already burning! So we go to the sink area and she begins washing off my hair when the front desk lady tells her that her next appointment is here. So she puts on this cream that's supposed to make my hair glossy on and tells me its just for a few minutes. So here I am laying in the sink area, my feet don't even touch the ground. So after being at the sink for 30mins I sat up because 1 my phone died and 2 my neck and knees were hurting. Finally I got her attention and she said I could sit up straight, gee thanks! She called another girl and asked her to rinse my hair good had already had this shine/gloss thing on for over 40mins! When it was supposed to be a few. All while she washed & cut the hair of the next appointment and waxed her brows! Dude did you forget i was still here???? Finally she comes back to finish it off but by then I was already fuming. I have a lot of patience I understand they have to multi task, but this was too much. Then I finally get to see the color and its not even the color i asked for!!!! I let her know and she tells me well you could've told me when you were at the sink and I could've tried to lighten it. To which replied: how if I couldnt even see my hair? So we get to the counter and she lets this lady(not surw who she was) know that I wasnt happy with my hair and she asks me why. So I tell her its not the color I wanted and shes like well it does wash off after a few days it will get lighter. She then proceeds to ask the employee her process to which the lady replies you did everything you could. And I show her a picture of what my hair looked like when I first got it done and what does she tell me "well ma'am I cant just take your word over a picture because even I can use an app to make my face more beige and my hair brighter" WTF!?!?!? are you effin kidding me?!?! That just set me over the edge and reallt pissed me off $200 down the drain. I will never again come here, i had been there before and Wendy had done an awesome job, But after today I will not be returning. Not sure if I can post pictures but I will try...I want everyone to see their awesome work, and what $203 will get you at their salon. I will also try to upload pictures of the actual color I wanted done. No it wasnt an app I actually had that hair color! Should've done it myself but no I wanted to be pampered...instead I got ripped off! read more

No one acknowledged me or even said "I'll be with you in just a minute!", nothing, absolutely nothing!! Customer service is not good at all!!! If I could give less than one star I would. I gave this place 2 chances. First time there was a schedule mix up so I was fit in (even though they had confirmed my appt). My hair turned out nothing like I showed the stylist plus she cut off at least 4 inches when I asked for a trim. The second time they were 25 minutes late to the appt after trying to reschedule the appt 45 min before it was scheduled. I got no apology or anything. They were rude and snobby because I wasn't able to reschedule my appt with only 45 min notice. And on top of that they did my hair wrong again. I contacted the owner the next day because I was just very bugged by the whole thing, she was rude and demeaning to me as if I was heartless for not being satisfied for their awful services...... all I was trying to do was tell her that I was unhappy (as I would want my clients to do) and while I understand things happening this place has some major communication, appointment issues and absolutely zero customer service. Been coming here for a while. Bea and Mari were good;however the work done didn't seem to be quality work. Final straw was my lashes which I paid $150 for and fell off a week later. My daughter and I went in for "Dutch braids" unfortunately I got a girl named Natalie. They looked so dumb I ended up taking them off later that evening. I've been to Blush twice. Each time there was a mix up with my appointment. Very frustrating. They need a better system that texts you to confirm your appointment. The first time I went they thought I wanted a Brazilian Blow Out. Ha no thank you! I just wanted a hair cut. Mari was already upset I was wasting her time with just a hair cut. I asked for face framing and I know I'm no professional but I've had face framing enough to know she didn't do it correctly and I ended up with a random chunk of hair in front on one side. The second time I went I was excited because I was consulted by Wendy, who has a good rep there. There was a miscommunication with my appointment. Wendy was in the salon all by herself and had to stay late for the appointment I scheduled. That is just not right. I feel like she didn't do her best work because she was rushed and wasn't ready. Great service from an amazing full service salon!! I made an appointment for my birthday to get a hair makeover. I was greeted by the owner, Vanessa, who offered to get me something to drink. Wendy was my hairstylist. She was fast and efficient, giving me beautiful golden locks for my birthday and a great cut! It was topped off by Iris, who did my eyebrow shaping. They have specials running on hair treatments, products, and services all the time. I already made my appointment for eyebrow tinting! These girls are fun and friendly. It's been awhile since I've been here, and I have always nice cut my hair elsewhere (which is why it looks nice now) but when I first moved to Harlingen about 6 months ago I got my haircut here. I did have to wait when I got there about 15 mins then one of the girls started cutting my hair. She told me she was going to cut my hair and then dry it and then if she needed to she would cut it again. I felt that she really knew what I was wanting though (I'm picky) so I went with it. Well she finished cutting and started styling and about 1/4-1/2 way through styling/drying it she transferred me to someone else who I think is the owner (Wendy?) and so then Wendy took over and wet my hair all over again and started cutting at it again and then dried it and styled it over again. When I got home and was thoroughly inspecting it I noticed that it looked so short and choppy and not only that but I had long pieces that looked way different than the rest. Needless to say, I ended up cutting my hair myself that day and haven't gone back since. I don't think I would go here again either. I haven't written a negative review in a while; it takes a lot for me to write one. I try to give a business a second chance. In this case, I had given Blush at least three chances and now I have to say something. Overall, this business has an issue with communication. I made an appointment through Facebook, but when I arrived at my manicure appointment, my appointment was not in the book and no one on staff was available to provide the manicure (it was just a hair stylist and a massage therapist). (The owner wrote me later saying that someone else was there who could have provided me the service, but she herself was not there to know which of her staff was/was not present. The owner also offered to extend a free manicure to me but I was too upset to go back.) Fast forward a couple of months: the salon has a promo for a shellac manicure so I decide to give them another shot and made an appointment on the phone this time. I arrive a few minutes before my appointment, but the manicurist was doing someone's hair so she was not able to start with me until 20 minutes after my appointment. I was tempted to leave after the long wait, but I wanted to give them a chance. She had to remove my previous shellac manicure, and I know that takes some time. She started cutting my cuticles and she ended up cutting my thumb skin. It hurt so much I cursed (that means it hurt a lot!). She put pressure on it "so it wouldn't bleed" but it still bled. She apologized profusely but I just wanted her to stop. After having to wait and then getting cut? She asked when I was told to come in for my appointment. (She was working on someone's hair who asked for something different, which made her run over in time, but it sounds like she didn't know I was there to see her or what time our appointment was.) I paid with my promo coupon and left. I haven't bled during a manicure in many years. She said it was because the tool was sharp. She offered me a free manicure, but I just don't want to go back. This salon sucks!!! I went to get my hair done and they charge me 169.00 dollars and they didnt dye my hair right. I went for 4 hours the first time and i wanted a light brown and they left a black crown on top of my head and they said i had to go the next day and fix it and i still had to pay the 169.00 and come the next day to fix it . I went to work with my hair like that. Then i went the next day and they dye it black again to fix the mistake which i didnt want!!! read more
