    The Grand Theatre, under a variety of different names has been entertaining Londoners for over 100…read moreyears. I have been going to shows for over 30 years and am rarely disappointed. That being said, I don't go to every show but normally pick two or three a year that most interest me - not including smaller productions downstairs at the McManus or one off concerts or events. Admitedly, it may not have the production values of a big Broadway play but more importantly it doesn't have the cost. The seats are comfortable (well, relatively) the lobby and lounges are well decorated and they often off rotating art and/or interactive displays set up. There is a decent selection of beer and wine to be enjoyed at intermission and even cookies and juice for the kids - all at reasonable prices. Ideally situated in the heart of Richmond Row, it's easy to have a nice dinner beforehand or apres show drinks. I'm always amazed when I hear some people say they've never been as it's always been a part of my life and the cultural experience. I mean - yes, sure -- I've seen some plays that I enjoyed less than others but this can be pretty easily avoided with a little careful selection of what shows to see. London is lucky to have regional theatre of such an amazing caliber and I hope it's around for another 100 years!

It may not have the big production value shows, but they always have good shows on. Food selection could have been better. It is a great night out and would recommend it to anyone in London.
