So when I went to lock the door it felt like my key was going to break off. Found out I had to lift the door handle up then lock. I spent to much money to have to work hard to lock and open a door. Then the windows I had installed, one of them started spotting on the inside. A window in my bathroom, I went to open to clean, I couldn't shut it. It took me and my husbands wait to push it back up. So I had called had a guy come out look at my problems. He took notes and left. We got a call a little later saying our replacement windows and what not was in. We made an apt for the installer to come and fix my problems. He got there on time but staid for two minutes. The new window was to big for the frame. They didn't make it the right size. He forced it into the frame and said yup it's tight and really hard to open. I'll have to talk to my manager about this. Why why do you? Then the bathroom window he looks at it and says oh yea I don't have any tools to fix this. (Which I find interesting because he had the parts needed to fix the window in his HANDS! So one would think hey I need tools for these parts I'm holding!) so I'll have to run to the shop and come back maybe it will be me or maybe some one else I don't know, but I'll call you later today and let you know what's going on. We will be back today to finish. So apparently he got lost to the shop, because no one called or showed back up. So we waited all day for the punk. I called at the end of the day and no one so far has called us back. So I'm left with a Broken bathroom window and a main room window we can't open! They are very unprofessional. I have a dog who is sick with cancer and an 8month old that both needs a lot of attention. My husband works thirds so he had to stay up all afternoon waiting for this person to come back or call, when he was supposed to be sleeping to deal with these people. That's not right, it's rude! Oh and we got a loan for the windows threw them. They didn't tell us that they were going to put a lean on our house. So that was a nice surprise down the road. If you get a loan with them look it over very carefully and look at the interest rates! We had an estimate done for siding and by the time we would have it paid off we would have spent over 30k!

We had Pella out to our home for a consultation to replace our rotting Anderson windows. The…read moreconsulatant was very friendly and cared about us and our needs rather than just selling us windows. He presented us with many option (Pella has quite a few unlike Renewal by Anderson). We selected Pella over all of the other we had out to bid. They were not the least expensive, but they were the highest quality and the best value. Once we purchased the windows, the follow up was fantastic. The crew they had installing our window as the most professional crew I have ever had in my home. They kept the mess to a minimum and when they were done I could not tell they had been there except for the beautiful windows. What really wowed me was how much more glass space there was in the Pella windows then the Anderson window, they really brought the outside in. I would highly recomend River City Pella if you have a need for windows or doors they were a pleasure to work with!!

The worst company and owner ever. My parents in their 90s were so upset by his treatment to them…read more First Pella sent out a new person who doesn't know how to measure (which he admits) so the old window was taken out, then put back in when the new window wouldn't work. And did I mention they pretty much stole money as the contract said one amount for the deposit and they took an entirely different higher amount using our credit card and later provided a receipt where they increased the price with no discussion (he claimed it was a clerical error). The owner is nasty, unprofessional- just the worst to deal with. Refused to return the overcharged amount until we said we would reverse with the credit card company. We went to small claims court, but it was dismissed as his contract says you must use arbitration, we choose not to go to arbitration to get the 50% downpayment back - just to get this guy out of our lives. If he had been accountable and kind at the start EVEN with all the Pella mistakes, then it would have gone differently, but he chose to be horrible to my parents. We have since learned that we certainly aren't the first ones he has treated poorly. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND RIVER CITY PELLA WINDOWS AND DOORS. In my entire life the worst company to deal with - we could overlook the multiple mistakes, but him being so rude and unkind is inexcusable for a business owner - especially with older folks who might need a little extra patience. He even accused them of wanting to keep the old window once it was put back in with their mistake, saying my parents wanted to cancel to just keep the old window (laughable) they purchased a new window elsewhere. He also said my parents need to learn manners (funny) my parents are beloved and known as the kindest folks around - they just have a strong belief that right is right and wrong is wrong even if a bully business owner can get away with it at small claims court. May he get in return what he deserves in this life.
