Instead we got a small plate of baby baked potatoes along with a few sauces. If you like spicy sauce, it was tomato based and so flavorful. Everything else was fine. Not amazing or innovative but definitely solid. The service was awesome. The server spoke very little english, but made up for it with energy and personality. He would not stop bringing the delicious bread and aioli though I begged him not to. He had a few nice recommendations which we were happy to oblige. There is interior seating but we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. The lentil soup was delicious and the cod with spinach was cooked to perfection. The food lacked the usual flavor key in Peruvian cosine - aji amarillo - equivalent to not having basil and tomatoes in italian food. The causas didn't taste right, lomo saltado was bland, and the ceviche was terrible. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt this one experience merits the extra effort. I leave two stars because people were nice. Wont be going back.
