I've been to this place twice now and I like it for a few reasons. 1. Price - they have nice promos and I like their membership program (although I'm not in it). I've been thinking about signing up because the prices are great for the time you get there. 2. Location - I'm used to driving into Boston for a massage and it is nice to have something close with parking! 3. Staff - everyone here is super friendly and professional. 4. Atmosphere - relaxing and seems very clean. The reason why I'm taking a star off: I think the quality of your time here depends on who you get. The first time I came, it was AMAZING. Loved the massage I got (wish I could remember her name now) and that's what prompted me to come a second time. The second time I came for a 90 min massage, I was so DISAPPOINTED! I had a different person (Michael). While he was super sweet, here were my issues: 1. We started late because of room set up issues. Neither of our fault but he docked me for it! He should have given me the full time allotted. 2. He massaged only those areas that I said I have issues with. Now usually, I get a full body massage with extra focus on the areas I called out. Didn't realize he was literally gonna skip over everything else. 3. Massage technique was not good. Now I'm no massage therapist but it literally just felt like he was smearing the lotion onto me. He did good in a couple spots but the rest I felt like he was just lazily pressing with his fingers. Not much of a rub down at all. He asked me quite a few times if it was ok but I really didn't know how to tell him to improve so I just went with it. I just wanted to be rubbed down, not pressed on. 4. He skipped over a ton of spots. For example, massaged the out side of my calves, but what about the back of my calves and the inner side of my leg? Or he massaged the bottom of my feet but what about the top part of my feet? Massaged my lower arm but skipped the top part of my arm. Weird. All in all, despite the last experience I would still go back but I would be particular about who I get next time. Management - if you read this, please reach out to me. Very nice relaxing massage place . I got a one hour massage and the price was average . If you are looking for deep tissue I would make sure to specify . In my opinion, it's more of a relaxing massage not for treatment or someone with chronic pain . The pressure was extremely light which is great for some people but I really needed a deep tissue . I didn't really have any relief after but it was relaxing to say the least. read more

Sophia would not stop when told "this really hurts," and would not ease up when asked, "can you ease up?" Terrible experience, left feeling worse than before. She did not care or lighten pressure despite yelling in pain and did not even touch the area she was asked to focus on. read more

All massage therapists are wonderful and skilled; however, the management is very rude and unprofessional. I am 3 months postpartum and was told by multiple of their staff I could bring my baby if she was sleeping. When I got to the appointment with her (sleeping), the manager rudely approached me about it and told me if she cried at all the session has to end immediately. This was a unique situation but I won't be returning as I no longer feel good about spending my money at a place where they disrespect their clients. read more

I went for a deep tissue with Kate, my boyfriend had a sports massage with Andrew then we both had Jamie for our facials. We can't stop raving about our experiences. The receptionist was equally as kind and professional as the staff. We both came out so relaxed and unstressed. The staff wore masks though they were vaccinated due to close contact. We were not required to but we did have to show proof of our vaccinations. I loved the overall experience and will very likely be coming back. The price is very reasonable and well worth it. I really can't in good faith recommend this place. I waited awhile to review this as I wanted to not go around spreading bad vibes for businesses at the holidays, but what I experienced here prior to the holiday was very concerning. On the upside, they got me in quickly. But it became clear that they booked me quickly because the massage therapist I saw was clearly exhausted to the point where I felt he could barely give a massage, and certainly not a deep tissue (what I had booked.) This reflects first and foremost on *management* of a business, not on him. I have worked as a scheduler at spas and many hotels which offer massage services. Booking your people so much work they cannot perform their jobs well cheats not only your customers, but your staff - it is a lose lose for everyone. Furthermore, booking a deep tissue massage which then requires your customer to make constant requests throughout the entire session (90 mins) for more pressure, or focus on the areas already discussed, is not okay in any way. I would have preferred to hear "no one is available" rather than this. The therapist was visibly stressed by the exertion, skipped entire areas I had requested, and very oddly, chose to instead massage my stomach (unusual) and inner thighs (needless to say very odd). Nothing at all inappropriate occurred, to be very clear, but the sum total of this experience was at best disconcerting. I do not recommend this establishment unless you have a therapist already known and trusted at it. read more

