And he wasn't wrong...so make sure you put it on your to do list. We got reservations in advance, as it's a pretty popular spot. Steak Tartare - this was some of the best I've had. Served with an egg yolk, but it didn't even need it. Tomato Bread - I just started ordering it everywhere I ate in Barcelona and never regretted it. Also get it to eat with the Steak Tartare Russian Salad - love this stuff, it's such a comfort food. Basically mix up some potato salad, and egg salad, throw in a few other things, served with a couple of bread sticks Burrata - oozing with creaminess, served on a bed of the sweetest tomatoes and tasty oil. Don't miss this. Salmon Tartare - Asian inspired with soy sauce, rice and avocado mousse. Patatas Bravas - they sure do like their spicy mayo on potatoes in Barcelona....when in Rome. Courgette Flowers - I do enjoy zucchini blossoms, they were lightly tempura'd with a melted mozzarella inside. Delicious. Deep Fried Young Onions - served with Romesco sauce, these were tasty, and nicely crisp batter, but the onion was a little hard to eat as it tended to be stringy while chewing. But I just think that's how the onion is, and it's something you should eat in Barcelona. Chunks of Garlic Beef Filet - another must order dish. Perfectly medium rare, bubbling away in garlic olive oil that smells wonderful. They brought us some more tomato bread to enjoy it with. Chocolate Ice Cream - simple and enjoyed the little chocolate pearls on top. Passion Fruit Mousse - loved this dish, not too sweet. Would totally get this again Catalan French Toast - impressed how we were trying many dishes, they insisted we tried this signature dessert. Glad we did. I would describe it as a tres leches cake on the bottom with crème brûlée on top. Yum. Perfect way to finish a great meal.

We ordered the following: - organic potatoes bravas - palamós shrimp croquettes - Confit octopus finished on the grill, smoked paprika oil, osmosed orange, fennel, black olive - Beef tenderloin, green peppercorn jus, crispy confit potatoes, grilled zucchini - Homemade Truffle Raviolis in a creamy truffle sauce with Parmesan and sage - 2 glasses of Rosé Everything we had here was DELICIOUS but the homemade truffle ravioli was out of this world! Best dish we tried... hands down. If there's one dish you have to order from Sensi, it's the white truffle ravioli! Our least favorite dish was actually the potatoes bravas unfortunately. It was still good but we were not the biggest fans of the orange sauce. Usually we really enjoy the bravas though. We found the potatoes were kind of dry too, compared to other restaurants we ordered this from. The shrimp croquetas were amazing, as well. The filling is puréed and the prawn flavor is quite strong. I was definitely right on the mark as all restaurants I've walked by before dinner wasn't as crowded as this. And this place had a line out the door. Pan con tomate (toasted bread with tomato spread) was done sooo right here because they used crisp brioche bread and the tomato spread had a nice balanced ratio of olive oil blended into it. The patatas bravas (brave potatoes) took me back to the first time I had this in 2018. Such good crisp skin, soft fluffiness and that aioli mayo signature sauce on top - I swear I feel they make their own sauce for this dish. Grilled octopus here is special as instead of a tentacle - you get a fatty piece with multiple cuts of the octopus. Even better just as you would get multiple pieces of fatty toro in an omakase. I just loved the ease of dining in Barcelona where you share small intricate flavored plates with a glass of wine to balance these dishes. It was a nice long but roomier restaurant in the back. Very deceptive to the eyes but in a good way. You get to see the chefs cook near you that makes you appreciate the work of art put into the food. And can't forget the oxtail dish that's uniquely in the form of a patty and broken up into shredded meats. Fabulous to everything.
