I called for Taxi twice and got hung up twice before I got to tell him that I need a stroller and a car seat

Please review your customer service standards. Make sure to tell your dispatchers to inform customers of your pay up front policies. Everyone is not from your neck of the woods and is unaware. Are you blaming your customers for not knowing? Review and make changes. As a new customer in your area I will stick with UBER! I can afford it. read more

Overcharged me for a very short fare then added $3 to use a debit card with no mention of any additional fee until I saw the receipt. Very dishonest. Also, when I left a review about my experience, they continually argued, denied what they did, and would not stop sending me annoying harassing emails. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Driver was on time but once he picked us up he told us "sorry guys but I gotta do a hospital pick up too." He didn't ask if it was OK and even got an attitude when my friend protested him making another stop. He merely threatened to leave us at a gas station. We continued with the fare but were displeased. Also, I believe it is illegal to do a double fare with a passenger that Medicaid is covering. A little shady. read more

Disappointing attempt to overcharge us. We ordered a taxi to Storm King Art Center and were told it would be $22. When it arrived another 2 ladies were also waiting for a taxi and we realised we were heading to the same place so asked the driver if we could all ride together. He said sure but it would cost us $40 for all 4 of us. We tried to propose paying $30 for the journey but were told we were foolish and didn't understand how taxis worked. Needless to say we did not use this service and rode with All Family taxi instead. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! Called for a taxi to pick me up and had an extremely terrible conversation with the female dispatcher. She was so bad that I preferred to wait in the rain and snow for a different taxi company. I will not use this service ever again since customer service is not a priority for them. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. ORDER A CAB AT 9:45pm on a Saturday night and a women told me it would be no more than an hour. We called back at 11pm and the same woman told us and this is word for word "oh were sorry but our ONLY DRIVER WENT HOME, do you want us to call another cab company for you?" I then asked why we were not called back and that I'm very upset, we had plans to be somewhere. Is there anyway you can still make this right? I think this is very wrong to do to someone. She said and again I quote "listen, there's nothing I can FUCKING do! Our only driver went home! Do you want me to call another FUCKING cab company or not!? Over an hour later, no phone call or anything..... And then YOU CURSE ME OUT?! Like are you kidding? Completely ridiculous WORST SERVICE I have ever received, BY FAR, by any company ever not just car service. I honestly have never left a review for anything ever, good or bad. I made it my mission to sign up to yelp to leave this review because of how terrible this company is. This company deserves a negative star review. Bob's Taxi doesn't show up and doesn't even bother letting you know when they are lost or having mechanical issues (supposedly). I have missed a day of work and now have guests stranded missing their train on a holiday as my last two experiences with this "service". Do yourself a favor and just start walking. You'll get where you are going much faster and with far less aggravation. read more

Taxi was on time, but the driver forgot to give me an item that he put in the back of his mini van taxi and when I called later that day and the following day, was given a complete run around and excuses for why they couldn't find it. So obviously he gave it to another passenger or kept it for himself. Don't they have a lost and found procedure that their drivers know about and follow? Won't use them any more!! read more

NEVER USE THESE GUYS! I scheduled a cab and it arrived 45 minutes LATE, costing me a plane ticket! The dispatchers kept say he'll be there in a minute or in five minutes and then threatened to cancel my cab when I got upset. Worst service ever, I have been calling the company to setup a pick up and the dispatcher keeps telling me to call when I'm ready, so I was ready and as soon as I called her back she hanged up on me. I called again and another person picked up the phone, I told him that I was ready and the guys said that he'll pick me up in 20 min!!! Really!!!! My flight was about to leave in 50 min... Used them twice and it was OK. Nothing spectaculer but OK. Lately they seem to go down the hill... One time I was trying to get a cab to the specific time to the train station, called in 1.5 hour, was told to call when I'm at the station. Ok I called when I arrived and I was told there's no cabs available. Another time I called for a cab for a specific time and was told to call when I'm ready, and when I was ready they told be it'll be there in 40 minutes. Had to call another service. Tried them once again and got the same treatment plus really rude attitude from the operator. No more, thank you. read more

We use Bob's to take senior citizens on a weekly shopping trip. Typically, they are VERY late, sometimes as much as an hour. The dispatchers are rude and will never tell you the truth about when you can expect the cab to arrive. One more than one occasion, we have called 3 - 4 times and have been told "In 10 minutes" each time. read more

