Took a class via ClassPass here at 530pm for the Hot Power Pilates with Chandlor. This class was PACKED. Like way too packed, to the point where it was definitely a violation of the max capacity that room could hold. You barely had 5 inches between you and the person next to you on both sides. The instructor had to remove her mat and even when there was no room they still had people coming in trying to squeeze in an already jampacked room. I can't stand when studios pack these classes to the absolute brim it's a horrible experience for people taking the class. Not only was it packed, but because there were too many people in there it was extremely hot to the point I thought people would start passing out left and right because I sure felt like I was about to. I love hot yoga and have taken many hot classes before, but a class like this where you are doing a high intensity workout in an extremely hot room did not feel safe. everyone is also dripping sweat so the floors are soaked it's slippery everywhere lol. I love a good workout, and the workout itself was a good push but the capacity of the class and extreme heat was concerning and not a good look on this business. A good business would value their customers and know that people don't like to be packed like sardines, and have a limit in classes like that. read more

Great class, instructor was top notch. The studio smelled awful though during the heated class. Level of heat/humidity was great though. Area & parking lot was a little sketchy and dangerous drivers but did enjoy the mat Pilates class overall! read more

I love this studio!! Their heated pilates classes do it for me every time. All of the instructors are great and everyone working here is so friendly and helpful. Nice facilities and it's in a nice complex with a lot of other businesses. Good range of class times as well! I come here with class pass at least once a week because I like to switch it up, but if I were to get a membership anywhere it would definitely be here! read more

If you ever need to contact an employee here you can forget it... I payed for a membership and then got into a bad car wreck. I've been trying to reach out for over a week to see if I could pause my membership or just cancel the class I had signed up for, and their phone rings until it just hangs up, you can't leave a message, there is no contact email, and I have even stopped by the studio twice now during open hours and no one has been there. Really disappointed! I heard great reviews and was looking forward to trying it out. But knowing you can't contact anyone for ANYTHING... that's kind of a problem. read more

Are you looking for life-changing yoga? This place is just that. I have taken yoga for nine years, and this is the hardest yoga I have ever taken. However, it is a good kind of hard. Stephanie leads with love and she has such an open heart. She really cares about her students and offers constructive advice, with the goal of helping a person reach a higher potential. She doesn't push; she inspires! She teaches the tiny details, which can take your practice from good to excellent in no time. I really appreciate that! After every single class I feel like I accomplished more than I ever thought I could and that is such a euphoric feeling. I don't get that feeling really from anywhere else in my life. After class, I am literally filled up with a sense of pride in myself. Every single class I walk in not knowing if I will be able to complete it, but somehow I do! This place inspires me to try harder and dig deeper. Many yoga studios, actually I have found most yoga studios, are pretentious, aloof, and kind of guru snobby. This place is the opposite- it was a little shocking at first to be honest- how there really are no rules: in and outs allowed, leave for work 1/2 way through allowed, feedback during class allowed, some talking allowed, no masks allowed, phones (turned off) allowed, purses in room allowed - I mean unpretentious. These people are keep in' it REAL for real people doin' yoga. This isn't an intimidating show off studio! Saying allllll that.... the ice cold lavender towels at the end are what I really come for! Omg I think that is actually slice of heaven! It's the best reward after doing a workout on par with Dwayne "the rock" Johnson! Actually, I don't really want to scare anyone away, because they encourage modifications and I saw people of all different levels feel very welcomed there! Every time I've gone there, there has been somebody much older than me in the room, maybe even in their late 70s. I don't think they're selling yoga clothes anymore, and I wish they did because this is where I always bought the best yoga apparel. I have to say also their prices are so affordable... Everyone would be a little better person if they took yoga at the studio. There are many choices of studios around where I live, and I love this place! read more

I've been looking for a hot yoga studio with humidity that is also fun since I moved to north Phoenix from the east valley. There isn't many hot studios near me and the only one is more bikrham style and too boring for my liking. This place is great! I just wish it was closer to me. I did a month Groupon to try it out. I can't speak to anything but the yoga classes but the instructors are so inviting and encouraging! I am definitely buying a package which I was suprised pricing is really affordable unlike so many studios charging over double a class. The only down side is their cancelation policy. 24 hours is a bit hard if you need to cancel and they charge you but I just make sure to absolutely make sure I can commit to the time. I'm sure if there was an emergency they would accommodate. read more

Read google reviews-there appears to be a history of cutting off long time clients Check BBB for files. Do your research! It is clear something here is off. A couple months ago I did my 100th class at Body Alive in Moon Valley / Phoenix. Although I have been doing Hot Yoga & Pilates for 15 years, it always comes second after weights, biking, and triathlons. Now that I'm in my "60's" (ugh) and have injured nearly everything once, I value these classes more than I ever. Simply, I genuinely enjoy and appreciate this studio as well as the people who work there. Because I'm only in N. Phoenix a few days each week, I love it that I can get affordable packages and drop-in rates that give me flexibility. Nothing about Body Alive seems "corporate" - it is truly a neighborhood kind of place. That said, the quality of the instructors is simply exceptional. I don't want "easy", and they seem to know that. They encourage, they motivate, they know if its too much... they are professionals and as good as I've seen anywhere. They are creative, innovative and provide little extras - from workshops to my favorite lavender-soaked cold towel 5 minutes before the class ends. You'll like it there. read more

Had been great but they decided to be ANTI OLD PEOPLE. So if you are over 35, they will stop talking to you and if you give feedback you will be terminated over email. 4 people were sent emails terminating their memberships. All of them over 40. They were overheard commenting on a class and one of the "girls" lost her temper and terminated them. The hypocrisy is alarming since most of their instructors and owner are clearly sniffing the upper 40's. They also have a smelly drain issue in both bathrooms that spreads into the hallways. read more