Just finished up with Chad. I had got a recommendation from my doctor and OMG!! I got a deep tissue massage and it was incredible! I've never had a massage like this! He is knowledgeable, he educated me on things I need to do as well as advised me on my diet Chad took extra time with me. He is truly a master of his trade!! Highly recommend! read more

I have been coming here for almost a year now - I try to come for a 30-minute massage once a month. I love that they offer 30-minute massages for a very reasonable price. (And I joined with the membership for the better price and perks - such as, anyone in my household can get my membership rate!) The facility is very welcoming and clean, and the front-desk staff is very nice and easy to work with. They schedule their massages with 15 minutes in between each session - this BLOWS MY MIND and I think everyone should do it. First, it means that even if I'm early, my massage therapist will take me back almost as soon as I get there (and she has never been running late). And I always get the FULL 30 minutes of my massage. (And the one time I booked a 60 minutes, I got the full 60 minutes. ) This does NOT include the time to dress and undress - and I truly feel after my 30 minutes that it's the perfect amount of time. I'm very thankful that they give me my full time. I really like Donna and keep coming back to her; she asks me how I'm feeling before each appointment, and I feel like she really listens and accommodates what I need each time. She also suggests stretches to do during the week and we've even talked about what type of pillow would be best for me. And her massages are truly healing, restorative, and exactly what I need. I'm not sure if it's because I tell her that I get frequent tension headaches, but she ends each session with a neck and head massage that loosen my temples. When I can't go in for more than a month, I really feel the difference - and as soon as I go back to her, I feel like my stress-related headaches disappear. I also saw one other massage therapist when I was having extreme pain in my shoulder and neck and Donna wasn't available. I can't remember this other person's name, but she was also excellent and helped me immensely. I get the sense that the owner, Tim, is very picky about who he hires. And whenever I see another person in the waiting room with me, they seem just as happy with the service as I am! read more

Came in for a last minute relaxation massage yesterday afternoon.Was so excited they had a last min opening when I called! Haven't slept well in over a week and I'm sore, cranky and achy. I'm 5 months pregnant and have sciatic nerve pain. My two main requests for a prenatal massage were- put me to sleep and help me relax. A session that should've started at 2:00 didn't begin until 2:25 ( was called in at about 10 past). at 2:53 she told me what time it was and mentioned that we were past the end time (so I get a 20 min session, but pay for an hour!?) but then gracefully shared with me that she would continue and give me a little longer to give me a treat because I'm pregnant. Are you sufficing for my pregnancy or forhow slow the session was going? I'm confused here.. She was VERY sweet. I will give her that. But her ability to listen to my requests, and how long it took her to work on my body- was kind of unacceptable. She never rubbed my belly ! which is the best part of prenatal! I love being caressed along my linear negra and it makes the baby dance! And she never rubbed my feet (I know when pregnant you have to avoid certain pressure points like the ankles because it cause contractions amongst other things), and she rushed through both my outer legs. Most of my session was focused on my neck and shoulders- and it was PAINFUL. Her pressure was too rough and I was ignored when I asked her to be gentler. In the beginning- she spent FAR too long on my pecks, and my shoulders. I told her her pressure was too rough and kindly asked her to let loose a bit, and she told me she knew what she was doing. She wasn't rude- and tried to share why she was doing what she was doing.. And her response was "I'm certified!" But where I started getting anxious and upset with my session, was that the pressure was too much to handle 5 months pregnant. I thought you weren't supposed to apply too much pressure when pregnant!? I thought it was strange that she had me lay on my back as well. Today I woke up VERY sore- and I had a broken night sleep last night (again) and she triggered my sciatic pain. I give two stars because when she worked on my lower back, I started falling asleep multiple times. Some of her movements are wonderful. But the rest made my experience not so great! I'm seasoned with massage- I go VERY regularly. My home massage spa did not have the opening I preferred and today I wanted to try something new. I am so thankful for this place! I've been seeing Jenifel Candelario for massage for more than a year now. She's an extremely intuitive therapist who recognizes what's going on with my body. She applies enough pressure and strength to work out knots and problem situations without leaving me feeling beaten or bruised. She's effective but gentle. She can do deep tissue massage, but in a way that recognizes exactly how much my body can take. I used to suffer from migraines, but they have largely stopped since I've started seeing Jenifel regularly to address tension in my back as shoulders. Also Body and Mind's monthly membership is reasonable and flexible. Highly recommend! read more

