That doesn't sound like much - but this was all done to blend with the 18 year-old existing. This (his work) made it look like it was always there and that way! That is what I wanted. That is what he delivered. This was on top of a brand new concrete slab that was off from being perfect by enough to require his skills to make it look straight and right (it wasn't). He did that beautifully! He also has done work for me such as: building a generator storage shed (with a shingled roof) to match the house and it's new roof shingles, mount safety bollards, wheel stops for my boat and multiple fence support posts and post brackets to the new concrete. He has also removed and replaced my master bath toilet. His work and diverse skill levels are fabulous! I noticed a review that implied issues at one point. mohamed and his 'crew' began a remodel on my 2,200ft2 home which primarily included the…read morereplacing/refinishing of the floors, a mix of tile and hard wood. All of that work was done incorrectly, period. to the extent that I am now having my 2,200 ft2 home floors ripped up once again and repaired correctly by a licensced professional. The issues with the new flooring began immediately after installation. In the areas where they tried to install new tile the grout had begun cracking and falling out before the workers left each area that they were working on, explaining to me that it was due to the 'quality' of the grout. I later found out it was not due to the grout but was caused by poor workmanship since they had skipped the important basic step of installing some 'hardiboard' between tile and subfloor, throughout my entire home. Regarding the hardwood flooring: his 'crew' made many miscuts of the new hardwood flooring lengthwise yet installed the pieces anyway leaving a finished zig-zag appearance. this along with no clearance allowance where the wall and floor meet reflected the overall lack of knowledge and expertise of flooring installation became very apparent. Worst of all Mohamad stated that he could refinish a portion of my existing hardwood flooring which abuted the brand new tiled area he had installed and I believed him. His 'crew' allowed the electric floor sander to literally skip and bounce across the existing hardwoods and the newly installed tiled area. The workers severely gouged, scratched and paid no attention to the direction of the grain of the wood, leaving a finished look of a worn-out scratched up vinyl record album, or picture a CD that has been run over along I-5,tread and all. Oh, I forgot to mention that we just discovered today that Mohamed and crew installed a toilet without installing the wax ring, how is that even possible one might ask who can do such substandard work? what type of person does this? how can they live with themselves? This was the final episode in the disastrous outcome of my interaction with this organization. I am a disabled/retired gulf war era veteran. I thought I had seen it all and yet this is just another experience I would not wish to ever repeat. I am writing this review as I am now presently having the entire job redone, by another licensed contractor. My only shock is that I had thought I had checked out Mohamad thoroughly, and made an assumption that a younger upstart licensed and bonded contractor would only want to do a good job to build a reputable name in our community, I had no idea how wrong I could have been, and it has cost me dearly.

This one is about a guy that goes above and beyond what is expected. My wife and I just bought our first house and were remodeling it ourselves to save a buck. We had to move out of our old place and ran out of time so I started calling painting contractors for estimates. Several contractors showed up and gave us varying estimates but none of them were as professional as Todd from Pohland Painting & Contracting. I could tell right away that this guy wasn't just trying to land another job. He took the time to go over what needed to be done and didn't miss anything. The other contractors rushed through the estimate and didn't have the sharp eye for detail that Todd had. The best part about it was that his price was the best out of the bunch! I really believe he's the best deal in town and does the best work too. Todd and his crew even repaired damage on the walls that he hadn't built into the estimate! After getting to know him a little while I realized why he did those extra repairs. It's because he doesn't do substandard work and take pride in the job he does. He just couldn't do job that had his name on it if it wasn't perfect. Those ethics have been lost in the contracting industry by many of these fly by night outfits that churn and burn their customers. It's refreshing to meet someone of his integrity in this day and age. After trying to get rid of woodpeckers/northern flickers for several years by trying bird spikes,…read morelarge mechanical spiders, mylar tape, cd's hanging down, an owl in a tree, giant google eyes and actually covered the entire upper part of one side of our house with a tarp. When the tarp came down we resorted to Stuc-O-Flex. The paint is expensive, roughly a $100 a gallon. We then hired a painter to apply the paint, as it gets harder to see my husband on a ladder that far up. The paint was put on and we were hopeful. Like clock work we heard the knocking of their menacing beaks. Our fourth year in a row, a March return. I would not count on this paint taking care of the holes these menacing birds are capable of. My husband is once again climbing the ladder to repair the holes, three so far this year with stuc-o-flex on the siding. Sad in Seattle Diane P.

The work he performed on my home caused multiple issues that required immediate and costly repairs. This included: * Improper solar fan installation that caused a roof leak and damage to insulation and electrical components * HVAC duct work that came apart and reduced airflow--blowing hot air into the attic instead of the home * A saddle valve installation that led to water damage on custom-built garage cabinets I've had to spend over $1,800 out of pocket to fix the damage he caused. It gets worse--after the damage, he completely disappeared. I tried contacting him for nearly a month with no response. When he finally replied, he apologized, admitted fault, and said he would "make things right" and asked for one week to reimburse me. That never happened. It has now been 11+ days since that promise, and he is actively dodging calls and messages. This experience shows a clear pattern of misrepresentation, poor workmanship, and zero accountability.
