Unlike other painters I contacted, the Powell team was easy to contact and actually showed up on time for the scheduled time slot. Their quote for the project came in right around the same as other quotes we received, and it was well worth the cost. I can't praise the level of service you get with Powell. Stephanie, who handles scheduling and billing, was on top of communications so that I didn't have to worry about anything. Even the owner, Bryan, stopped by at the beginning to inspect a few leaks we had in our ceiling to help us determine whether there were other issues beyond repairing the rotted windows for us to consider. They will even bring out the drone for inspection if you have a tall home. As additional rotted windows were discovered during the power washing, work orders to add additional work was clear and simple. Once the work actually began, it went so smoothly. Andre stopped by every morning and afternoon to check in and update us. Our crew, Thiago and Breno, were incredibly hard workers. They were at our home by 7:30 am every morning despite the terrible traffic and often worked past 7 pm even during a heat wave. The guys were experts on the ladders despite having a few high, tricky spots to get to. The worksite was clean after each day which I was grateful for as we have a toddler running around. The entire project took 10 days. While it moved fast, it didn't feel rushed and no corners were cut to finish quickly. They even paused the project for 2 days because of rain so that we didn't run the risk of streaky paint. In March a good friend of mine called me up and said that he found a good painter for me for the…read moreright price. He also recommended that I would do it right away. I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter who was going to paint my three-decker. Eventually, J&J came after all the repairs were completed and painted my house in 10 days. They were extremely efficient, professional, and pleasant to deal with. They answered my concerns by scraping, sanding, and caulking all surfaces. They used primer and good paint. Some of my neighbors came over to Josh to ask him whether he could paint their houses too. There was no drama, no mess. They told me in advance to inform other residents not to use the common area for a day or two. I definitely hope to hire them for inside jobs and recommend them for outside painting.