Concerning my first visit this weekend; Before the session, I spoke to a gentleman who I guess is the owner, he was pleasant and polite. The massage given was very good; however the masseur was not talkative and did not explain what he was doing. A few sentences would have been adequate. The session ended abruptly and just short of the 1/2 hour. I had a brief social conversation with the same gentleman at the front desk. Since this was my first visit, I somewhat expected him to try to encourage me to become a repeat customer. There was no sales pitch. His demeanor seemed to be that he would be happy if I came back, but if I did not, well that would be ok also. Maybe they have too many repeat customers already. Not sure if I will go back but if I do, I will ask for different masseur and hope to have a better experience. read more

I came for a 60 minute Swedish massage a while ago ( great price) and have to say that the place is clean and relaxing. The staff was professional and very nice, but the massage therapist did not use any oil when she did my neck, it was painful and left blood blisters that looked like hickies! Unfortunately for that reson I did not return and have since found other places that are mindful of using oil where it's needed. In retrospect, I should have spoken up and told her I needed some oil, but it was my first massage and I wasn't sure if that was how it was supposed to feel...oh well. I'm sure that without that hiccup I would have fully enjoyed the experience and I may give this place another try in the future, but for now I'll stay away. read more

Today was my third visit to Body & Mind massage and was the best so far. I called for an appointment late on a Friday of a holiday weekend and they were able to accommodate me for Saturday afternoon which was perfect for me. I do wish they had an online scheduling system, though. But that's just me. I had Michael today and he really did an exceptional job. The place is very clean and pretty, the room had dimmed lights, soft music, and smelled nice. The table was warm and comfortable. Michael asked me what I wanted and I told him I really needed help with my right shoulder blade and neck area in particular and I really needed him to concentrate on that as I have chronic pain and tension in that area. He asked all the right questions before starting such as if I had slipped disk, and how much pressure I felt I could handle. He checked in with me during the 60 min to be sure I could handle the deeper pressure, which I could. I appreciated that there was no small talk, just enough talk about comfort is the way I like it. He gave me great head to toe massage, but he did not disappoint with the concentration on my shoulders and neck, spending considerable time working out all the knots. When it was over, he brought me a bottle of cold water. I feel great and my shoulder blades and neck really feel great. Melted away all the tension and the range of motion in my neck is improved. Will definitely go back and try to get Michael again. They have a membership program, too, which is a good deal if you want to get monthly massages. read more

I called to book 2 massages @ the same time. As usual I wait till the last minute because my husband & I have a busy schedule. They did not have 2 @ the same time but took my number. They actually called in another therapist to accommodate us. Right away I felt special. My husband was so relaxed he thinks he fell asleep. I enjoyed my therapist (not good at names) we chatted & she only spoke when I asked a question or initiated it. Which is great because once I get comfortable I like quiet. I also like the sound of water & she had a noise box that could give me that right in the room. Great experience! Am going to get gift cards for my family for Christmas! read more

I can honestly say that I just got home from the best massage I have every gotten. I wanted a relaxation massage but I did want some pressure so that the shoulders that had been up near my ears at the end of the week relaxed! Riley was TERRIFIC. She asked questions before the massage and then was terrific and, other than checking to make sure I was comfortable and that the pressure was fine, was QUIET! Personally I like quiet during a relaxation massage (obviously more communication is needed if your LMT is working on a knot or knots). The place was clean and the staff friendly. They did not try to sell me on their "club" which, especially during the holiday season when I feel like someone is always trying to sell me something, was especially nice (although I do think I am going to to take advantage of the great prices and sign up for the club....if the other therapists are anywhere near as good as Riley I will be a very satisfied customer!).
