We hired Hugo's team from Decolores to do staining of our wooden deck / gables and also some exterior painting. Hugo was very responsive and professional. His estimates were accurate and his team did a fantastic job. They have excellent attention to detail and meticulously sanded our deck surfaces. It looks new! He even offered to do a small section of exterior painting for free since we had some of the correct color paint left over from a prior project. We had some old wallpaper to remove in our 2 story foyer area. Decolores (Sue) was super responsive to our estimate and needs. Their quote was the most detailed in terms of breaking out the different costs which I liked a lot. Fernando ran point on the project and he was very professional, efficient, and nice. Hugo responded the next day when I asked him for a quote to paint the exterior of our house, and came by soon thereafter to look at the house and talk about specific tasks. His quote was very competitive. He was very honest about scheduling our job-- he promised us mid-October, possibly sooner. They just finished the job in early October. They came to our home one year and were extremely quick. The quality was marginal but customer service was good. Overall quote for interior and exterior were reasonable. There were a number of baseboards that needed painting. They indicated they would come back when we had more time in a few months (it was in the beginning of the pandemic and we were just about to have a child). I reached back out and they want us to pay 60% of the original interior agreement price just to have baseboards and a few doors finished. Because I didn't get it in writing, unfortunately they do not remember. I would encourage you to get all components of the job in writing. read more

All you need to know is that Decolores Painting is lightning fast! Pros: -I was quoted 3-4 days to paint 90% of the interior of my home, and it only took them 2 full days. We even added a bathroom to the scope of work on day two and they were willing accommodate us and still finish the entire job early. -They are professional every step of the way, from initial contact to final payment. I expected my house to be a mess with drapes and paint cans and ladders everywhere during the week, but they cleaned up after themselves every day, so my house was livable in the evenings. -They did a very good job overall. They use quality paints and the outcome looks very professional, not rushed. -We only got two quotes, one from Decolores and one from a competitor. Decolores was the cheaper of the two options. -You get a 15% discount if you book during the winter time. read more

We have been wanting to redo the hallway and stairwell since we moved in but hadn't been able to get to it but decided it was time. We reached out to Decolores and a few others for quotes and Hugo was very responsive and helpful with scheduling quickly. He was able to answer our questions, hear what we wanted and came back with a very fair quote. He also did a great job of noting the cost for specific items that we weren't sure whether or not we'd need them to do so we'd know the max and min estimate. We went with Hugo and his team and couldn't be happier! They were very detailed, were responsive to questions and also very hard workers! It was a hard job, they had to remove wallpaper from 1970 that went up the stairwell and through the hall and also ended up needing a skim coat. Hugo also did a great job communicating when he needed to do something that was on the itemized quote before they did it so there were no surprises! I can not give a higher recommendation! This is a family run business and it is clear all take great pride in their first rate work. Sergio and Hugo were absolutely great to work with, giving a quick appraisal, returning calls quickly, answering all my questions. They worked very efficiently and with with attention to detail, getting the exterior of my whole two story colonial painted in four days. I had a number of areas where the trim boards had small areas of rot in the wood, and the team proved to be expert carpenters in removing these trim boards and matching them perfectly to the rest of the trim. They use only the best quality Sherwin Williams paints. I especially appreciated that they use "Duration" paint on the trim. There was great respect for my property and they were able to work around my many trees and shrubs with no paint spilling and no damage. They carefully removed the shutters, and had pointed out that a few were already cracked and would need replacing. They returned after the new replacement shutters arrived and got those up with no need for even a second call back to them. Here are two examples of the attention to detail: 1. One of my shutters was taken to the paint store to get the paint for the front door as an exact match. 2. The stainless steel screws used to put up the green shutters were bought with already green painted heads to match the shutters. Hugo stopped at the store that morning to get them. Amazing! It was a delight from start to finish to watch Decolores Painting take over the transformation of our whole house (every single surface inside the house was painted because we moved in and wanted to change the colors). Sue is more detail oriented, exacting and perfectionistic than anyone else I work with and I LOVE that about her.
