I interacted with 6 staff - each having something to offer in help, information and ensuring I had different sizes brought TO MY DRESSING ROOM. (What? Does that still happen?!) I had 6 items to find try on, and when I walked into the store and saw its size and amount of goods, I was a bit frustrated - as I was in a hurry. Within 30 seconds I was approached by a woman in the Levis, saying that it looked like I could use some help . . . and a good shopping experience continued from there. At the till, another staff lady showed me how to maximize my savings on the triangle app. As I have a Triangle MC - she showed me more offers on the app I wasn't aware of: tripled my points. I shop Marks from Fort St. John to Vancouver to Invermere and into Calgary. Great merchandising and clean. I've found that Marks has upped its game over the last few years in general (except an unfortunate shop at one of upper Kamloops store . . .but I've gotten over that.) I asked her if she could help me find it, and she led me back to the front of the store and showed me a jacket that was pretty much plain black -- the pattern was super faint. She then said that they didn't really have what I was looking for, and directed me towards below the belt. She wasn't very nice during the whole exchange, and pretty much told me to get lost. The store doesn't have a whole lot of selection, and it's pretty much just a whole bunch of variations of the same thing. Bench. is also notorious for being super friggin expensive. Other than if you wanted a specific item from this store, I don't see much of a reason to shop here.

Auld Phillips is sort of a funny place. If you look at the display in the window, it screams "50…read moreplus" market for clothing. Out of curiosity I explored it one day and found it has a dual personality. There is no doubt that the senior citizen can find their stand by faves in here. There is also a decent selection of French Dressing jeans, and other name brands that suit those of us who worry a bit about wearing sleeveless, but aren't ready for polyester elastic waistbands. There are some really nice dress blouses, pants and up scale jackets for business to cocktail purposes. The service from the ladies who work there is exceptional and they know fit, and make actual recommendations and help you get a nice look... how rare is that?!?!
