It's located right on the Avon river and has a lovely garden area in front and a smaller one on the side.

Someone fraudulent used my Credit Card to purchase from them. I contacted them right away to let them know with my information to say whatever was bought with this credit card number is fraudulent because it wasn't me so they could figure out what was bought and maybe they could do something about it. Spoke to someone who said management will call you-NEVER DID, I called again a few days later and spoke to Anna, again gave all the details AND again was told management will call me, again NEVER DID. They must need money badly to have not do anything about fraud. Guess they figure that my credit card company would eat the charges, and they get their sale and I would not be responsible. DISGRACE OF AN ORGANIZATION TO NOT EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO CALL ME. So most likely someone bought a couple of tickets went for free and this piece of crap organization didn't want to do a thing about getting the individual. At least that's how it seems to me because they never called me as I was promised twice!

For something that stated they sold indigenous art I was perplexed to see the same bracelets, scarves, and hats I had seen in Anchorage's tourist shops four weeks earlier. Most of the items were familiar because they were from the northwest. I questioned why there were not more pieces from the northeast. Many of the pieces, including the dancing bear, were also the same we had seen the first time. It created skepticism that hadn't existed before. The staff were not great. Two employees in the front by the registers chatted amongst themselves not engaging anyone. When they separated the one who remained behind continued to say nothing and just stared. No greeting, no goodbye, just standing there. The lady in the back was better, but became overtly concerned when my mother touched a tag that had information on the little sculpture. A little too fast, a little too anxious she told us not to touch anything. The signs referenced not touching the sculptures themselves. I didn't understand why have a tag with information on it, appearing to be more than the price, attached to the statue if they were so fragile. She explained they had issue in the past but the approach was very off-putting. The experience was unpleasant so we ended up leaving with relative speed.

Always find something unique for myself or family. Staff knows their artists to help enrich your…read moreindigenous purchase.
