We didn't want to drive on the interstate with that tire, so we cancelled the service call from the rental company. Fortunately, someone recommended Marlie's. We called them forty minutes before they closed and they were so nice! They told us to come by so they could take a look at the tire They removed the screw, patched our tire, and only charged $30. Plus, we had a really nice conversation while we waited. As a bonus, they recommended dinner at Seneca Street Saloon. We ordered pizza, and it was delicious! Marlie's is the best!

I drove there very slowly. once I arrived, a Daniel Tire Rep told me they did not have the size of tire I would need in stock and it would have to be ordered, likely it would not be there until the next day. Beings that I'm an Investigator and was traveling to an active investigation scene, I could not wait a full day. Luckily, my boyfriend is amazing and even though he is currently active duty military, he was able to purchase the tires for me in Des Moines (2 hours away) and receive leave to drive them to me for the shop to put on my vehicle. ‼ EXCEPT, Daniel Tire REFUSED to put the tires on my vehicle because they weren't purchased there‼ Shame on you for not supporting someone from out of town! I will do my absolute best to let all of my Fort Dodge area people know to NEVER frequent your establishment!! I purchased a nice used chevy silverado that had just been through shop and had pre sale inspection with no issue found, which I have a copy of. 1 month later it developed a tick which I cannot blame them for but I took it in and they come back with 10,000 in recommended repairs, said need brakes which was a lie as I had replaced as soon as I got truck, said I needed both air filters which was a lie as their own fast lane had just replaced them, said oil pan and oil cooler lines were leaking which was a lie as their fast lane oil service just changed oil and never mentioned it and it doesn't leak. Said trans was slipping and needed a new temp sensor which was an outright lie as I took to another dealer and had a service on trans done and they found no issue with trans. Kemna wanted 1000.00 to "fix" trans and other dealer serviced it for 300.00 saving me 700.00. Kemna said right front wheel bearing was bad which is a fabrication it has 2 thousands of an inch of play which is well under acceptable play per GM spec. The lifters did need replaced but they wanted to do basically an entire top end and hadn't even pulled the head to inspect. Keep in mind this was within a month of purchase and their own service department inspection for sale not finding anything. Yes it needed lifters but that cost 3400.00 and no other repairs needed and that can be verified by the inspection I had done 2 weeks after the lifters done at Fort Dodge Ford.

I chalked it up to them trying to sell a battery. Fast forward after jump starting the battery 3 additional times the battery completely died. I brought the car to Heartland Tire thinking it was Alternator. Low and behold it was the battery. After eating humble pie it was fixed within hour and I was back on the road. It is nice to deal with a company who handles business fast courteous and respectful. I will be back. Thank you.
