We've been going to Bob's for several years now and always had honest, reliable, and fair repairs. We won't go anywhere else!

I want to rate John's Auto a 10 but the site doesn't allow me to. My first experience with John's…read moreAuto was 2 years ago. They did my inspection for my registration. Their customer service is top notch along with their mechanics. I found out that my cabin air filter was absurdly dirty. Supposedly my dealer had changed that on a service call. I needed a new muffler and they replaced that. When I needed new tires, I knew who to contact. Once again, they were super friendly and scheduled me at my convenience. They gave me an excellent price for my four new tires. On top of that, my first rotation was free. I went today to have the rotation done. When I arrived for my appointment, they took my car immediately to do the job. When you need service on your vehicle, call John's Auto. You will immediately hear the friendliness and customer service the minute they answer the phone. Your vehicle will be taken care of like they own it and the price will be beyond belief.

I blew a tire on the highway. While waiting for AAA I googled the closest garage/mechanic, and…read morebased on the reviews and proximity I gave John's a call. The woman who answered the phone was super nice, talked me through how to look for my tire size, and looked to see if they had one in stock- all on the first call since I was in a precarious situation on a median off a busy highway speed merge. I eventually made it to them and they squeezed me into their busy day, repaired the flat on the spot, and patched it instead of upselling me a new tire. The mechanic was fantastic and friendly, the office was also professional and friendly- and you can tell it's a busy place with a long-time solid reputation. Made it back to NYC on my "new" tire and after my first affordable visit to a mechanic lol, I can't rave about them enough! Thanks John's Auto Care for your help today :)

Totally fine with me, when I show up to pick my truck up the guy tells me one of the lug bolts were missing. I called him out on it and he denied it saying it was missing already! I have a 2011 Honda. I went in to have a gasket installed. I repeat. I went in to have a single…read moregasket installed. I knew what was wrong. last time i was there for work they told me that was all i still needed. They just couldnt get to it at the time and that was a few months ago (I didnt mind as it just made my car louder). So i bring it in to finally have the gasket installed to get my engine light off. I later get a call about my car to find out they already installed a CO2 sensor and the gasket and they wanted to put in a front catalytic converter... for over 2 Thousand dollars. my jaw dropped at that outrageous price and i told them NOT to put anything in. turns out they already put in the gasket and the CO2 sensor and told me that i owe them $500 for it. 70 for the gasket (ridiculous). 70 for CO2 sensor (20 too high). and 70 for the scan (i didnt ask for a scan, i asked them to put in a gasket. that is it. if policy required a scan then i would have pressed them to install it the first time i took it in. but they never informed me of anything)... the rest of the $250 was for labor.... either they are extremely slow and it took them 3 hours to put in a gasket or they are incompetent or they are insidious. I leave that up to you to decide. this is the second time i got ripped off as they charged me 800 for 4 tires a year prior. My fault for giving them the benefit of the doubt and thinking it was a fluke. I reiterate. I just wanted a (one/singular) gasket put in and it cost me 500 bucks and almost cost me 2000+. Moral of the story: If you like being overcharged, ripped off, and for mechanics to do work that you never asked for, then this is the place for you! I was stupid. dont be stupid and make the same mistake I did. 0/5 Stars

Early this week I took my 2017 Jeep Wrangler to Mavis for a tire balance & rotation, vehicle…read morealignment and some front end work. Bottom line up front - Dave (Manager) was all over it with his customer focused approach to every person there. I experienced this first from the initial phone call to set an appointment, through my vehicle drop off and all the way through payment and vehicle pick up. I elected to wait for my services in the Customer Waiting Room and I witnessed this approach with every customer that walked in the door that day. Dave made the experience. I'll be back for any future mechanical and tire needs. Only 2nd to Dave was that of the Technicians working on my Jeep... I have absolutely nothing negative to say. Dave was upfront and honest and the Technician was quick, competent and proficient. Not once was I given the bate and scare high pressure sale tactic often used to manipulate you in to getting more than what's actually needed. I was provided a full upfront honest assessment of what was needed.....I know this to be true as I went in knowing exactly what was needed and the assessment aligned exactly with what I knew I needed. Not once did Dave try to push additional "recommend" services on me as they simply were not needed. I'd recommend this Mavis location to anyone. I'll be back for future services.

I called mavis and told them I needed decent all seasons as I drove 25 minutes both ways every day for work. They suggested tires that would run me around $900. Brought them in and got them out on. Soon as I drove home I knew something was off. Brought it back a couple days later and told them they were very bumpy and loud and the guys says well you shouldn't have gotten those tires. I am like these are the tires you guys recommended. Had a mechanic check it out and drive it around and said the air was a little low so they topped it off and it should be fine. Here I am three weeks later and my car pulls to the left, it feels like I am driving on a flat tire, and it is so loud I can hear it over the radio. It sucks being a woman going to a mechanic because the gaslighting is real. Avoid here ladies for your tires.
