If you like waiting months to even get an appointment, this is the place for you! i called many times over a nearly w month period and explained that i had some medical concerns that i wanted them to look at. each time i was assured that they'd get back to me within 1 day to schedule an appointment. they never called me. not once. i finally gave up and called a different doctors office and had an appointment scheduled within minutes. avoid this place if you have any other option. read more

Staff changes at this office steadily reduced this office to ineptitude. Dr. Simkins is great -- but the office staff fail to communicate effectively. To name a few, over just one year; they booked me for a blood test (in-house) on a day they don't do them, sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy (for the wrong number of pills) and, despite specifically requesting (and verifying) a day that Dr. Simkins would be in the office, I showed up for the appointment and only after taking my vitals they said Dr. Simkins was on vacation. I had to see Dr. Simkins not the PA. To add salt to the wound they said they would charge me for the visit. I lose money when I'm not working -- so poorly scheduled appts cost me money. This is the last straw. I'm switching doctors. read more

Easily the best doctor's office I've ever visited. The staff treat you like family and are very accommodating. Wait times are usually short and I love how the office opens early for people like me who have to get to work. I know some doctors in this area treat you like you're a piece of machinery on an assembly line, but at Boca Integrative Health, I really feel like the docs tailor my treatment to ME! The WORST experience with a doctor's office I've ever had. The office management and receptionists are extremely rude. Rachel is beyond rude over the phone, and has horrible customer service training. I was talked down to over the phone, yelled at, and my opinions were truly undermined. I was told "this is ridiculous I don't have time to talk to you", "you aren't medically educated or trained", among many other things. They refused to send over my lab results (which is a service that they provide via an online portal), probably because they want me to come in for an office visit just to get their check from the insurance company. It's truly a shame because Pippa Cobb, the nurse practitioner, is extremely sweet and helpful. Overall just horrible. They also call you with your lab results saying, "We got your lab results in, and we see stuff that concerns us, but we can't tell you what that is and you just have to wait until we have an appointment available." I'm sorry, but you don't call customers (especially new patients) like this with results that aren't normal. read more

I was seen at this office in the beginning of April 2017 as a new patient. The woman at the front desk (I do not remember her name but she was nice) swiped my debit card for my co-pay at her computer and informed me the charge did not go through and had to go to another computer and successfully charged my card. After I checked my statement I noticed the original swipe of my card had gone through and they had double charged my card for the co-payment. Okay, I thought this wouldn't be a problem I'll just call the office and have them reverse it. Well, since then have left the billing department FOUR voicemail's (without a single call back) and have sent a copy of my bank statement and received no follow up outside of two emails where I asked for someone to please call me with no success. The double charge of the co-pay is not the problem it is the principal of the way everything was being handled. I understand mistakes happen and this could easily be fixed if someone would take the time and call me. The lack of follow up is unreal. If it were the opposite way around and I owed the office $30.00 I'm sure I would have no issue at all with talking to someone from the billing department. I will never go to this office again because they do not care about the patient/customer and have no issue with tying up peoples hard earned money. read more

Incompetent and irresponsible. It is a disgrace that Dr. Crooks has a medical license. My husband has been held hostage for his medically necessary medications regardless of keeping regular visits. It is shameful. I have worked in healthcare over 10 years and have never witnessed the level of disregard for a patient's wellbeing as I have seen from this practice. As a new patient I scheduled an appointment for a well check up 3 weeks in advanced. I showed up before my appointment and was told no one would see me, they told me I was supposed to be there 30 minutes prior to my appointment to fill out paper work. I was not told this information when I scheduled the appointment. I took off work, got there early and they refused to see me. The office manager is a horrible person and I was baffled by how rude she was to me as a new patient. I could see her being mad if I showed up late to the appointment but I was early...they told me to reschedule and I will reschedule with A DIFFERENT doctor's office. I guess it's easier to find out upfront that this office treats their patients like crap. read more

