We used Bob's Carpet and Flooring in Bradenton for LVT in all of our main living areas. We were advised that the floating floor is best. The floor is beautiful. However, the kitchen floor has dips and hollow spots in it that are terribly apparent to both our family and our guests. We contacted the Bradenton store in March. They sent out a repairman who said that the amount of movement was, indeed, unacceptable and and that it would be fixed to our satisfaction the next week. Four months, 9 phone calls, 3 scheduled repairs (none of which happened AND no phone call saying that they couldn't make it!), we still have no resolution. The manager has promised us so many times that he is "taking care of it." This company is deplorable. I would never recommend Bob's Carpet and Flooring. They are just not dependable. read more

I didn't look at the reviews before purchasing a manufactured wood floor. The sales person was knowledgeable and the installers they sent Clebson and Santos were great. They had the hard job of moving all of my big furniture. They did it with care and consideration for the walls and the furniture. Very pleased with my new wood floors. read more

We had a great experience with Bob's. Gerald helped us pick out the right carpet for our stairway and upstairs. And the price was less than I had expected to pay. The installers were wonderful. They worked steadily for more than 9 hours. For an extra $200 they moved a lot of furniture and replaced it exacted where we wanted it. Well worth it. read more

I called and they came out and measured up and gave us an estimate. We excepted the estimate and placed the order. The hardwood came in and it was delivered to our home 2 days before the installation. The installers were right on time and got right to work removing the old carpeting and prepping the floor for the new hardwood. They did a Fantastic Job. We're real pleased with the wood and the installation. The sales man over estimated the amount on hardwood needed for the job. Now I can understand having a few extra peaces just in case you need to make a repair down the road, BUT in this case we have a few PLUS a Whole UNOPENED case of hard wood left. I don't believe that we'll need that much for repairs. I called them and was told that the would NOT take the unopened box back. They overestimate on every job so you end up paying more. They say that they do figure an extra 7-10% for the job BUT A WHOLE BOX left over unopened , PLEASE!!!!!!! I Think not. So even though we are happy with the work we not happy with the overage. So if you have them come out be careful they don't bend you over... That's why only 3 stars.... read more

Bob's came today to install carpet throughout our home. The carpet they brought was not the quality we selected from the sample board. Less face weight (thickness). We spent over 4 weeks to find a carpet comparable to our existing carpet. Settled on a Mohawk carpet, but the game in this business is apparently to show a higher quality product, but deliver a lower quality and hope the customer does not know or notice the difference! Please save your time and money and don't order anything from this company! Not only they mixed up the color tile I had asked for, they also forgot to order the transition piece I had ordered. Now I have been trying to contact the store manager for the past three weeks with no progress. Stopped by the store several times to find out no progress has been done. At this point all I'm asking for is the grout to be placed and the transition piece placement. Even though the installed tile is the wrong color. The only reason I have given them 1 star is that they did a carpet replacement with no issues. I will never do business with this company again. Update: flooring and grout was finally done, with no issues as far as the person who installed it. However the color was wrong and took months longer than it supposed to, not to mention a bad customer service experience overall. read more

Worst company to work with. Strongly suggest Do Not Use! Fast talking slick salesman who knows nothing about floors and could care a less if the job is ever completed. We ordered floors for a small bedroom, the entire process took 3 months and numerous phone calls to finish and several different contractors unequipped to do the job. Wasn't the contractors fault, Bobs kept giving the wrong supplies and would never follow up with me to correct. I had a fantastic experience with Bob's. I had selected what I thought to be the perfect carpet but once I got the sample to my house decided it wasn't such a good choice. I called Chris with Bob's and described what I was looking for. He brought 4 or 5 samples and I found my perfect carpet. Chris's customer service was exceptional during the entire process. I only gave 4 stars because I was less than impressed with the contractors that actually installed the carpet. So I recommend buying from Bob's (Chris was awesome) but perhaps hire your own contractor. read more

We had a terrible experience with Bobs. It began well with my experience in store with their sales rep, Craig. However, it quickly went downhill after I had ordered and paid for the product. I was told it would be delivered in two weeks but several days after I had paid for it, I was told it would be more like 6 weeks. I requested that the floors be delivered to my home, but was told that wasn't an option since I was using my own installer and that we had to pick the floors up ourselves when they came in. After picking up the floors, our installer noticed 4 boxes were damaged. When I called the store, I was told that there was nothing they could do because once we had picked them up, there was no way we could prove that the damage hasn't been done during transport. I spoke with a store manager who gave me the number of a Desiree at corporate who never returned my call. I could not complete the project without ordering four more boxes of flooring (~$1200). I called around and found another company that charged me HALF the price for the product and got it to me in a few days. Poor experience and poor customer service. WAY over priced. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! Fast talking sales guy who shall remain nameless "K", will tell you anything to get the sale. Informed our large job- 1500 sq ft of vinyl would take 3-4 days and he would send his best crew. Turns out, this consisted of one guy who had others watch him do the work. While the work was done well, the job is now in it's 7th day. My home was virtually high jacked for this duration. Later, I found out this is the first time they have used this "crew". If you choose to use their installers, you may want to get completion date in writing as they do not care how long it takes. Zero customer service, always defensive. If you find the tile/carpet you want there and the price is alright, buy it but beware of any installation promises. read more

Bought beautiful carpet for my new home I just bought. However, don't let them come in your home to install. The sub contractor they sent damaged my closet doors and now will not fix them. Store manager, Nick came out took pictures. Tried to say they were installed incorrectly. Remind you this is a newly bought home. No where on the home inspection does it say these were installed incorrectly. After several calls and lots of back and forth, Nick calls to say they will replace. Great news, not so fast. They lied and have not came out to replace the damage. Stay away from the place. YOUR HOME WILL BE DAMAGED AT YOUR COST. read more

This place is a joke. I called last week and got a quote over the phone for 3 pieces of 10ft by 20ft commercial gray carpet for my company's trade show display . They quoted my $990 out the door . Said he would call when the carpet came in . Never called . I called the following week and spoke with a different gentleman who was extremely rude and he quoted my over $200 more . I explained I didn't catch the guys name who quoted me and he got defensive and said I was mistaken .
