Though I already knew this office was great through my son's experience as a patient, I was blown away by a recent experience with frenectomy for my newborn daughter. After my lactation consultant suspected a lip and tongue tie for my daughter, we were able to get in the schedule in less than 48 hours for an evaluation and correction. Everything happened right away and this made all the difference for my 2 week old little, who had started falling off the weight curve! The procedure was very quick and helped tremendously with the feeding difficulties we were having. Though this procedure is not covered by insurance, I found their fees reasonable and they offered the opportunity to use care credit. Dr. Bob is a wonderful dentist and the office is well run! Both my children have really enjoyed going to the Dentist and their experience thanks to Dr. Bob since they have been 1 year old. My kids are now 2 & 3 years old so my kids have been a patient for 2 years now. The staff is extremely costumer service oriented and very nice. They will text you and call you to confirm if you don't respond to the text. The office has a nautical theme very nice and clean and the process to fill out paperwork in in an IPAD. They have computers for the kids to play outside and TV's on the ceiling for the children to watch kids shows. The wait time is very minimal which is great and one of my favorite things. I have been in and out in 30 minutes. Dr. Bob is bilingual as most of his staff is as well. Dr. Bob and the staff will try their best to make your child feel comfortable and enjoy their experience by giving them a balloon, stickers, good bag, coin for a toy vending machine outside. My son had some real serious dental issues. After many bad experiences and bad work - we were nervous about dentists. Then my son who is 7 had a dental emergency - we were referred by Miami Dentistry (Dr. Brian Nitzberg) to Dr. Bob and he took us in at the same day that we came in. He is one of the best dentists I have ever been to. Truly amazing with kids. He has a gift - totally keeps the kids occupied on other things - my son had a great experience & had no trauma. He had a great experience. A bit of discomfort when the anesthesia wore off - but didn't even need anything for pain. Was totally fine the next day. I just can't thank Dr. Bob enough. Truly. My little one's first visit to the dentist was wonderful thanks to Dr. Bob and his staff. We only waited about 10 minutes. The waiting area has a TV which was playing Moana. There are also some Ipads so the little ones can be entertained while they wait. Once we were called into the exam room, there was a TV. The hygienist put on a show from Netflix that's one of my little one's favorites. She also gave her a bunch of stickers. She was very gentle when brushing her teeth. Once Dr. Bob came in, he asked me a few questions and played with my little one so she wouldn't be nervous. She started crying but he was as quick as possible. After searching online and asking for recommendations from other parents and disability advocacy groups, Dr. Bob's Pediatric Dentistry was highly recommended as a dentist with experience working with special needs children. Guided by the information on their website, which specifies that they provide care for adolescents, we requested an online appointment for our 15-year-old son. When we received the call to confirm the appointment and after explaining our son's disability, the scheduler told us that their office does not work with teenagers and that they cannot provide dental care for him. I assumed that maybe I missed on their site that they only work with small children, as was emphasized by the scheduler. I looked on their page again and it repeatedly states that they provide "specialized dentistry for children and adolescents" and serve "infants, children, teens, and special needs patients." Their page goes so far as to clarify on the "Request Appointment" tab that "late afternoon appointments are reserved for middle and high school age patients." These quotes are directly taken from their official website and Facebook page (see attachment of screenshots). The next day, I called back with the optimism that maybe the scheduler was mistaken. "Isa", the person who answered the phone, reconfirmed that they do not treat teenagers, even after I explained how their multiple marketing sites state that they do and the hold music/commercial (in that same call) states it several times as well. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry defines Pediatric Dentistry as "an age-defined specialty that provides both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs." (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Overview. The Reference Manual of Pediatric Dentistry. Chicago, Ill.: American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry; 2021-2022:7-9.) So, we have a few problems here. Either: (1) Dr. Bob's Pediatric Dentistry is incurring in False Advertisement; or (2) Our son was discriminated against as they refused to provide service to a disabled teen. This practice is not in compliance with the guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, which specifies that pediatric care includes adolescents. I just want to remind Dr. Bob and his staff that disabled children grow up to be adolescents and ARE included in the pediatric scope of the practice. If they specialize solely in younger children, they should update the information accordingly and stop their false narrative to mislead families of children that are in need of specialized treatment because of their disability. Went to visit dr Bob due to my new born having tongue tie and lip tie! He was recommended to us by our lactation consultant. When calling the office the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They were attentive and answered right away, no waiting on the phone and helped us find an appointment as soon as possible. The office is very clean, they have hand sanitizer, the staff cleans their hands before touching our baby and no one was in the waiting room. Going to the dentist with a new born I was very scared specially with COViD but we did not wait longer than 2 minutes in the waiting room with no one around. Dr Bob was very good at explaining the procedure, what tongue tie was. He seemed to be very knowledgeable about breastfeeding and how it would affect my baby which was very reassuring. He allowed myself and my husband to be in the room which was amazing and I was