I wish I started taking Pilates sooner, but I am SO grateful that Susan has been my first Pilates instructor.

I've been thinking about taking Pilates classes for a few years. I'm new in town and recently…read morerelocated to the Phoenix area. I looked everywhere for a good Pilates studio, then went on Google and Instagram and found this gem. I decided to fill out my information and Libby contacted me. She's amazing. I told her about my history of injuries and that I wanted to rehab my shoulder, and she was so understanding. I got set up for my first class and was extremely nervous because of my injuries. Before class started, Libby explained how to use the machine and helped get me set up, which made me feel comfortable right away. My first intro class was amazing. It was definitely a challenge, but wow, I worked so many different muscles I haven't used in a long time. The instructor, Kaitlyn, was amazing too. She helped me throughout the class and kept checking asking how's my shoulder since they already knew about my shoulder and knee injuries. Most instructors wouldn't take the time to check in during class, but Kaitlyn was right there helping me during different exercises and helping with techniques. After such a great intro class, I followed up with Libby and joined. Investing in your body is the ultimate gift. Helping me rehab my shoulder and knee injuries is going to improve so much for me. If you're looking for a great environment with patient instructors who truly have empathy, this is the place to join if you want to see real results. I'm excited about the future of this studio. Awesome place.

I knew the minute after I signed up it was a mistake, first off there's no low introductory class…read more Period. The instructors are super young, they play annoying music, they don't pay attention to your form or if you misheard what springs are changed, or even if your form is correct. They don't allow for stretch in between strengthen. It's easier on the body to rest one minute and stretch in between moves not 15 minutes at the end. I was so spoiled at the last business i attended, that went out of business due to owner retirement. I gave Define another few chances for $170- I was only able to get 3 classes in for the one month time period, due to my busy work schedule, living 25 mins away, and suffering from migraines. Total rip off! Never again. It's easier for me to pay as I go but the sales pressure you into getting the so called best value- which is only best for the owners pocketbook! Listen Ashley LeGrand Jahner- your hyped up sales tactics you force on your staff isn't doing yourself a service- word of mouth on a bad business has a greater impact than your friendsies putting 5 stars on here. And- this is NOT concierge. Look the word up. Every class but the 7 am on the weekend had a waitlist booked out for weeks.

The heated classes are definitely hot, but manageable. I always leave feeling like I got a good workout. The community is very supportive, and I've had great experiences with all the instructors. I've taken many yoga classes over the years, and I have never left one feeling as hurt and…read moreembarrassed as I did after attending the Hot 60 class with instructor Niru Gupta. I have a very tight back and limited mobility, so there are certain back-strengthening poses such as Cobra, Locust etc I'm simply unable to perform at this point. Toward the end of class, with less than 10 minutes remaining, the class transitioned into a back series. Rather than attempting poses I knew my body couldn't safely do, I quietly moved into Child's Pose and Pigeon Pose to continue stretching and listening to my body, which is something I believed yoga encouraged. Instead of checking in with me privately or asking if I was okay, I was asked to get up and leave the in front of everyone. I was told my poses were inappropriate, that this was not an "flow" series and it was insulting to the rest of the class. It was humiliating and completely contrary to everything I believe yoga represents. Yoga should be a place of acceptance, mindfulness, and meeting your body where it is not a place where you're publicly singled out because you're modifying poses to accommodate your physical limitations. I left the studio almost in tears. Afterward, I spoke with the assistant manager, who was incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional. She listened to my concerns and assured me she would escalate the situation to the head manager, and I truly appreciated the way she handled our conversation. Unfortunately, the experience itself has left such a negative impression that I will not be returning. I also cannot recommend this studio to anyone who views yoga as a safe and welcoming environment for all levels and abilities. My hope in sharing this review is not to attack anyone personally, but to encourage growth. I sincerely hope Niru Gupta reflects on this experience and approaches situations like this differently in the future. Not every student has the same level of flexibility, strength, or experience, and many people attend yoga specifically to improve those limitations. A brief private conversation or simple check-in would have been far more appropriate than publicly asking a student to leave. Every student deserves to feel respected, supported, and safe in a yoga class, regardless of their physical abilities. Sadly, that was not my experience here.
