Beth is really great. She makes you feel comfortable while exposing your embarrassingly large pile of accumulated crap. Sometimes it takes another person to ask you, "Do you really need that?" It's a bit expensive but if you want to de-clutter, Beth's your gal. (Plus she has really cute Christmas cards that she sends out.) If you're on the fence, I would set a date to get your stuff cleaned up and if you haven't met your deadline, give her a call to kick off your cleaning. Just know that she assists more than she actually does the organizing. If I'm paying that much, it would be nice to have it done for me, rather than having smaller piles of paper handed to me. Didn't even realize I needed it but I am now starting 2014 feeling re-energized and organized! I consider myself a pretty detailed-oriented, organized person...until I met Beth and her team. I knew I could use the help to get my place looking a little nicer and cleaning out the closets but I my expectations were definitely surpassed after an in-home session with Bneato! My first battle I wanted to conquer was my bedroom closet. I have two large sliding door closets with clothes and shoes pouring out of them. I told Beth that I had just purged items in January so there may not be much to get rid of...I was WRONG. After three hours we had 5 bags of good will and 1 large trash bag. I can see everything in my closet and my drawers are organized by type of clothing and then color AND labeled. I would never have thought to do that but it def helps. I went to one of the Bneato Organizing Boot Camps and it was amazing! I walked in with bags and boxes of papers that I just didn't know how to sort and organize- Beth recommended a great system AND provided all of the necessary files, labelers, etc.- it was fantastic! Full disclosure, I can't comment yet on Beth's actual organizing skills. I am reviewing her demeanor and professionalism, not her work. I live in Echo Park and had noticed that Bneato Professional Organizing was doing some workshops at the local library and wanted to learn more about how to go about doing the same for my business. I called Beth out of the blue and asked if she'd meet me for coffee at our shared local coffee shop Fix (which is great by the way, I must write a review). Not only was she generous enough to spend the time meeting me, she shared all of her secrets on how to manage a one person consulting business. When you work alone from home like I do, it's a miracle to find someone to share your ideas with and have them share theirs. I'm really grateful for all of the valuable advice she shared with me and especially her prompt follow up email with more information, as promised. I had a spare room that was working as a "big closet" and I hired Beth as my professional organizer so we could reclaim our room again. Beth is amazing as she not only helps her clients with their clutter but she also helped us determine what should stay and what should go and how to store efficiently what we wanted to keep, and she also gave us solutions on how to store our business supplies in our new home in a way that wouldn't clutter it up. the best $255 i have ever spent. when i told my friends i hired a professional home organizer they were all WTF, clean your own damn closet. BUT NO. they just don't understand! i can organize excel spreadsheets like a beast, but organizing my closet is literally the most daunting task i've ever been faced with. i spent FOREVER putting it off, but my mom finally caved and bought me 3 hours with beth as a christmas present. before beth and i met up, we discussed my goals and obstacles on the phone. i sent her photos of my room, and answered questions about what everything was. i had to reschedule our originally planned time but she was super flexible about changing the date. her minimum in-home is 3 hours and i honestly was blown away by how much we got done in that short span of time. what would have normally taken me months, took us 3 hours. one of the advantages of hiring a stranger to help you clean out your shit is that it's realllly hard to justify why you still need that tinky winky stuffed animal or those rave pants from highschool. she finished the session by loading everything into my car to take to goodwill - so smart cuz then i was forced to actually take it there. since our session, she's emailed me follow-up info with links to storage solutions we had discussed and also a list of things i needed to work through on my own. it's been many months since she came to my house, but the way she organized everything has been really easy to maintain. everything FINALLY has a place. definitely recommend if clutter is driving you nuts! read more

