Tonight, as is often the case, the side salad was in the bag on top of the hot food. If it had stayed there for the twenty minute ride home, it would have been well and truly wilted. I removed it but it was late, and dark, and I didn't see that the salad was also not fresh: some of the lettuce had black slimy bits. The raspberry topping was missing from the order. When I went inside the store to get the raspberry topping, the kid who was helping me tried to give me a packet of raspberry salad dressing. At least when I did get the actual topping there was a solid lid on the container rather than the dome lid with the large hole on top that seems to be Culver's default when it is ordered to-go (this makes NO sense to me when you're filling to-go orders: people need to get their food home without spilling it. Those dome lids are the next best thing to handing customers cups of topping without any lid at all). Just a little common sense and attention to detail would make me a happy customer. Sad to say, at the Troy Culver's I can't remember the last time all the items ordered were in the bag, or that there wasn't something wrong with the food itself. This all really makes me think I'd rather skip Culver's and just go somewhere else.

The ice cream is always good, though the soft serve is frequently runny, so I would not order a large cone unless you want to wear it or share with your dog (then no chocolate). They offer more than ice cream, like shakes, slushies, banana splits, etc., and some hot food but I've limited my selections to ice cream. Drive-up or walk up, the line is usually short and the service is typically quick. We can't wait for Spring!

The ice cream tastes like a sweet soft serve, and the Reese's candy in it will forever make the Cyclone a classic. Kiddos will enjoy seeing Annabelle, the store's mascot, in addition to use of the color-changing spoons. K&J's have a plethora of homemade hand-dipped flavors, in addition to shakes and soft serve offerings. Flavors are frequently changed up with new additions. Small spoon samples are happily provided as are (reasonably priced!) doggy cups (although pups need to enjoy theirs outdoors). Speaking of outdoors, several bright picnic tables have recently been installed for all. There is also a drive-thru for those in need of their ice cream fix, yet perhaps in their jammies.

There was a large assortment of flavors of hand dipped ice cream as well as soft serve. The ice creams aren't made in house but they have them shipped in from Wisconsin and they are very creamy and tasty. The prices were extremely reasonable and the portions were generous. The customer service was top notch. If you are in the area give this ice cream a try and you'll be happy you did. Definitely will be returning soon and telling friends and family to get out, support local and enjoy some indulgent treats.
