I communicated that clearly when her team reached out and also shared that I intended to return next year. At that point, I was explicitly told I would be **deleted from the system** and treated as a new client because I did not file with them this year, despite a 6 year client relationship. That included being placed on a waitlist, paying significantly higher fees, and no longer working with Kristina directly, but instead being reassigned to someone else on her team. I spoke with Kristina directly to better understand the decision, and she confirmed this is now standard policy. What made this particularly frustrating is that this is not a large corporate structure where policies are fixed or inflexible. This is her business, and these are policies that have been recently introduced and are fully within her control. Applying them this rigidly, without any consideration for a long-standing client relationship, felt unnecessary and reduced a long-term client relationship to a transaction. After 6 years of consistent business, being effectively reset after one year of not needing services is difficult to justify from a client perspective. This ultimately reflects poor relationship management. I would strongly recommend clarifying continuity expectations in advance, as prior client history ultimately carries no weight under this model.

In fact, I called a couple of places and could tell over the phone that Mady was knowledgeable. I recommend calling and speaking to the EA or CPA or whomever you are planning to use to get an idea of how they can help you with your tax scenario. I made an appointment, spoke to Mady briefly, and then returned a week later to pick up my tax return. My first impression was that Debbie and Mady are both laid back people with good senses of humor and seem to approach their clients and work with friendliness and respect. Debbie who makes the appointments and looks like she helps in many ways, was very nice and managed all the paperwork I emailed. Mady is personable and knowledgeable and I was very happy that he went over my entire tax return with me and answered all my questions. The office has a few different sections so don't be afraid to ask for privacy if you feel more comfortable discussing your taxes (without anyone else in the room waiting). They happily accommodated my request. I got money back and in legit, legal ways. Mady does not seem to cut corners, while still making sure I got all the breaks and benefits I could. Their office also seems organized - important for a tax office. They also always answered the phone when I called. Street parking is easy in the area. Call and make an appointment first.
