He talks a lot about family and his wife and kids. he even introduced me to his family, including his wife and children by that caribbean kitchen next door, and I always viewed him as a upright family man. Because of that, I am extremely disappointed. Recently, I learned information from a close friend of mine that, in my opinion, does not align with the image Chai presents publicly. After reviewing text messages, photographs, a video, hotel receipts that were shared with me, and verbal confession from the 26 year old woman that I know well. I came to the conclusion that Chai was involved in a relationship with my friend's cousin while leading her to believe he was single, unmarried, and without children. This is very disappointing because someone I care about was, in my view, misled regarding his relationship status while he pursued an intimate and full blown-relationship with her. What disappoints me most is not his personal short commings but the feeling that the person I respected and trusted is not be the same person behind closed doors. I always looked up to you man and trusted you enough to bring my son to his shop. That trust is gone. Some of my family and friends said that I should have gone a spoke to Chai man to man, but I want people to know that this guy is not the kind, smiling and honest guy he pretends to be. He used my friend's cousin taking her to differents hotels across the valley. The hair cuts here is great, and While other customers going to this shop may have different experiences, I can no longer support this business. I will not be returning, nor will I be bringing my son back for haircuts. I am hoping his wife sees this too because she everybit kind and decent, and I bet she is in the dark as to what is going on. There was not a single milk based drink that didn't come with them. While tea and coffee are common at boba places, I'd yet to see one that almost exclusively included them in their drinks. I asked what there was that didn't have coffee or tea, and they pointed me to the fruit menu. From there you pick a fruit, then how you want it prepared (slushi, soda, yogurt, juice, etc), then you can add in toppings. I was already there so I figured I'd get something. I ordered a mango slushie and a raspberry one, both with popping boba. I was prepared to be disappointed (yet again) having paid $7 for a slushie, but as soon as I took a sip, I was blown away!! It was clearly much higher quality that your typical ICEE from the gas station. The flavor was super sweet and rich, and the ice was almost fluffy. After my last hair cut April 9th, I tried to book another last week for 05/16/24 and noticed I was unable to book appointments through Schedulicity. I reached out to Marcus by text to confirm the issue and he replied with a text message (image attached). Stating two reasons, one that I move my head too much (a medical condition I have) and also apparently ask him if a Spanish speaking country speaks Portuguese every single hair cut (completely false). He also stated that I am not welcomed back to the shop entirely. "need to find a new barbershop". I have a medical condition that causes me to move, restless body syndrome which can also cause tremors/twitches. It also makes it hard to hold my head still in the same position. Marcus isn't by all means the most friendly person I've talked to but he was initially professional with my condition and never complained and even if I was moving he would gently remind me to sit still. So now I am a bit embarrassed and if this was mentioned to me on any of the prior 13 hair cuts I would have gladly found someone else. There is a much better and professional way to tell someone rather than blocking them telling them to go somewhere else. Regarding the Portuguese comment, this has never happened as I know he is from Argentina and they speak Spanish. I consider myself to be well traveled and I do not speak an Portuguese, so asking this provides zero value to me as a traveler. So I'm not sure where this came from and if you're going to make up something to soften the discrimination of my medical condition, maybe think of something more realistic than to claim I asked you this 13 times over the last year and half. Especially since I found out he was from Argentina in June of 2023 when he mentioned he was going back to his home country for a trip in July 2023. I did speak to him about Argentina several times after he told me he was going there. This is mostly because I thought there was a connection regarding this and I have never been to Argentina, I plan to go there someday and it's on my list of countries I would like to move to. As I have also lived abroad twice already and make next destination for a move is South America. I'd like to learn more about the culture and politics in Argentina. Had I known this was off limits, which is my suspicion based on his Portuguese comments, I would have apologized and stopped immediately, this was never implied by Marcus. And unknowing his reason I did preemptively apologize in a text message which he did not respond to. I was not planning to write this review but after responding to Marcus by text and reminding him of my condition on 05/13/24, I expected an apology which I did not get. Also its unprofessional to ask clients to not mark services on Venmo transactions and I believe only Marcus does this.

Two phenomenal people and Iman is an absolutely killer barber. Now I usually look great but Iman made me look real great. One of, if not the greatest haircut I've ever had. They take their time and truly care about the work they do. Omar is one heck of a business man he has the building spotless and decked to the nines. You walk in and think "this is a $50 haircut here we go" no no no. Omars' human, he likes affordable just like us. So the haircut is $35 flat no questions asked. It's only $50 if your a man or woman that knows how to tip well! So do that!! Tip good because he makes the price affordable so you CAN take care of the man that took care of your head.
