I'm used to playing phone tag back and forth with doctor's offices. I'm using to finally getting them on the phone only to be treated to rude, curt and uncaring comments from the staff. But not with Dr. Press and her receptionists. Not only was the nurse sincerely worried when I called for an appointment for chronic sniffles but she even put it down as an emergency and got me in there with a 48 hour window. This was even after I insisted that it wasn't urgent. Is it weird that I can't wait to go back to the doctor...?

But her leadership is the reason the place is falling apart because she may not be taking the time to assess, nor, observe, or maybe she does not care which she has proven to me when we last spoke just recently. I guess the prestige of this hospital is the reason why this Director is so arrogant that she forgotten why she is there. I guess the perspective to save lives is not within her reach anymore. That is the reason the workers in the reception area is so rude is because they lack tact in their Leadership with Dr. Nina Priven. They really make the patients needs here first priority. I even saw a couple of celebrities in this place. That said, their professionalism and the habits of their support staff are terrible. When my physician left the practice, the patients were asked to resume seeing their primary care doctors. There was no phone call to inform patients their MD was no longer available, nor was there any attempt to match patients with other endocrinologists on staff. Staff doesn't contact patients for routine matters such as scheduled appointments or pharmacy refills. This is a busy practice and existing patients are steamrollered.

Unfortunately I didn't see this doctor embody either of these. She came in like a storm and just went through my chart on the computer, not really having the patience or compassion that I was seeking. I don't think I finished a sentence the entire visit. The women's center was a great concept 5-6 years ago, when it first opened, unfortunately the entire place now looks super dated and run down in such a short period, all of the 4 elevators didn't work for most of the morning and they're located on the 12th floor, the receptionists ate their lunches at the check in desk and everyone just seems a bit miserable. I'd suggest trying any of the many other doctors available in this city. Also- I went to a ENT specialist a few weeks prior, also at Weil Cornell, and was sent 2 different emails asking about "my experience" I've strangely received none about this visit with Dr Rieger- I'm super curious on why that is. Best of luck to those looking for a pcp as I will be as well.
