I had the very good fortune to meet "Dr Candy" (as I call her) at my church sitting behind her for a few wks. Noticing that she was advertising in our parish bulletin, I introduced myself and quickly got very "good vibes" from her...& I was looking for a new GOOD dentist. During my initial consultation, we discussed some of my ongoing issues...& she was able to immediately identify that a lot of of had to do with my teeth alignment (lack of proper overbite). My grinding of teeth at night was degrading them over time leading to problems. "Dr Candy" counseled me to have Fast Braces & I agreed. It was less than 6 ms that I wore them and my bite was transformed to align correctly. Then, I had several new crowns installed and had two implants done --both involving some necessary bone growth/grafting restructure. Today, I am sporting a million dollar, genuine-looking smile...& I couldn't be more pleased. She and her staff were an absolute delight to work with including her periodontist associate, Dr. Michael Liss. I give them a 5-star A+ rating. Dr Goetz was very good, professional, attentive and careful to access the situation. I thought I needed a crown but the Dr felt the tooth was in tact and a filling would be fine. Well I was delighted it didn't need the crown. He also checked prior to see that the nerve was not involved and thankfully it wasn't. She got me in immediately to see Dr Winderbaum. When I arrived, I found the office to be clean and nicely decorated. Dr Winderbaum was very nice. After seeing my problem, we decided to replace my broken onlay. He gave me a great shot, which I barely felt and he had a very gentle touch. He seemed to be very conscientious as well. His assistant performed a digital scan of my tooth and had a very light touch. A temporary restoration was placed while I wait for the lab to return my permanent restoration. I would definitely recommend Dr Winderbaum. I found him to be compassionate and conscientious. I guess I found a new dentist.

After reviewing several Yelp reviews and speaking with my Parkland neighbors, I decided to schedule an appt with Dr. Barbag's office for a cleaning. Location: the office is conveniently located on University Drive, between Royal Palm Blvd. and Atlantic Ave. Office is in a professional building with other healthcare providers with plenty of parking in front of the building. Office: clean with plenty of seats and magazines, although I think a facelift would be nice. Btw, I have never waited more than 15 min for any appt, which is amazing, as I've often waited for an hour plus at other healthcare providers. Costs: Dr. Barbag accepts most major dental insurance and explains any co-pays or out-of-pocket costs before any procedures. Staff: very professional, experienced, modern, kind, caring and gentle. Let me stress the experience and gentle part, as I think these are the most important aspects of a dental provider. The staff always spends the time to explain the process, procedure and/or suggestion for care (that for the recommendation of Sonicare Air-flosser, it's made a huge difference). Network: I have needed a root canal and some oral surgery and Dr. Barbag has an excellent network of Endodontist (Dr. Brad Ginzler) and Oral Surgeon (Dr. Eric Fox). This place takes such good care of them and they're patient with them. Me? It took 4 years to get back in the chair! All the dental hygienist that my kids have had have all been wonderful but the one who took care of me was aggressive and rough and hurt. Also she came off as uncaring and rude. I'm a big baby so in no way did she try to comfort me until they were tears coming out of my eyes that I had to ask for numbing for the deep cleaning she was rushing through. I saw Dr. Malik because of gum overgrowth caused by a heart medication I take. He told me I would…read moreneed to change this. This is a big "ask" because I am sensitive and have side effects with many meds. I saw my cardiologist and changed medication, went through that adjustment period, and returned to him with the name of the new medication which he approved. Because of this I went forward with a laser treatment to remove the gum overgrowth. I paid several thousand out of pocket on top of insurance. The overgrowth returned a year later and my dentist sent me back for a follow up. Dr. Malik's response upon re-examining me was "Well of course it came back you are on a medication that causes gum overgrowth." When I informed him that I had changed it and he approved the change, he was confused at first, looked through my chart, and told me my current medication causes the same thing. While I know gum overgrowth can return, had I known the new medication had a risk of causing the this as well I wouldn't have paid several thousand to do the laser treatment. And I wouldn't gone through the extra cardiologist visit or the adjustment period in changing heart meds. I've thought about small claims court because it just sucked. Not an apology for the miscommunication. Nothing.Can you say medical gaslighting?
