On top of this- I filed the soonest I could so there was plenty of time to get this completed on their end. The following year- my fees were still in my IRS account and ended up being taken out of my next tax return. They promised they'd still continue to work on this with the IRS and get those late fees back since it was their fault to begin with. However, after this promise I was completely ghosted. I would recommend going anywhere else if you expect your taxes to get done on time and with proper communication. I've had much better luck using TurboTax!

I wouldn't get a swimsuit or underwear here, but as long as you have a functional washer and dryer waiting for your new purchases, you should be fine. Things here are ridiculously cheap and some days, they run half-off specials that you don't even know about until you get to the register. I got like three ugly Christmas sweaters and a mug and a dumb statue and honest-to-god Uggs (this was 2009, don't judge) for under $10 once. Not even kidding. I was in here with my moother last summer and got a bunch of old mom jeans to turn into high-waisted shorts, too, and they turned out super adorable and cost me about 1/20th of what my friends here are paying for theirs. While waiting to check out, I found a makeup primer in a ten-cent bin and it was the best primer I ever bought. Honestly, this place turns out miracles. Lots of random old stuff in the back right corner and if I remember correctly, a bunch of books downstairs, too. All kinds of cool jewelry in the display case, as well. You'll get some weird junk every once in a while and at times you'll interact with some *interesting* characters who are also shopping in the store, but that is thrifting for you.

From my first contact to obtain an estimate for the digital transfer to the final completion of the job, my experience was overwhelmingly positive, user friendly and excellent. My ongoing communications with John Kolb, owner of Heavenly Reminiscences, were always informative, detailed, upbeat and consistently productive. John provided an exact cost estimate of my very large digital transfer of 12 reels of 8mm films into the cloud. The oldest films were 75 years old, the youngest 55 years old. These irreplaceable family treasures were treated with the utmost consideration and respect by Heavenly Reminiscences staff. I was continually kept apprised of the progress of the transfer. Remarkably, despite the age of the films, 11 of the 12 reels were successfully transferred to the cloud with no significant technical issues. However, one reel presented immense challenges to make the transfer due to the very poor condition of the original 8 mm films. John and his staff made a concerted and determined effort to salvage as much of that film reel as possible. I was so impressed by the attention to detail, focus on task and exhaustive efforts Heavenly Reminiscences staff put forth on my films. I truly felt that John treated the films as if they were his own family's special and unique history. Prior to choosing Heavenly Reminiscences for a digital transfer job. I researched many companies advertising their transfer services. Some "charge by the foot of film " which would have made my transfer exorbitantly expensive due to the quantity of my 20 years worth of family home movies. Other companies had hidden or unexpected excessive costs which only became known at the time of final billing when the transfer task was completed. Lastly, some other companies had non-responsive or non-existent customer service. I communicated frequently with John during the entire transfer process. He was always responsive by email to my questions or requests for updates. He readily kept me up to date on the progress of the transfers. His prices are a flat,set rate for each reel, regardless of the length of film on a reel. His estimate will include any additional costs such as transfer to a thumb drive. Included in his price are addition of titles for each reel and return shipment to the customer of the original films following completion of the transfer job. So, the only upfront cost for the customer is the initial mailing shipment to Heavenly Reminiscences of the media to be transferred. Based on my research, Heavenly Reminiscences has the best prices for media transfers. The finished transfers are exceptional. I am amazed at the clarity, detail and overall quality of the images, even on films which are now 75 years old. What a fantastic job Heavenly Reminiscences did with my old 8mm films. Be assured, Heavenly Reminiscences will expertly and very competently handle any media transfer project you have! I HIGHLY recommend Heavenly Reminiscences for any media transfers. I have been a customer of this business for a few years now. However, I am not impressed with the…read moremanagement. Don't twist my review, as the cleaner we had was GREAT! However, it is clear that management with this company is a problem. They go through employees on the regular. We have had maybe 10+ cleaners come and go in the time we have been with this company. Ownership seems very unorganized as well. But the biggest thing for me, is they talk trash about their customers. If you are going to talk badly about those people supporting your business, you don't deserve their support or their money. ETA: I can assure I was a customer of this company from 2024-2026. Weekly cleanings.
