He never puts anything in writing, and since I can't remember exactly how much over he went the first two times, I will only deal with the last time in this review, which I remember very clearly as it only occurred only a few months ago. He started out by giving me a verbal bid of $1600 for a new skylight, which I thought sounded reasonable. As the work done by his workers (not him) is generally good, I agreed. A week or two later, when the work was done, the price had mysteriously shot up to $6600, more than 4 times the original bid. I was stunned, told him so and reminded him of the original bid. I then got a big sob story about his health and how many workers he had supposedly had to use. The end result was, he agreed to "lower" the price down to $4500, which was still almost 3 times the original bid. Foolishly on my part, I agreed. I am writing this review after talking with several people who refuse to use Wymer Concrete because of these shady business practices, and what basically amounts almost to extortion. I take responsibility for my own participation in this dishonest scheme~~I should simply have refused to pay one nickel more than we agreed upon. If anybody reads this and still decides to go ahead and use this company, be sure to get your bid in writing, and make sure he knows you will hold him to it.
