Wonderful store and a must for those who love "life is good" brand. Located upstairs, this hidden treasure is amazing.

We were here very briefly. We walked in exactly at 4:28 and as soon as we did a woman with long dark hair told us in a rude voice they closed in 30 minutes. We were coming into get some Fuzzy Bones they had displayed in their window. This was extremely shocking especially since 30 minutes is more than enough time to shop in a small tourist centered area gift shop. The ironic part is the signs on the door are very inviting and welcoming you in from the cold. But the staff member seems to be the exact opposite and was already counting money closing out a register when we came in. I hope that wasn't the owner because I'd assume the owner would WANT customers. I recommend spending your business elsewhere like we did!

It's junky and it is filthy. They sell junk. There is no parking either. Don't bother for this junk.

It is a two-storey store, leaving the second floor to a lovely sale rack and Life Is Good products.

The guide mentioned that the Riverfront area had dog- friendly shopping, restaurants, and tours. My Miniature Schnauzer Coco, who happens to be black, and I came across the Black Dog General Store while walking along the Historic River Street. In front of the store were two amicable women handing out treats to anyone walking with a dog. I politely declined the doggie treat since my pup has a very limited diet and could easily get sick by eating a random treat, but it was a nice gesture. We walked into the store, which had clothing, bears, bags, and a bunch of other random things, all with the Black Dog name and logo printed on them. The items were pricey, but the quality seemed to be good. My Coco loves humans and was open to the store associate and customers petting him while admiring his Schnauzer cut. I decided to purchase a duffle bag. While checking out, I was startled by a very large dog tied up next to the front counter, and Coco was terrified. Fortunately, we did not get close enough for the dogs to make contact, but it would have been nice to know the dog was there. If you are a bougie dog owner and have money to blow, then I would definitely recommend visiting The Black Dog General Store: Savannah.

It's sometimes difficult to determine who works there but if you even look slightly confused they will pop up asking if you need help. Haha. Their basics are pretty much always on sale and I find a lot of great items for my goddaughter. She's under 2 and is bigger every time I see her so I love that I can find cute outfits for her without breaking the bank. The clearance section is a bit of a mess sometimes but I think that's more due to people looking through the racks and not caring to pick up the items that fall down and not so much the employees not keeping the store organized.

The store is 3 stories, very clean, and organized well. You are able to move through the store without many problems. The elevators are to the back of the store behind the cash registers and on each floor there are changing rooms. I love stopping into look at their business professional/casual clothes, because the clothes are still modern for young men and women in their early or late 20s. If you get a chance stop in you won't be disappointed. Overall this store deserves an A. The store is large, generally clean, the clothes selection is large, and it's a great tourist stop. Pitfalls parking on Broughton requires parallel parking skills (if you get a space) and H&M clothes generally run smaller so don't be alarmed if you have to go a size or two up.

It's a small spot with loud music, which kinda was overwhelming, and the people that were working were a bit abrasive. My girlfriend and I both agreed about the one worker being too much in our business- we just wanted to roam around and look, but it kinda made us wanna get out of there quicker than we would have, had we had the time to just look on our own. The person kinda pushed to get us a fitting room, which we didn't need- I was afraid to hold anything up from the rack to look at, because I didn't want a fitting room. They have lots of cool things in there, but also very pricey. $150 for a windbreaker suit? Not today. We went to the shop a couple doors down where they let us free roam and the prices were WAY more reasonable. We were happy to check it out, but would not go visit again. Maybe this is the "Geriatric Millennial" in me, but give me my space to look and on top of that, don't charge over $100 for a windbreaker suit.

Prices may seem steep, but value for money is incredible given the rarity of some of these vintage pieces.
