i've been having issues with my work truck for A while constantly adding oil took it to the dealership 3 times telling them this issue all 3 times they told me there's nothing wrong and it's weird why I keep adding oil so I ignored the dealership and went to Bob peters garage and wow such professionals they were able to pinpoint exactly the issue and also show me all the other issues that the dealers never pointed out I totally recommend these honest people such a hard time to find a real good mechanic finally found the one thank you Bob peters garage you're the best read more

Never again! $500 for front brake service pads and disks. Less than 5 months later a seized caliper. All the new parts have to be replaced. Now a $1,200 job on top of the recent $500! The garage Assumed no responsibility for workmanship. Truely shameful. read more

*** If you are a woman just beware this garage is dangerous. I brought my car here to get the winter tires changed to summers. They did the job. 1 month later my husband wanted to do a brake job on the car ( he is mechanically handy, we just previously didn't have the space to work on cars or change tires). My husband goes to take off the wheels and the nuts are very badly seized. They were tightened so tightly my husband couldn't take them off. I bought the car back to Bob Peter's where they said " no problem we will fix it for free". Once they were finished I drove home and when I arrived in the driveway one wheel nut fell off!!!!!!! 3 nuts were loose, and then the rest were still seized!!! We then took the car to oil changers, Mr. Lube, garage #1, Garage #2, and FINALLY at garage #3 they could get the nuts unseized. The CAA mechanic (he guarantees his work for 30 days) was in utter shock at the job that was done at Bob Peter's and was so sorry for me. He helped me and charged me next to nothing. I went back to Bob Peter's to show them the nuts and the owner yelled at me AND LOCKED ME IN THE OFFICE!! I was very scared. If you are a woman don't go to this garage. Been going here for years. Vince is a great mechanic and they never over charge or recommend un-needed repairs.

Have dealt with Bob Peter for about 10 years and restricted his service to me to oil changes until my regular mechanic retired and sold his business back in 2009...I then started seeing Bob Peter for mechanical work on both our family cars...Needless to say the service provided by his son Bob Jr was very satisfactory...Bob Jr has recently left his father's business for personal reasons and is now working for an auto dealership in the west end...I stayed on with Bob Peter Sr and have dealt with his only remaining mechanic, Vince...This past week I visited them complaining about a thudding rear end sound over bumps in my wife's Buick LeSabre...I had emptied the trunk weeks ago and still this thudding sound persisted...I had Vince test drive the car with me in it and he automatically deduced that the struts were causing the thud...When we got back to the shop, he didn't even offer to put the car up on a hoist to confirm the problem...He advised me to bring in the parts and he would replace all four of them...Not making any sense of this, I visited Ed's Auto on Wellington Ave and got a free-of-charge opinion from them...They hoisted the car up and determined that there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of the struts...The problem was the rear end tie rod end boots had deteriorated and there was metal on metal clunking at the wheel joints...Two new tie rod ends solved the problem at a cost of $100, including labor...Not to mention there was a bad wheel bearing which Bob Peter's mechanic Vince determined was in the left front wheel...It turned out to be the right front wheel...Again, without hoisting the car up, he was basically guessing wrong at what the problems were...If I would have had all the struts replaced, it would have cost me $600 for the struts, not to mention their estimate of 4 hours labor to change the struts and the bearing @ $95 an hour...The business is struggling mightily but has it become a situation where we are trying to bring in revenue under these circumstances?...Buyer beware of Bob Peter's Garage...I now have a new mechanic shop which will be doing any work on our vehicles from now on... read more