NO STARS - Horrible customer service skills. Do not call if you need to be somewhere by a specific time. They don't care and double up sometimes even triple up on fares picking up or dropping off multiple fares. When I pay for a service I expect to be picked up and dropped off by myself. Not only is that a safety concern, it makes you later considering they were probably late picking you up in the first place. Each time my kids call them to go to work, they are usually anywhere from 30-60 minutes late. read more

On August 25th I called and booked a taxi from Bob's for an early pick up at 4:30am the next day. I told them I had to catch a flight and asked if that would leave enough time. I was assured it would. The phone call was professional and efficient. Unfortunately, the next morning despite numerous phone calls the taxi did not arrive until it was too late - I MISSED MY FLIGHT. I understand that sometimes there is traffic or mechanical issues. The dispatcher kept assuring me that the taxi was 2 minutes away. If the company had been honest with me, I might have had more time to regroup. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED. CAUSED MANY PROBLEMS THROUGHOUT THE DAY AS I MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS. read more

I don't everrrrrrrr write reviews cuz I think it's weird but this one right here needs to be said. DONT!! I repeat DONT EVERRRRRR call for bobs taxi. I was supposed to be picked up at 12pm and got picked up at 2pm (thank god i was only blood work and I could be there whenever) earlier in the same day I called a billion times to go to urgent care for my daughter and he kept lying about what time I was getting picked up, that medical transportation didn't have me on for him(when they did). Then after(on the same day) I had to get picked up from fishkill back to Newburgh after my blood work and it took him another 2 hours and still kept lying saying "2 minutes, 7 minutes, etc". Which this dispatcher does every time. I use bobs often for medical reasons so I know his games. Pls pls pls just say no. Do not give this company your money. Call taxi Rapido they are fast and cheap and nice each time. Needless to say I dropped Bobs taxi from my medical trips. Awful! read more

Absolutely awful! needed a cab to an event at my sons school. called and was told a 20 minute wait. called 40 minutes later and was told another minute. called 20 minutes after that and told hes on his way. ten minutes later, after waiting an hour and ten minutes, i called and canceled. i missed my sons event because of this horrible taxi service. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Bob's Taxi is the most rude, inappropriate poor excuse for a service based organization I've ever experienced. I called for a ride after my flight landed and was met with very rude customer service. I was told they would arrive in 15 minutes however after 35 minutes I called back to see if there was a problem and was told rudely that they'd arrive in 15-20 more minutes. The dispatcher was profane, called me names and told me not to call them back because I was wasting their time. To top it off, they never showed up. Worst service from a taxi company ever. We used this service to get us from Beacon Station to Stork King Adventure Center for a kayaking tour, about a 25 minute drive. They did not tell us that we were going to be sharing a fare with another group that was going in the opposite direction from us, and the car only arrived 20 minutes after the pick up time we had arranged. As a result, we missed our tour start time and had to go back home. The company keeps avoiding our calls and refuses to refund us. Never use this service, Clearport Limo is much better and more professional. read more

They had no idea where they were supposed to be picking me up & still didn't understand after I explained it to them. This is the worst taxi service I have ever experienced. The driver was rude, did not respond to "hello", the car was dirty and reeked of cigarette smoke. Furthermore when he arrived and we informed him that we were in a rush to catch a train, he refused to leave because "he was waiting for someone else to come to the cab." That is how shuttles work, not cabs....When we arrived at our destination, the cab driver insisted on each person paying $26.50. ($25 for the ride, $1.50 for the $1.50 bridge toll...that doesn't need to be covered three times). The driver backed off and decided my husband and I only had to pay $26.50 and the girl with us had to pay $22. Not only was this not what we were quoted, but this is obviously NOT how any taxi service legally works. You can not arbitrarily decide who is paying what amount when all three people got in at the same location and got out at the same destination. We were told "we didn't know how taxis worked" by Franklin, we were told he didn't care who we called, who we reported him to, or how bad of a review we gave him. NIGHTMARE! Don't even deserve a star! I call for the pick up at Fishkill farm drop off at beacon station. And the woman says it will be 30min wait. I told her it's fine, we can wait. And after like almost an hour the cab was still not here. And I call her back asking how long is still for the wait. And guess what, she told me" oh, we are busy. We are at Newburgh. You have to call the local service from Beacon." I was like" Excuse me? Then why don't you tell me when I called you like an hour ago. You said there will be a car coming!" What the hell! I understand you are at Newburgh. But since I can't get any cab from any local beacon service, that's why I called you. They could had told me they don't have service at Beacon at the first place.