The staff is great and great customer service, BUT my wife and I will never go back to this facility. I believe how this company operates for the "review of my results" is very SHADY and completely UNETHICAL. The team scared me into believing I had a health risk and that it was needed for me to come in and review my results. There is NOTHING wrong and I spent $35 on a COPAY and canceled company meetings in order to be there. Let alone the thoughts that were going through my head. Also, the unethical part of charging my insurance for a visit that was completely unnecessary. They manipulate the system and the customer, in order for them to make more money and that is completely unethical. I have been a patient of Dr. Evans for years. I had appt drove an hour, but I made it on time, just to be told I was considered a New patient and should have came in a half hour early so for that reason I would have to be rescheduled. What! Well, I would have remained a patient with them but my very favorite ARNP left. Word is this practice is continually looking to charge patients extra money for services they don't need, ex: lab work, extra visits, tests, etc. They also "fish" for patients. It's a shame when you have to be bothered twice in one day by this office requesting you come in for visits that you don't even need!!! I will be shopping around for a different Primary Physician. Really sad to see how this operations exploits their patient's. Oh yeah, helps when your in the health care business and you can see how blatant they are. I needed a new primary care physician and had been referred by my Chiropractor to Dr. Lisa Evans at Boca Integrative Health so I made an appointment for a wellness visit. It turns out Dr. Evans is in the military and was called for some sort of training or mission so I had my appointment with Philippa Cobb, Nurse Practitioner and she was awesome. I'm a firm believer in things happen for a reason; Philippa made me feel extremely comfortable during the entire intake questionnaire and the exam. I felt as if I was talking to a friend. She is smart, very thorough and very caring. I highly recommend this practice and Philippa Cobb. The office is clean, neat and comfortable; the wait times are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I'm happy I made the switch! read more

I never have to wait too long to see the doctor. They make same-day appointments available for sick visits which is great. Horrible first thing they don't tell you this new procedure when you make your appointment but when you show up and sign in they want your charge card on file and say that they will not charge it unless insurance company does not pay them and they will send you a detailed report of your bill which I never got either. my well check up is covered 100% they know that well I get an email only after a couple of days at 5:30 when they are closed that my card is getting charged for 299 for a well check up which I seen no doctor only a nurse and she told me they could not even do labs they did not of enough time ok I could of went to a surgeon for less and see him. and they never returned my phone calls either. Five plus stars for Dr. Lisa Evans and Dr. Jodi Simkins. They are wonderful, experienced and very good medical doctors. I've been going to Boca for more than 10 years. But less than one star for the office's new billing procedure, which bills your credit card WITHOUT sending a statement of charges after they bill your insurance. I was informed if I wanted to pay by check, I had to drop off a check as I had only 3 days to pay the bill. There is NO grace period before they charge your card, thus incurring finance charges. I've paid my bills faithfully for years, and this new billing procedure is making me think about changing doctors, which really grieves me as Dr. Evans and Dr. Simkins are top notch medical doctors. . read more

This doctor's office truly left me shocked and disappointed. As a new patient I was filling out the registration documentation when I was asked for a credit card. In this day and age we are wary of getting scammed so I asked what it was for and I was told that they will submit charges if there are any. I asked them to bill me instead to avoid unnecessary interest charges. I was told that if I did not want to leave a credit card I would have to leave them $100!! I told them that I just didn't have $100 to give them on the account as a credit "just in case". They told me that the doctor would NOT see me! I was actually REFUSED medical service because I did not pay a deposit!! Mind you I have good medical insurance. The receptionist was very rude about it too! Beware!! read more

I've been to this office a handful of times. I kept giving it a shot because I liked the concept of an "integrative" practice. The last time I went, just for a physical, I waited nearly 2 hours! Most of that time in the examination room. It was rude. By that point in the day, the staff should have known that I would experience a wait. Calling to let me know to either arrive later, or possibly reschedule, would have been appreciated. Especially since my time with the doctor lasted all of 5 minutes. Dr. Simkins is more interested in hearing herself talk than listening to me. During this same physical she reviewed results from various exams - that she already reviewed with me 1-2 months prior on an appointment that was STRICTLY for reviewing said exam results. My friend who referred me here made me think I'd get someone interested in getting to the bottom of what causes me to sick. Which while yes, I went through a battery of exams I never had done before, Dr. Simkins was more eager to prescribe something than troubleshooting. I've given this office enough chances.