extremely grateful for that. Dr Bob is pleasant and was very gentle with my baby he even swaddled him ! I've only been there 1 time and it went great, now for my son's second appointment is where I have han issues. So my son is on the spectrum but he is high functioning/ less support and doesn't have really any sensory issues, all the appointments they have tried to give me have been in morning which is hard since I work and he goes to school so today I finally asked for an afternoon appointment and they said no because he is on the spectrum. I was shocked, I told them he is high functioning/less support and the women told me it's company policy to only see patients on the spectrum in the morning that if I wanted an appointment in the afternoon I would have to come in the morning then they will decide if he can have afternoon appointments. I have two children who are not fans of dentists. Surprise, surprise! We had been patients at a nearby dentist (which I will refrain from naming) and felt that they were always charging for and recommending unnecessary services. We switched to Dr. Bob a few years ago and the kids actually look forward to it, well mainly to the coin they can use for a treasure at the end of the visit. My son recently had a bike accident and chipped his front permanent tooth and Dr. Bob did a great job fixing the tooth. My son is kinda bummed that it's so good because he really liked telling everyone the story with his "visual aid". We have been twice since COVID and feel very safe in the office. Excellent experience for my 2.5 yr old's first dentist visit. Scheduling was easy, they took several measures to confirm and remind prior to the appt, and check in was a breeze as they use tablets to complete the medical history. The waiting room was small, clean, cute. My daughter HATES the doctor, but has finally reached the age of bribery so, after some negotiating, she opened her mouth and get her teeth cleaned and flossed which is far more than I thought we'd accomplish during this visit. The dental hygienist was sweet, calm, and convincing, and was excellent with my daughter. When Dr. Bob came to the room, she was comfortable showing her teeth. She got a gold coin which the kids can use for a prize after the visit, a goodie bag, and a balloon. My daughter is scared of strangers and honestly scared of most of our family members too but the staff at Dr. Bob's office made it happen and I am so grateful. read more

Had I written this review after our last visit, the star rating would have been higher. I just tried to reschedule my son's appointment and was told by the receptionist that he could only come in the morning because he is 4. He is starting school next week and can no longer do mornings. I also have a baby whom I have no help with in the mornings and, due to covid, would rather not take with me. If this business can truly not make an exception, maybe they should train their front desk on being more polite when making it so clear that my business means absolutely nothing to them. Our family has finally found "the one!" We searched multiple pediatric dentists and were not happy until we met with Dr. Bob. His entire staff are incredible. My daughter has been very nervous about having some work done. She felt 1000% comfortable with him and said every dentist should be just like him. Dr. Bob definitely has a gift to work with children. I can't imagine a better pediatric dentist in Miami and the surrounding area than Dr. Bob!!! We saw a pediatric dentist in Aventura when we first moved to the area. We knew from our first visit with her that our son had a cavity, but there was NO way we were going back for the filling. Then we found Dr. Bob!! Our son warmed up to Dr. Bob within minutes. Dr. Bob has such a great way with children and knows exactly how to develop a rapport with them as does his staff. He treated our son with respect and talked with him about his hobbies and interests. Since the moment you walk in you feel very welcomed. The front desk ladies are super helpful and answer any questions you might have. The dental hygienist that my 6 year old son had was extremely nice. She made him feel sooooo comfortable for the cleaning. She asked him to choose the brush for the cleaning, showed him all the different tools they will be using and I feel like my son felt very comfortable once he saw he was so involved in the process. The TV on the roof made him forget he was even at the dentist. And Dr. Bob? Amazing dentist! his bed side manners were amazing. We have been to 3 different pediatric dentists in Miami. My oldest has had major dental work done in the past 7 years due to enamel erosion due to reflux. This office and Dr Bob are by far the best in the area. I have 3 kids and they do all 3 cleanings at the same time so I'm in and out in less than 1 hour. Other offices I've had to be stuck in the office for 3+ hours. My oldest has had 1 cavity filled by him and it was by far the best experience. He talked her through the entire procedure in a calm voice and used vocabulary that she would understand and not be scared by. She left with a smile and this is coming from a kid who would cry and refuse to get out of the car to go to previous dentists because of pure fear. Excellent experience. Called in the morning at 9:30 because my 10 month baby chipped one of his front teeth and they gave me an appointment right away for 11:00am. Got there at 10:55am. Super friendly lady at the front welcome me and my baby with a smile. One of the girls even helped me fill out the new patient form in an ipad which to me is more convenient and faster. Not even 10 minutes had past when one of the doctors assistants called me inside and explained everything very patiently and then follow to take an X ray of my baby's tooth. Super fast he didn't even cry. Then the doctor came checked my baby, again he didn't cry. At around 11:30 I was out the door which was perfect because going to the doctor with a baby this age is a mission since he doesn't wanna stay sill in a stroller. I was very happy with the overall experience and im looking forward to the 3 month follow up. The office is very pretty and clean. The doctor is very friendly and patiently responds to any concerns. Took my kids to Dr. Bob's office. Dr. Bob is very knowledgeable, patient and caring with the kids. He came very highly recommended and I wasn't disappointed. The kids loved the high tech office which includes iPads in the waiting room and tv's in every room.
