I switched to Allstate-Bob Barton Agency in 2017.
Paid my monthly premium with no issues or complaints from me. I had noticed that my premium started creeping up but nothing that warranted a call.
I recently hit a deer and had to put a claim into Allstate. After calling Bob's office, I was put on hold for an extremely long time, eventually I just hung up and called the 1-800 number. About an hour later his assistant called me back but everything was done by then. Reviewing my coverage, I was told I didn't have rental coverage but that's my fault for not knowing.
A few days later, Allstate approved all the repairs claimed on my incident. Directed me to a repair facility and told me I was all set. After my car was in the shop and disassembled, they called me and said that after further review, some of the repairs would not be covered as it was believed to be previous damage. My vehicle had zero damage before that incident and was in immaculate condition. Not to mention, the body shop literally pulled deer fur out of the damaged areas.
Bob sent me a quick email saying, we won't be covering the repair. "Sorry I couldn't get you a better outcome" Not even an ounce of professionalism to call and speak to me about the situation.
This has been the worst experience I've ever had with an insurance company. No care, concern or respect for their customers. Just take your money.
I'm sure my vehicle & home policy mean nothing to this group but I'll make sure to warn others to stay away from Bob Barton and Allstate. For years I've paid into my policy and when I needed to use it, I'm denied repairs. Extremely dishonest practice. I have cancelled my policy with Bob Barton agency and my next step is contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more
