My nephews are huge movie buffs and they love the fast and furious franchise. I did not go in here, so this review is based on what my nephew say.. they thought it was really cool to go in there. They each bought a souvenir. One of them bought a car and the other one bought some weird candy like some Dr Pepper cotton candy and some other things, but they really liked it and thought it was super cool. But a lot of people will be there taking photos so you probably will just have to deal with other tourists being in your photos. read more

My friend and I were driving thru LA to avoid the 101 turning on random streets that he recognized. I think he was lost but he wouldn't admit it. As we rolled by Bob's I immediately recognized it and my friend agreed to let me stop. We came at just the right moment and were able to pull up in front to snap some pictures. We were greeted by a friendly man who sold me some scratchers along with a coke bottle and a mango aloe vera drink. If you like the Fast and the Furious movie and happen to be in the area this makes for a fun stop. The market is open Sundays. read more

Our first stop was Bob's Market (featured in Fast and Furious), which was a great idea so we can grab some drinks and snacks for the rest of our day adventure. Bob's Market is a cool little neighborhood liquor store/mart with a variety of beverages, snacks, and some other home items. Did the car photo shoot then went inside with my friend to support and buy a beer. The store owner was an older gentleman and his wife was cooking something good in the back. He was a nice guy! Visited this location because of the movie, Fast and Furious. I am happy that it is still a location where people can visit and take pictures! Also, please support the business and buy something, even if it's some chips and soda. They are a small convenience store offering snacks and everything a gas station would offer. I saw an older man also buying scratch offs and lottery. At the cashier, I saw two elderly oriental persons and believed they are the owners. Support local businesses! Because it's been renovated and looks a bit different, people rated a bad review. There is street parking where you can park at but most will tow if you aren't aware of the signs. We parked for about 8 min and left since it is a small area and has a cross section. read more

No, there isn't any grilled tuna fish sandwich from what I seen, but it's owned by a very nice older couple, who will greet you with a smile. What I love about this market, it's the closest store to buy sodas and other goodies to take into a Los Angeles Dodger game. If you're advent Dodger fan who enjoys going to the games, you would know that the Dodger organization will let you take a few items to consume into the stadium, and Bob's has about everything you need. Located just one street south of the Elysian road (the main enterance to Dodger Stadium) on Sunset. This place became my stop before any Dodger game, and another plus....they sell Lottery tickets, and they don't screw up my tickets like those guys at the 7-11 in Alhambra. I love Bob's Market with a passion! As I write this, I am eating butter pecan Haagen-Dazs, chili cheese fritos, and a diet coke recently purchased from my beloved Bob's Market. They have an atm with a $1.75 surcharge, which ain't so bad, and recently started accepting atm/credit cards for a 50 cent fee. They sell the standard liquor store fare along with some random household items. The couple who owns the store are just about the sweetest thing ever. They always say hi and if I'm there during the day they ask me if I'm late for work. I go there so often that when I was out of town for three weeks as soon as I went back they were like, where were you! One of my favorite summertime activities is to take a walk down the street here and grab a popsicle. Anyway, I gladly shell out 50 cents to a buck more than what I'd spend at the supermarket in favor of a stop at Bob's Market, and most of the time their prices are pretty competitive anyway. read more

Whenever I go walk around Angeleno Heights to check out the Victorian houses I stop by Bob's Market at the end of my stroll for a nice coconut water and Ferrero Rocher chocolate. If you start around Carroll Ave and make your way up to a long curved street checking out these houses you will end up where Bob's Market is. The market is not too big but seems to have just about anything you would expect at a market. Best of all, I have never seen strange people lurking around. read more

I love this place. It's so convenient for me. Apparently it was in the first Fast and Furious movie, so it's kind of famous. People are always stopping by to take pictures. It's family run and it has been for many years. I get all my lotto tickets here and cooking necessities like eggs and milk when I don't want to go to the big grocery store. It takes awhile for the owners to warm up to you, but I don't blame them. I'm sure they've had their fair share of unwanted activity running that kind of store on a busy street corner. i grew up across the street from bob's market. that was 50+ years ago. used to buy a 5 cent pickle from the pickle jar. have gone back periodically over the years. was there today; 1.13.12. friendly service. new owner has had the place only 5 years. i gave him a brief history of the place. he was really surprised that i knew the original Bob and his wife. i'm craving to go back to bob's. if you google bob's market you will find an interesting history of this historic landmark. read more