I work for 826LA, an educational non profit dedicated to supporting students with their writing skills, and Bneato came to the rescue twice now when our office space was exploding with files of student paperwork, books that we publish, and a bounty of unorganized supplies. A year ago Beth helped us organize our office and it made a huge difference. We learned a lot about how to better maximize storage space and keep things tidy. But as time passed we realized we had to do something more drastic because as a growing organization, we simply needed more room, and so called on Bneato's help again. We started working with Lauren, just as skilled and friendly as Beth, and in just under two months (with the holiday break in between) she developed a floor plan, scheduled cleaning and purging days, worked with us to rearrange the office, and we now have a beautiful, spacious office and bounds more storage space without having to buy anything new. I had a big problem with my closet.... small closet and lots of clothes, but hey, who doesn't, right. So I asked my dear friend Beth from Bneato how I can control this monsterous situation that had gotten clearly out of hand... or should I say.. 'out of closet'. During a discussion on getting more 'organized' a friend of mine recommended I check out www.bneato.com. I was impressed with Beth's website and signed up for the newsletters, which is how I learned of her No Mess No Stress Bootcamp for paper organization. I like to think I'm a very well organized person but Beth's bootcamp blew me away! In 30 minutes she explained how to properly organize files via a very fun/modern power point presentation. It also helps that Beth has a fabulous personality which makes you feel like you've known her forever. She had supplies for each person to help get their files organized (we were encouraged to bring in our paperwork and she supplied the rest) and spent individual time with each person (up to an hour and a half) answering questions and assisting each person. I was just reminded how amazing Beth is. As a birthday present to myself, I hired Beth to come organize my life. I had moved into my new apartment about three months earlier and had still yet to go through so much paperwork, organize shelves, buy storage containers. oh boy. this review has been in the works for a long time. i do not overstate when i say that beth's expert help has changed my life, and the life of our home! before, it was a happy yet messy, chaotic home. bills got missed, fees got charged, opportunities went unexplored and tasks went forgotten--all because there was just a bunch of extra JUNK everywhere! the average visitor would not have guessed that chaos was brewing beneath the surface but oh man was it there. i'm very good at compartmentalizing my crap (what a metaphor) into closets and drawers etc., but i was ready to be done with it once and for all. so i called beth. and i am so thankful that i did. she is truly gifted. not only is she good at organizing, she is good--no, she is excellent--at getting to the source of the disorganization that causes all our angst in the first place. we started with the PILES of paper, unsorted and hidden away in the various closets of my home. my dark secrets stashed in papers that i hadn't even looked at in at least 5 years. everything from love letters to tax statements and everything in between. the process was intense but beth was such an amazing support and encourager. she's very intuitive and never made me feel bad for hanging onto certain things...instead she would ask me how it might feel if i let it go...or how it might feel to take a picture of it and then let it go...thereby getting to the source of my attachment to various things which was, of course, emotional. good professional organizers are almost like therapists in this way, and i am so grateful to beth for helping me through the really sticky, difficult parts of letting go. i am someone who needed to talk it out and she was able to do that with me, without judgement but also with supportive encouragement to keep clearing my space of old, un-needed things so that new things could flow in. and they did! once we had done the hard but incredibly cleansing and healing work of getting rid of extra junk, beth helped us set up systems that actually work. and she really opened my eyes to the fact that it's my choice to lessen the extra items i bring into the house. i've learned that the fewer items i have to begin with, the less time i have to spend thinking about where to put them and how to use them, and the more energy i have for life and important projects rather than just keeping up with the overwhelming flow of stuff in my space. beth is extraordinarily talented at what she does--and she's also super cool, down-to-earth, and fun. my hubby and i are grateful for her presence in our lives and if i could give her ten stars, i would! read more

It has been a little over 2 months since Beth came into our home. With 2 kids under 3 we just didn't have the time to sit down and go through the nitty gritty. Hello Bneato! Beth was amazing! She came in and we sorted jewelry, mail, old clothes, toys, kitchen cabinets, bathroom drawers, you name it. We worked non-stop for a few days and upon completion I felt like a brand new person!
