I left there with much more hair cut off than I wanted and a couple good scratches under my nose and on the back of my neck from her dented Shaver. I got my haircut by Jordan M. I asked her to cut my hair a certain way to leave the length on top she cut 2 inches off the top. She said she had a long day. I requested a benchmark and I was done in 20 minutes, I should've went to great clips, because that was a terrible experience and I will not be going back. My son showed up 10 minutes late and was charged a $20 late fee and told that they could not get him in for an hour and a half. This is absolutely ridiculous! Last appointment he had to wait 45 minutes. I find it hard to believe him being 10 mins late for a cut only that someone else took his spot that fast. I'm writing this on behalf of my boyfriend who has had a negative experience multiple times with Boardroom. We live in the neighborhood so it is conveniently located and you are allowed to make appointments but it has been a poor experience from the start. The first time, the person showed up late to work by 45 minutes and he understood things happen to people. The second time, the person was late again. The third time they did not show. It sounds like there is a lack of professionalism and follow through. As customers, we are forced to make appointments and move things around for work to accommodate your schedule. The least they could do is call or text to notify that they are running late or unable to make the appointment. We recommend not wasting your time and find a place that honors your time. read more

I've lost complete faith in Boardroom. The memberships are simply not worth it. Unlimited hair cuts... if they will honor your appointment. 2nd time this year they cancel the appointment the day of the appointment (one a Clearfork and one at the curry street location), which are both owned by the same person). Now I'm stuck funding another place for a hair cut. Again. I travel quite a bit. I simply don't have the time to work through rescheduling at some random point in the future. Scheduled an appointment 8 days in advance. the night before my appointment I received a text saying that my appointment time had been changed. I called to tell them I wasn't able to make that new appointment time and they said they didn't have enough closers so they couldn't fit me in. I called multiple times in the days prior to my membership renewal to get it canceled and no one answered. Lo' and behold, I had to pay the membership fee that I hadn't planned on paying. I politely asked for a refund and the owner responded in a rude, pretentious manner saying that he needed proof that I tried to cancel. I can't prove that I wanted to cancel if no one answered the phone, and I'm not going to call a million times in hopes that they will answer. 5 star service but Wives beware 0 star for ill mannered male clients. No chivalry. Great Service -but beware if you're a female significant other, you may be harassed by male clientele for being a woman. Today I was shamed for being a female and sitting in a men's barber shop managed and operated by female staff by a client of theirs. It's my birthday today and my boyfriend who has complained about his haircut for weeks and another friend who is male encouraged him to get a cut. I jokingly pleaded,"It's my birthday please get a cut, so I don't have to listen to ya complain anymore." It was a beautiful day, and just happy to be happy. Happy to give a present to my boyfriend on my birthday. Fast forward, I'm in the waiting area while my is boyfriend getting a really great haircut with an amazing staff member. Everything was fine, the concierge was chatting with us and very friendly. Another male client walks in and said, "It's a little crowded." I thought being the friendly down to earth Texan I am it was just a comment, I agreed with him..."Yea it is a little small" and went in to waiting room chat etiquette about sports, but no he says, "I thought this is a mens only barbershop" I could clearly detect a hint of his east coast accent. My mutual friend who is also male and celebrating my birthday said, "She's waiting for her boyfriend to finish his haircut." The yankee wouldn't stop being snide so I attempted humor, I threw out a comment, "I'm trans" and --He just stared at me...I say, "I'm joking man. I'm giving you a hard time."--He goes on to shame me for being there and how it's suppose to be men's only barbershop. So I look around and tell him "If you want a men's only barbershop maybe go somewhere where only men cut your hair, cause I see only women working here." At that point my friend tried diffusing the situation...and I said,"It's okay, I know I'm being a bitch..."but really I wasn't being a bitch at all...I was and did stand up for myself. As a paying client no one should have to deal with ill mannered behavior like that. I'm all about respecting each genders attribute and characteristics, I'm also about respecting someone sexual orientations, race, and age. A barbershop may only cater to men, but that doesn't mean a man's significant other when female isn't allowed to sit in a designated waiting area for her man to get his shave and cut. Bro it's not f@";-Ing 1919--it's 2019. Boardrooms aren't just filled with and run by men anymore. read more

Front desk completely ruined any chance of going back here. Loved their service but front desk people have no clue what customer service is. Both myself and my 16 year old son use to get hair cuts there. The last two times I sent my son in have been awful experiences. The first, they didn't do the full service I was paying for. The stylist did not wash my sons hair and it didn't even looked like she cut it at all. I called the front desk to ask why and the representative told me she didn't know why she didn't but she probably didn't have time. I talked to Kayla about and she was very apologetic and said she would put a discount on his next cut. Fast forward a month later.... took him back and he called after he was done to say he was ready. I was directly across the street and when I went to pick him up he said he paid using my CC on file. I asked him how much it cost and he said he didn't remember. I asked how much he tipped and he said 12 percent. I went in to check on the costs and increase the tip. He didn't purposefully short the tip, he just wasn't aware of the standard. So I went in and asked how much the haircut cost. I also wanted to make sure they put the promised discount on there. The reps first words to me were "well, he only tipped $7." She told me the charge which didn't include the discount. She looked through the notes and said she saw where Kayla put in a whopping $10 credit for the initial bad experience. Again, I like what they offer and will miss the service that I usually received but will never go back. read more

I came in with a 4 inch beard. The "stylist" didn't have a clue how to trim a beard. The stylist used a trimmer with a guard and ruined the shape. When I got home I had to spend 30 minutes reshaping it and lost a complete 2 inched in length. Never again. All The BoardRoom is an expensive average place... not 1 barber in the establishment (yet) Money wasted. Love this new location! A little smaller than the west 7th location but still the same upscale vibe with great hospitality. Stephanie working the front desk got me all set up for my appointment and made great conversation with me. I got the benchmark because you really just can't go wrong with pampering yourself a little. Hailey was my stylist and she was incredible. She made the experience more then just a haircut. What I loved most is that the consult part of the appointment never ended she kept making sure I wanted this or that and gave input where input was needed. This will certainly be where I continue to go for all my haircut needs. read more

I called the boardroom salon for men at Clearfork in Fort Worth on Sunday, January 12 and asked what time they close and if they could cut my son's hair. The woman said that they close at 5pm but they would cut it if I arrived before 5pm. We enter the barbershop seven minutes before 5pm and the woman was rude and said that they wouldn't cut his hair. Been here before and had a pleasurable experience. Make an appointment ON MY BIRTHDAY and show up about 10 minutes early. Not a single person sitting in a chair inside. I wait over 20 minutes and finally go up and tell the two girls at the counter that I guess I need to cancel. I had a 3:45 yet it's almost 4:00. They try to tell me that one stylist is running behind and the other 2 are on lunch. I don't need excuses for your incompetence.
